Interesting social conservatives like Lemieux and Trost made it into the 8th and 10th round respectively; with Erin O’Toole making a credible 3rd finish.
Andrew should provide some “Scheer” excitement as he comes across as balanced and unflappable, unlike his opponent on the Liberal benches. 2019 election time should prove to be fertile ground for the Conservatives, as the directionless selfie absorbed ‘good time’ guy policies will by then be shown to be bereft of traction.

“The Liberals and the Liberal-friendly media will certainly attack his policies, but it will be hard for them to paint him as a Machiavellian danger to democracy, as they depicted Mr. Harper.”
Suuure, Let me know how that works out?
I bet he gets the respect that all Conservatives always get.
Alberta voted Bernier? How come?
N. B. and N. S. voted Scheer? How come?
Wish I’d made a $100. bet with my friend who thought Bernier was a shoe-in because Scheer wouldn’t be accepted in the east.
The interesting thing to me is here on fantasy island, conservatives are based. Seriously look at the results here. You’d think we’d be full of red torries but nope it’s all hardcore right wingers. Is there a link to see the number of actual votes in each riding?
If he’s smart, and I don’t think he’s dumb, the very best thing for Scheer to do is to sit down with Bernier and ask him for his Top 10 list. Then offer up his own Top 10, and ask if they can’t winnow that down to a joint Top 10. Then, he has to offer Bernier the job of Deputy House Leader. The final ballot was 51/49. That means that there are a lot of folks out there whose vision is one of smaller government. Scheer, and conservatism, cannot afford to put the Bernier conservatives on the back burner.
A listener to local radio station today e-mail’d a comment that our leaders are Sunny and Scheer.
