  1. Trump endorsed a candidate for the Alabama race who lost. Incredibly he endorsed the sane one. Alabamans nominated a religious nutcase who favors state-violence for homosexuals.

Alabama: what a sh*thole. Can’t America just hand it off to Iran? Iranians are probably too cultured to tolerate that hole anyway.

  2. How much are you paid to lurk here? You’re often the first response to a new post. Those of us who work for a living can’t do that because, well, we have jobs to do. Where does your livelihood come from?

  3. John Gormely interviewed a farmer from Assiniboia, Sask. region on CKOM , a gent. named Colin Lethbridge. I can’t find any details on the net.
Please note that I missed part of the show that aired at 10:00 AM today.
In the last while, the Prairie South School Division had hired certain folks from the LGBT community. Two members of the group know as ”Moose Jaw Pride” were hired to speak at Assiniboia Composite High; the topic was gay, lesbian, tansexual (etc.) life. Assiniboia is in the Prairie South School Division with office at Moose Jaw, Sk.
According to Colin Lethbridge, a farmer from the Assiniboia region, (who was interviewed on air by CKOM’s John Gormely) his daughter arrived from school and was deeply upset at what she had heard at a presentation in her grade 9 class that day. When her Dad questioned her, she reiterated that the speaker(s) were very crude and inappropriate, using language such as ”having been butt raped” etc. etc. Allegedly, at one point in the presentation, one of the speakers told the kids that it was OK to do drugs, as long as they (students) used clean needles and were in a safe environment. Some of the students were so upset they left the room. One of the students who tried to leave was harshly told to ”sit down” by the teacher in charge of the class.
The CKOM on air interview lasted approx 20 mins. with quite a few responses from the audience. Keeping in mind of course that in Grade 9, students are sometimes less than 15 years of age. Very disturbing interview. I can’t seem to find it on CKOM’s web site.
Not a topic for Grade 9.

  4. Hefner was a true free speech advocate. He was a fried of MLK and provided defense funds for Lenny Bruce.

  5. An even nastier shit-hole … a really enlarged beyond natural shit-hole … is the Gay gestappo. They won’t be happy till they can have the “pick” of every hetero Alabaman in the State. “Git up on that hill, and git them panties down”. Too bad “the gays” can’t just go play with themselves, and leave the rest of us alone.

Whenever I read something as INSANE and ludicrous as this … from a sitting Senator … I just assume that his constituents are ghetto-dwelling dolts. In this case it appears as though the Oklahoma trailer parks sent this “genius” to the Senate. And I’ll bet this twerp gets BIG votes from … The Reservations.

  7. The Alabama vote was a test of Third Party strength… Mitch lost even with Trump’s help….The Republican establishment are flat liners
Don’t send money to the RNC because it will be used against Trump if he moves to a third party..They are frantically using Trumps name to raise money for the Swamp critters….Abolish the filibuster (actually racketeering, buying & selling minority votes) or you are gone.. Mitch.
NFL: The stock market has to account for a >60% loss for the NFL teams & Broadcast Sport advertisers….Shorting will start with CokeE & Bud.. Could shave 1000 points off the market.. The California Department of Public Health has reported that the Golden State has seen a 40 percent increase in cases of sexually-transmitted diseases (STDs) since five years ago.

“The California Department of Public Health also noted that California reported 250,000 cases of STDs in 2016 alone, noting that young people, African-Americans and gay and bisexual men had the highest infection rates.”
Funny, you never see that last part discussed in today’s identity-correct mainstream media. They probably will once they figure out a way to blame Trump or the Republicans for it, though.

  11. Anyone had enough of the overpaid sports twits and their managers playing politics? It seems to me it’s just another chance to display more over-the-top Trump hate…
Disgusting too is the Canadians who have gotten on board, going after Sydney Crosby for deciding to go with his team to the White House on Trump’s invite. Thankfully Crosby has it right, he is going, it’s his decision.
Another key question, how is this a “race” issue? I thought by now we were colour blind?

Liberal Justine ask, Bill Morneau who?
    …-
“A new front opened Thursday when the Conservatives raised the issue of conflict of interest.
When he became finance minister, Bill Morneau set up a conflict-of-interest screen with ethics commissioner Mary Dawson “to assist with my obligation to abstain from any participation in any matters of decisions, other than those of a general application, relating to Morneau Shepell Inc.,” where until his election in October 2015 he had been executive chair.
During question period, Conservative after Conservative pointed out that earlier in the day at a meeting of the finance committee, expert testimony had indicated that Morneau Shepell would be one of the main beneficiaries of the move to increase taxes on passive investment in private corporations.
“The minister said he would recuse himself. Why did he not recuse himself when the proposals so clearly affect his family company?” asked Candice Bergen, the Conservative House leader.”

Volcanic eruptions can cool the planet
Scientists say Bali’s Mount Agung volcano is set to blow. Previous major volcanic eruptions have had a cooling effect on the climate, with one even leading to what became known as the “year without a summer.”
“Plunging temperatures, snow, freezing rain and gloomy days devoid of sunshine – such was the weather scenario in 1816. So cold and miserable that it became known as the year without a summer.
From China to Europe and North America, crops failed, famine-like conditions prevailed, and infectious diseases spread, leaving a trail of civil unrest in their wake. As devastating as the inclement weather and its consequences were, they inspired their share of dark literary masterpieces.
It was during that year that Mary Godwin penned her stormy and bleak Frankenstein, while her soon-to-be husband, poet Percy Shelley, wrote of the extinguished sun and stars and the mornings that “came and went and came, and brought no day.”

“Gillen D’Arcy Wood, “1816, The Year without a Summer”
    Abstract
The so-called “Year Without a Summer”—1816—belongs to a three-year period of severe climate deterioration of global scope caused by the eruption of Mt. Tambora in Indonesia in April, 1815.
With plummeting temperatures, and disruption to major weather systems, human communities across the globe faced crop failures, epidemic disease, and civil unrest on a catastrophic scale.
In cultural terms, the dreary summer of 1816 is best known as the setting for Mary Shelley’s writing of Frankenstein, a novel whose iconic Creature offers a figure for the millions of hungry and dispossessed of Europe during the protracted climate emergency that followed Tambora’s eruption.”
