1. After the disgrace that the last Star Wars film was, Lucas has some work to do getting me to care a d@mn about his movie. Natalie Portman should curb stomp Lucas for that travesty of a character he stuck her with. Aaaaagh!

2. Phantom speaks not with wisdom, thinks I.

3. Compelling it is not.

4. The child in me has hope for a great movie. The adult in me knows that story will once again be sacrificed for special effects. Still,…….the anticipation runs deep in this one.

9. A couple points.
   1.) The movie is still 12 and a half months from release. Things will change.
   2.) George Lucas has absolutely nothing to do with this film. It’s now a Disney production. For all the good and ill that will bring.
   3.) after the “prequels” the franchise has nowhere to go but up
   4.) The trailer may appear amateurish, but it gives a few small glimpses of what may yet come.

10. A black stormtrooper? Really? Did J.J. Abrams not watch the first six movies? The stormtroopers are supposed to be clones of Jango Fett, who looks decidedly Maori. Geez, at least try to keep continuity…

12. For the Younglings this was made, to teach them that equivalent are ISIS/ Ewoks they must.
    The Dark Force is strong, it has long ago turned the likes of ET & LAS to the dark side.

14. JJ Abrams screwed up the Star Trek franchise too. I told people back when they first announced he was doing Star Wars that he’d do this.

15. Well, it’s nice to see Star Wars fans have finally surpassed Star Trek fans for annoying, crashingly-un-self-aware pedantry. Who had November 2014 in the pool?

16. Phantom, you really don’t stick that sticking anti-gun Natalie Portman with a roles displaying how guns are needed against bad guys is a good thing? For me that was the purpose of her role – now whenever she starts spouting about how no-one needs a gun, she can be asked “so why did your character in Star Wars need them?”

17. Yeah, that’ll make a great toy to market to the fans. No sarc intended.

18. Han Solo and Luke Skywalker didn’t have cloned Mauri looks either when they donned the stormtrooper outfits. How do we know the black guy isn’t also in disguise?
    I for one am looking forward to the new sans George Lucas Star Wars movies.
