And we need to pledge to one another that, when it finally comes, we will eat the “environmentalists” first.
In February 2014, Fortune Minerals was given Ministerial Approval by Saskatchewan’s Minister of Environment, to build a minerals processing plant near Langham, SK. However, since that time, environmental groups have been posing unregulated questions – sometimes hurling inaccurate claims at the project ranging from misguided to deceptive – which may lead to the project not proceeding.
The RM of Corman Park will soon be requested to grant rezoning approval to Fortune Minerals for the plant to be built – by a vote of the councillors – and should the environmentalists have their way, this will not happen. And given the councillors answer to their constituents and the constituents have been fed a barrage of misinformation by those same environmentalists, the vote may not support Fortune Minerals.
The council vote could – in effect – overrule the Provincial permitting process.
After roasting them over the dried husks of weak-kneed politicians who have forgotten that functioning democracies do not subvert themselves to the demands of the unelected fringe.

Enviromoronic opposition groups should not escape close
scrutiny of those who comprise their executives or where
their financial support, domestic and foreign originates.
My list starts 1:Politicians, and then 2:Lawyers. No exceptions.
Municipal politicians are typically uneducated buffoons. Entrusting approval of large scale industrial projects to them should not be allowed. Did I say they are idiots?
“functioning democracies”????
That has got to be the greatest line since “I am not a thief”
You beat me.
So much for Wall making any difference at all in Saskatchewan.
The good news is that another recession will be here soon. They have a way of sharpening people’s priorities and strengthening focus. Environmentalism requires easy times.
I am not eating a single environmentalist, they should be utilized in a much more environmentally sensitive way… as fertilizer.
Circle of life Simba.
In a famine you are likely to be less picky. Still, I’m sure some will be found to be unfit for human consumption. These will be invited to participate in The Greenhouse Gas Reduction Program (a nice name for your fertilizer).
Better marinate them a long time first, or the meat will be bitter and stringy.
Dysfunctional folks have a right to live in dysfunctional communities.. Hopefully idiots are keep in clusters.
You forgot 3: Uncivil Disservice Mismanagement and 4: Social Workers
Municipal politicians are typically uneducated buffoons.
Only thing worse are educated buffoons, which pretty much includes all the rest. A little knowledge being a dangerous thing.
Municipal politicians are typically uneducated buffoons.`
Yes, these inept winners of a popularity contest are usually the lest qualified people to be making decisions on big projects.
5. Child Abduction Services.
Hows about those ‘Organic Enmvironmentalists’, Mmmmmm tasty – wait…I smell pigs___!
The other “white meat” — because, let’s face it, they’re all pretty much white.
I think it’s really the blind grasping for power of their overweening ambition.
Thank God so many of these deluded nitwits are also vegans of the organic religion.
I prefer not to eat carnivores.
i am always amused by the absolute conviction from the utophianists, that they will be exempt from the consequences of their demands.
These fools have never understood how fragile civilization is.
Funny how the activists and agitators always count on the police and civil society to protect them.
yet the cops are pigs and society must be overthrown?
In their words.
“So much for Wall making any difference at all in Saskatchewan.”
And how would Tommy Douglas or Allan Blakeney have handled the situation? If the socialists were still running the show, this debate wouldn’t even be taking place. Unless, of course, Fortune Minerals was proposing a crown corporation to grow, store and market potatoes.
Cut their money off from foreign sources. Dry up any monies by governments. Its the only way to kill this beast that destroys our economies. No Nation on the planet has as many national parks or green areas, No Country spends as much as canada on the enviroment. Its never enough though. because this is not about environmentalism. Its economic sabotage by foreign interests.
This kind of treason should be addressed for what its is. Out & out corruption by people being bought by enemy interests against this Dominion.
That’s a lame deflection.
This kind of treason should be addressed for what its is.
This kind of fascist rationalization should be called out for what it is.
Do you have even the slightest clue what a fascist is?
From a letter to my own dear brother, sent yesterday at 3:27 Pacific:
“..the people who think like that are legion (because of the ubiquity of the propaganda, probably even the majority), and it is a social ill, because it breeds despair, and people and “educators” pass it on to children, and some become depressed and hopeless, and some become domestic terrorists.
There, I said it: environmentalism is a social ill.”
Focusing on the “environmentalists” is a waste of time as they are pretty much concrete-bound in their world-view. If one wishes to change the perceptions of decision-makers at the margin, they must be wooed not censored. The proponents should try to play-off one municipality against the other. Failing that, they should have done a dog and pony show for the Langham citizens and local politicians. Betting the farm on a single approval process of a higher order of government won’t cut it.
In a near perfect world, property rights should have been the sole determinate but given the ongoing backslide into green theocracy as a prime plank of progressivism, along with the dominant cultural paradigm that government is good and needs to grow, grovelling before local mini-despots, is how we do business in Canada.
I invite all of the frustrated armchair politicians (above) to actually participate in local politics. I did 3 terms and survived the ordeal, although some might say it left me slightly damaged. Kate should abandon her imminent Senate appointment and go for the PMs job.
Kate would get my vote for PM in a heartbeat. She would have years ago. So would EBD for that matter.
“The council vote could – in effect – overrule the Provincial permitting process”
Local government is where the electorate has the greatest decision-making power because their vote suffers the least “dilution effect”. Don’t fall into the Ontario trap where decisions are made by the centralized Toronto-centric provincial government and municipalities are mere puppets to implement the nonsensical rules and regulations spewing from the legislature. If the enviro-idiots are winning, it’s because they’re more vocal and politically active than the common-sense majority who stay silent rather than fight the good fight. There’s your problem. Like in Ontario, if good people don’t get off their ass and shout down the fools, they deserve what they get.
