Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

I don’t know why but I’m killing myself laughing over that clip. Argghhh Billy, sometimes it will get so rough we’ll have to lash you to your bunk. Argghhh!!
What’s in a name? [view clip] 🙂
There was a filly a couple of years ago by the name of “Doremifasolatido”. As she hit the front and went on to win, Tom Durkin started singing her name. Priceless.
The demonstated passion by Mr. Durkin is astounding. I’m not sure I could have taken it so seriously…
Arrrrg, a race horse that would make any pirate proud. Any truth to the rumour that the jockey had a peg leg with a spur on it and parrot crap on his shoulder?
Sounded like Robert Newton as Long John Silver, “Arrgghh, Miss Purity, another noggin of grog … then get out there and run down that feline fellow.”
A few years ago there was a racehorse named “Hoof Hearted.”
Just finished watching the movie “Secretariat”. I’m going to rewatche it and cheer, “AAAAAAAAAAARH”, when the racing scenes are on.
Funny stuff.
The “Secretariat” story is much greater than the movie and the acting….but then…… how do you ever come close to the real and amazing story?
What a truly awesome name!
Assault is passing Battery: Assault and Battery!!
and “Girdle” is in the stretch
and don’t forget to scratch “Harass”!!
“Arghhh”, shiver me timbers!!
Prosit!

There was a fellow called hoof-hearted at Alex Tsakumis’ blog in Vancouver, but I never caught on.
This is hilarious too, and a lot of fun to watch and read the comments afterwards. No politics, no religious angst, no left, or right, just good fun and equine beauty.
I just listened to it again and I’m still laughing. Thanks Kate!!
Banana is coming up through the bunch…
