  1. April 6, 1968 – the decline of Canada begins as PET is elected leader of the Liberals

  2. My city is sexist. In the current census, I only had male or female to choose from when questioned about the sex of my house’s residents.

  3. We have a divisive, racist fool who was elected twice as US President, and the way things are going the US may be looking at Hillary Clinton next. We have a “progressive” juvenile moron running Canada, who smokes pot after dinner and who panders to everyone who will give him a vote. Alberta is now run by socialists who want to kill oil and gas. Ontario is run by commies pretending to be socialists pretending to be moderates – what a joke. Universities all over the West have been completely taken over by the left.
And along comes Trump, a breath of fresh air, and 48.5% of Wisconsin Republicans vote for Cruz!
The rank stupidity of the average voter in the West defies all belief.
Don’t come crying to this blog when the West goes to hell in handbasket, if it has not already. The “Trump” opportunities will soon be all gone.

  4. “…some of they crying saying they just wanted money to get a Passport to go to Europe with it.”
“These ISIS (Islamic State) Fighters were captured by the Kurdish Forces of YPG as they were attacking from inside Turkey the Kurdish positions, they are crying and begging for their lives,…”

The take away line, “they just wanted money to get a Passport to Europe…”.
    Maybe Canada also.

  5. The GOP pulled back from the brink tonight and moved decisively on a path to nominating Ted Cruz on the second or third ballot. Trump was up eleven five weeks ago in wi and lost by 15. The momentum candidate has lost his mo.
Cruz will be – easily the most conservative nominee in American history – Reagan isn’t close, nor is – if you look at their platforms – Goldwater.
And with a Win in wi sanders may be on his way to winning the dem nom – he’s got the cash and the mo to run a full blown campaign in ny. If he wins there hrc is finished – the ex officio delegates will abandon her in droves – they can’t have a repeat of ’68. If sanders pulls it off, he will be the most left-wing dem nom ever.
America will definitely have clear choices if that happens.

  6. He helped pass amnesty in the senate, it was only Cantor’s loss that stopped the bill. Are conservatives in favour of open borders?

  7. Something to give yourself a headache first thing in the morning. I there a Canadian and provincial one

  8. Wisconsin — like a number of other states was rigged. Roger Stone is documenting this. Cruz is the NWO candidate (just like Justin). They cannot allow Trump to win as it would upset their plans for the one world communist state.

  9. Yes, well, most would agree that the McLaren joke was inappropriate and crude. I am pretty sure that many Conservatives were in the audience, so clearly even Conservatives did not find this humorous. Having said that, seldom have I seen such enthusiastic coverage by a major newspaper of a social faux pas at a modest rural fundraiser. I doubt the Star has covered anything in Carp for 15 years or more! Astonishing! Even going so far as to ask Stephen Lewis his opinion of a bad joke. Well, now that Liberals are in power they pretty much need to dig deep to continue find criticism of Conservatives, but surely newsworthiness should play some role in their reporting.
I do have to ask you, 60something, if you have such contempt for conservatives as a group why you spend time on this blog?

  10. Joke probably fell flat because we have all heard it many times before…

  11. http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/ndp-resolutions-left-shift-1.3522012
The NDP “grassroots”, which I take it means the Far Left sector of that Party, wants to go full tilt communist, no more pussyfooting around.
They demand a guaranteed income for all, free medical AND dental, dirt cheap daycare, huge minimum wage, “aggressive” taxation, and want Canada to tear up all Free Trade agreements.
I think they want to turn us into North Korea, we just don’t know who their “Kim” is yet.

  12. The NDP’s “Kim” is Justin, he’s just in disguise right now as a LIEberal. He stole their policies in the election campaign, and what he didn’t steal, he flat out lied about, often and steadily.
My wife saw a good facebook post last night, going along the lines of: “All those who voted for Trudeau, hold up your hand! Now, take that hand, and slap yourself in the face for being a stupid idiot!” Apropos

  13. Colter Wall is great Saskatchewan talent. Sounds like he’ll be gone a fair bit in the next while as he tours the US. Hope he always finds his way back home.

  14. “Cruz will be – easily the most conservative nominee in American history”
Dream big. Live in reality. Currently Cruz is a useful pawn for the RNC. He can’t pass Trump but he can keep Trump from getting a majority of delegates. In Cleveland a compromise(d) candidate will burst forth to save the day for the RNC and Dems.

  15. Cruz had to win Wisconsin to maintain momentum, but has just started getting the 80% of remaining delegates he needs. Unless and until Trump loses support, he still has it. Next, Cruz must win Indiana, even then he can’t stop the Trump train, only the voters can. The next must win is Pennsylvania.
Meanwhile, the Donald loads up with NY leading the charge, probably including Pennsylvania.
What this does mean is it all goes down to the final primaries, super duper Tuesday, June 17th including decisive California, with the winner take all (by congressional district) 172 delegates. Trump leads there, no way he can win it and be stopped by electoral means.
Nearby the frantic GOP elites plan their suicide coup, running Monte Carlo scenarios through Rove’s whiteboard. Their problem is it doesn’t look as if the RNC chair wishes to play ball with them. All this fuss, likely followed by electoral loss, to not stop Trump.
The right can’t stop eating their own.

P.S.Knight passes, leaving us poorer for his passing but richer for his having lived.
We do not make engineers nor tradesmen like that anymore.

“‘Cold blob’ to be a wild card in the 2016 Atlantic hurricane season”
“The potential movement of a ‘cold blob’ of water in the North Atlantic Ocean may be the wild card in the 2016 Atlantic hurricane season, experts say.
The cold blob refers to a large, anomalous area of colder-than-normal sea-surface temperatures, located east of Newfoundland and south of Greenland.
“This area of colder water started to show up a few years ago and has become larger and more persistent during the past couple of years,” AccuWeather Atlantic Hurricane Expert Dan Kottlowski said.
“”The big question is whether we will go into a La Niña, which is what we’re anticipating right now,” Kottlowski said.
La Niña is characterized by cooler-than-normal ocean water temperatures in the Pacific Ocean near the equator.”

  18. The GOP are suicidal. But they deserve it because, for years now, they have been running on right-wing ideology, winning big, and then selling out for the Washington bonus bucks. The only reason Kasich is still in is because the GOP Oligarchy want him as a spoiler. They want a Ryan coup.
I hope Trump and Cruz outflank the GOP oligarchy by announcing an alliance. Trump Pres, Cruz Veep.

  19. The establishment invective and venom towards Trump, Cruz and their followers has created an unbridgeable chasm. You cannot have a compromise with people you have demonized.
All those so-called white, red-neck, low intelligence and just plain bitter supporters will stay home and The Hag will win.
Mind you, that is quite acceptable to the GOP oligarchy as they keep their corrupt Washington bucks.

“The likely bankruptcy of solar developer SunEdison Inc is pulling down so-called yieldcos, once thought of as a safer way to invest in the notably volatile renewable energy industry, and bringing in income-oriented fund managers who say they are picking up shares at a bargain.”

    One comment:
    “Ottawa Poog 2 hours ago
The profitability of solar companies is vitally dependent on governments or their agencies ordering that consumers pay higher-than-market prices for the electrical output of solar farms. Any movement to force solar farms to offer their electricity at market prices drives down the prices of solar stocks.”

  21. Justin defends the $500 a plate fund raiser dinner with his Justice Minister, stating: “We as a party have always demonstrated a level of openness and transparency in how we’ve conducted our affairs” Perhaps no one told him about adscam . . . Digby Wharf . . . BC Rail . . . Ornge . . . etc. Trudeau lives in a dream world. Once again a double standard from the left. We will see how robust the media coverage is on this.

  22. “The establishment invective and venom towards Trump, Cruz and their followers has created an unbridgeable chasm” Robert of Ottawa
Relax Robert… If Trump is the “Master of the deal” he will win on the First Ballot. If he is unable to work within the GOP he would be a terrible President and deserves to lose…..
There are 2 candidates for VP, each with enough delegates…. both are hitting Cruz…
He will get his head out of his plumbers crack & surprise Carl, the grim reaper & Mitt the Twit
    JMHO

  23. I for one have been referring to him as Kim Justin-il in these here pages for several years now.
