If you don’t speak Dutch you’ll need to turn on closed captioning (the little “cc” box at the bottom right of the video). If you do speak Dutch…may I offer you a throat lozenge?

Perception will always play with the mind and preconceived notions can easily alter reality. That video was funny but not surprising. Talking about detached from reality, the election cost a certain brainwashed millionaire with eyes on the White House a bit of a setback. Love it.

Concerning another thread here today, Fair Pensions for All, I found this piece fascinating. A few years ago I read Hayek’s The Constitution of Liberty, and can very vividly remember my shock upon reading the passage below quoted by Gary North, which essentially argues for “fair pensions for all”. Hayek! HAYEK! Ken (Kulak) will find this interesting I think.

Hilarious – it was Flemish most of them were speaking.
The recent accusations brought forth by two anonymous NDP female MPs against two male Liberal MPs makes for an interesting scenario. I do however have problems with Justin Trudeau’s train of thought and how he handles Liberal party affairs. Now Thomas Mulcair and Trudeau are at odds. Mulcair has said (on TV) that he feels that Trudeau should not have revealed any details (publicly) before the issue had been properly investigated.
Like–hello Canada. Shouldn’t a sexual harassment case be handled by the RCMP or Ottawa Police? Who is Justin Trudeau to decide who investigates a case that has criminal overtones?? Here is but one of many views on this topic.

Yes, I could understand enough of it to make sense of what they were saying. A couple of word understandings is all you need.

I suspect that the money pissed away on wind and solar greenwashed scams in Ontario could have built a new state-of-the-art reactor, that would provide power 99% of the time.

The Canadian military has emerged as a potential destination for the controversial French-built Mistral helicopter carrier ships, built for Russia and now at the center of an international row after France indicated it would not hand them over, in response to international indignation over Russian actions in Ukraine. . . .
Sanctions imposed against Russia did not prohibit the final delivery of the two Mistral ships, but the French president decided that the deal should go ahead only if Russia meets two criteria: one, genuinely observing the ceasefire between the Ukrainian government and Russian-backed rebels that was signed in September; and, two, agreeing to formally resolve the conflict in Ukraine. . . .

As you say.
I found it a bit amusing last evening watching Mercedes Stephenson on CTV News Channel insinuate that Tom Mulcair was “playing politics” with this item. It’s Trudeau who’s playing politics: as Ivison notes, even that most self-serving of opportunists, Kathleen Wynne, has never, by her own account at least, played it Trudeau’s way in similar circumstances. Even more of an eye-roll was Don Martin’s comment about “poor Justin Trudeau, caught between a rock and a hard place”, or words to that effect. I sure am looking forward to cable unbundling.
Trudeau just had to turn the item into a public spectacle intended to burnish his own credentials (if you can call them that), given that he is being overshadowed now on every front by Harper. A two-line news release stating that such and such have been suspended from the Liberal caucus until further notice, with information possibly to follow at a later date, would have been the professional way to handle the matter. But then nobody would have known, would they?
“I went to the circus and question period broke out in the middle of it” is not what the country needs right now. While the matter is serious and ought to be appropriately pursued, it is not central to the nation’s business. The backlash over this nonsense will be significant, IMO.

“A series of small explosions targeted the homes and vehicles of officials from President Mahmoud Abbas’s Fatah movement in the Gaza Strip on Friday, members of the party and witnesses said, causing minor damage but no injuries.”
http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/11/07/us-mideast-gaza-palestinians-idUSKBN0IR0PB20141107
So who set up these explosions? ISIS, Hamas? I doubt Israel would have done this, as why antagonize Fatah if it is quiet? Hamas and Fatah have been mortal enemies ever since Hamas killed a number of Fatah in the Gaza strip a few years ago after Hamas was “elected” in Gaza.
Well, the Netherlands is different:
If you eat at a cafeteria you will notice they have 100 varieties of pureed meat.
When you go to the supermarket, cold cuts come in 2 packs, i.e. 2 slices. This despite being raving green loonies.
BTW, you will also notice every toilet has a brush so you can take care of the business the low flow toilet misses and if your in an apartment, right next to the low flow toilet is a shower that will knock you down with the force of the water. 2 different drains? No I checked.
I went into a Praxis, its like a Home Depot in America but twice as large and with no customers. I figured it was either run by the mob or there is zero pressure on the real estate to produce.

And then there is research that any ignorant, as opposed to “expert”, plebeian observes on daily bases as a matter of fact.

That seems to be his pattern, making what he no doubt considers bold public moves:
– he fired Grit Senators from caucus (big part of election machinery jettisoned) based on the actions of a few.
– his petulant insistence on reviving a dormant issue – abortion – demanding acquiescence to his personal views for a vote that isn’t going to happen.
– his latest top down insistence he will reverse, out of hand, Tory tax cuts.
– let’s not forget his reassuring offer of help to Iraqis trapped in the mountains – with cold weather training.
He honestly thinks he’s brilliant and has himself believing his polling has anything to do with electoral reality. It’s his undoing and will continue to be with the Tories gleefully pointing out every peccadillo.
