  1. To put the UC Berkeley complicity with ANTIFAs fight to END Free Speech into perspective …
    http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-uc-pensions-20170924-story.html
More than 5,400 UC retirees received six-figure retirement checks in 2016 alone. The number of UC retirees collecting six-figure Pensions has increased 60% since 2012. And the retirement checks which have been UNfunded for the last 20 years (as a means to make the UC budgets “appear” balanced). As a result the entire STRS (State Teachers Retirement System) is in jeopardy. Which means my hard-working 1st Grade teaching wife has a paltry retirement which is in jeopardy.
The Public sector UNIONS have been systematically blackmailing the government into increasing the wages, benefits, and (ungodly) massive pensions for decades. Larger and larger proportions of the State tax revenues go to pay under-funded pensions. No wonder our infrastructure is crumbling … because all the gas tax revenues have been diverted to pay for … well … nothing. Nothing that the people actually NEED.
Imagine if a conservative speaker requested a UC Berkeley meeting hall for a lecture about how the students and taxpayers are being fleeced by greedy UC system professors and administrative workers? I now understand WHY UC Berkeley (among other UC system Universities) have been FIGHTING against Free Speech with every conceivable roadblock.

  2. Bears? I shoo them away with a .303. I never hit them because I don’t want a 300 pound pile of rotting goo in my yard.

  3. I’ve seen what a bear does inside a building.
This guy is one dumb pheque. Maybe a return visit when the bruin destroys his place will smarten him up.
    Not likely.

  4. *sigh* well meatman … FIRST … let me apologize for the malignancy of Cailifornication spreading across the Globe. As I continue my search for a suitable RED State for retirement, I discover that the spread of Californian liberalism has poisoned almost every State of the Union … and now Canada. *sigh*
(Sarc. on) I am truly sorry that Ontario has become a colonialized holding of the Golden State. But I have to admire Gov. Jerome Brown’s “creativity” in searching for a victim State to bail out his FAILing Cap and Trade program …
    http://www.sacbee.com/news/politics-government/capitol-alert/article97380457.html
And I cannot adequately express my delight that Ontario will be funding Jerry’s “high speed” train running between Modesto and Fresno. I feared for my own property values plummeting as the State increased taxes to PAY for Jerry’s boondoggle … but now YOUR property values will be plummeting! (Sarc. off).
Jerry Brown is certifyably INSANE … and it will take a Trumpesque candidate emerging in CA to reverse his 4-terms of disastrous deep state destruction. Jerry has invented and expanded dozens of Bureaus of Eco-“salvation” in this State. Literally tens of thousands of new bureaucracy crats imposing sanctions, fees, restrictions, and taxes on Californians. All in the name of “the environment” . The “clean” air and “clean” water bureaus are running completely amok … and mismanaging resources … such as Oroville Dam.
I am truly sorry that you now need to bow and scrape before Jerry … showing fealty to the (effectively) independent State of CA. The only remedy and redress for us peasants is at the ballot box and in the courts. Sadly … both of these remedys are also malignantly infected with leftists, mitigating their effect.

  5. Doesn’t anyone remember the Chicago Climate Exchange. The whole problem is, thanks to innovative people, there will be an endless supply of credits created worth, in the end, exactly nothing. They will adopt the same policing system as organic fruit and vegetables i.e. none.

  6. Thank goodness US church ushers carry guns. WND:
“Church shooting spree stopped by usher with gun
1 dead, 8 injured, including gunman – from Sudan”
Unfortunately he didn’t die and will go to trial.

  7. Make the UN Great…3D chess, distract ’em with NAFTA talk…
The Trade in Services Agreement is an “important” trade deal that should not “fall by the wayside,” U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer told the Senate Finance Committee on Wednesday.

TISA’s Worse Than TPP—Kiss Internet privacy and national sovereignty goodbye – National Economics
TPP was killed because Congress wasn’t going to go along with it and US President Donald Trump withdrew the county from the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) as soon as he got into office.
But now we’re finding out that it lives on through the Trade In Services Agreement (TISA). TISA has actually been around for a long time, some 21 rounds of negotiations since April 2013.
And while many things can be said about TISA, it was obviously designed as a back up to TPP. In fact one can speculate that TPP was actually expected to fail and TISA was developed to take its place.

please don’t be too hard on “the artist formerly known as aubrey” for refusing to cooperate in two toronto homicide investigations… he desperately needs the street cred”
“His new persona as the cocksure prince of hip-hop seemed to clash with his middle-class Jewish upbringing and former career as a teenage soap star. He was raised by his mother in Forest Hill, an affluent and predominantly Jewish neighborhood in Toronto. He attended Jewish day school, had a Bar Mitzvah at age 13 and observed the Jewish High Holy Days with his mother.”
the mean streets of forest hill… where the biggest threat you face, is getting your cheeks pinched publicly by your elderly bubbe.

  9. The latest snowflake meltdown … at Simon Fraser U in Burnaby BC the sports teams are called “the Clan” to honour the Scottish heritage of Simon Fraser.
Now some snowflake professor wants to change that name because it reminds “many people” (?) of the Klan (watch what ye say, lassie) and that “makes visiting sports teams very uncomfortable.”
The local TV news found some visiting sports team fans (SFU plays American colleges unlike most Canadian universities) from Seattle, a black couple, and they thought the name was fine.
You have to wonder, but they could go with clam, it would be regionally appropriate and adding the extra squiggle would employ a lot of otherwise out of work university graduates.

  10. For your regular readers.
Who said it and who was he addressing?
“Is the right honorable Lady aware that the report has now been received from the public analyst on a certain substance recently subjected to analysis and that I have obtained a copy of the report? It shows that the substance under test consisted of ferrous matter of the highest quality, that it is of exceptional strength, is highly resistant to wear and tear and to stress, and may be used with advantage for all national purposes?”
    Have fun!

If Canadian teams want to follow the dumb-assed antics of the players and owners of the NFL then this is the act to follow to oblivion. A football stadium is a venue for sports not politics. If you can’t stand for the National Anthem of your country then leave, but don’t try and pretend that you are above the values of the country that allow you to make a generous living for playing a game. As imperfect as you believe your country to be it is a far, far better place to live in than 90% of the rest of the world, and there are thousands upon thousands that died to make it so. Evidently the majority of players in major league football that graduated from college and universities were not educated but rather indoctrinated. If you asked any of the kneelers what they were protesting, you would received a Trudeau quote, “um! ah! well! um! ah! sigh!”

  12. Now some snowflake professor wants to change that name because it reminds “many people” (?) of the Klan
I laugh at her niggardly understanding of US history.

  13. So some goon named Megan says this is a fight for equality. I’ll buy that. When do I get payment for my work that she anywhere near that of a professional football player? In truth, I (like many) am getting sick of these silly antics aimed at getting attention, rather than real problem solving. If the players want to contribute in a positive way, they can mentor underprivileged kids and provide help in their communities. These anthem demonstrations are just a way of blaming some vague undefined “other” for the problem.

  14. Bill The NFL players are supporting Black Lives Matter…They are an Anti- Police group of Black’s involved in violent crime…Cops are Pigs in a blanket, fry them like bacon.. They are low life Sick Bastards
Baltimore BLM demonstration became a riot, looting & burning the City.. The black Mayor & black AG indicted ~5 police,,, The Police were acquitted by the Black Judges…False charges…Civil Rights of the police were violated by black AG who runs drugs…But CNN ran it gavel to gavel… worthy of support?
Dallas: The BLM demonstration included a sniper who killed 6 Cops…The BLM went to ground during the Election.. Worthy of Support?
The NFL players are encouraging the BLM to continue Rioting, Looting, Burning & killing of Cops & whites…The football stadiums will become battle zones
The NFL players have started a race WAR.. The NFL better Wake up and send them home!

  15. The sports tantrums are still the same old tantrum about losing the election. For Obama’s term, none of those players cared. When Trump was on the scene, a few cared, and now that he is elected, everything is an OUTRAGE! Statues must go, the flag is evil, and our country has been a disgrace for 200 years!
Funny, the statues, flag, and anthem were all fine for the 8 Obama years. Only now are they all intolerable.
The only difference is that some people think it is hip to disrespect now that Trump won the election.
Part of this reminds me of Shiny Pony years ago saying that calling honour killings or female mutilation “barbaric” in a government pamphlet was intolerable. But nobody in the media asked him, “Okay, what term would you use? If this word is so bad, give us a better one.”
In the same way, if these spoiled herd – followers think the US is so bad…. have any of them been asked what country they would rather live in? Which countries have vastly better human rights records, or who have never ever had slavery?
Or why they are not protesting the public beheadings of minorities in countries today.
Nah, they are just following the herd of other entertainers who are still upset about losing the election. Like I said, the flags, statues, and anthem were all okay a year ago.

  16. Thank You Antenor. I was thinking the same thing all day.
I blame the MSM that blares this garbage 24-7. Today, on CKOM Regina, Gormley ranted about this incidence time and again, opposing President Trump.
I back Trump all the way for being upset at NFL players who refuse to stand and participate in the National Anthem before a game. Never mind patriotism. How about those players who utilize multi-million dollar facilities that most often receive municipal, state, county and federal grants. When these entities go broke, who bails them out?? I remember the bailout that New York city received from Gerald Ford and company when the city was theoretically bankrupt.
As to why the Saskatchewan Roughriders (Sunday) locked arms in solidarity over an American issue that has absolutely no connection to the CFL, and when they were on Canadian soil, that doesn’t make a lot of sense. In my opinion, it was just another means of creating chaos at what was just another football game. Nothing more.
