Basically the same end goal (state control of the means of production), but fascists tend to leave “ownership”, but not control, with the private sector.
There is virtually no difference between communists and fascists. The main difference is simply that communists want the State to own property while fascists allow the illusion of private ownership to exist but the regulate it to such a degree that the property really operates at the pleasure of the State. The modern day NDP is the closest to the fascist model……as is Obama.

However the militarization of police and state agencies and the concept of all citizens needing to be surveilled ( by a large covert/spy /security force) constantly because no one can be trusted, that there is anti-administration espionage everywhere that must be repressed by police/military/administrative force is classic fascist morbid paranoia. The last 3 administrations have melded domestic police into an auxiliary Federal paramilitary force with military weapons and tactics and a mindset that they are a controlling/occupying force is a fascist act.
Waco was an act of state fascism as was Ruby ridge and the raids on various patriot 2nd amendment groups. The arbitrary unconstitutional imposition of the police state in post bombing Boston was a fascist act. Re codifying the function of FEMA as a form of post democracy provisional government is a fascist act. Leaving Americans to be slaughtered by foreign belligerents in Benghazi because if they lived they would be a political embarrassment was a fascist act of state. Covert ATF gun running to Mexican drug cartels then blaming the deaths of Americans in the resultant war on the 2nd amendment was the act of a fascist state (classic false flag espionage). Buying millions of rounds of ammo for domestic security agencies and imposing federal (papers please) pat downs and searches at airports, road blocks and other public events is the act of both fascist statism and communist statism – as is using government agencies to harass political opposition.

The Krupps, Farben, Siemens, et al still owned their enterprises, but were told what to produce, how to produce, and to use forced or coerced labour. The consequences of not toeing the line were not good.
