   Wrong! We are “clamouring” over the comments because they make perfect sense. If the comments had been made by someone with white skin, yellow skin, brown skin or green skin, they would be just as sensible. The sad reality is that, since Freeman is obviously black, his thoughts have more credibility because if the same remarks were made by someone with white skin, people like you would immediately trot out the “R” word and end the discussion.

Davenport @9:37 – so, we’re supposed to be blind to race to the extent that we don’t notice the fact that many members of certain races are not blind to race, and thus when a member of one of the groups*** that is not typically blind to race (not that we noticed) says something that indicates that he, personally, is blind to race, we’re supposed to be blind to it?
   Anyway, I’m way ahead of you; I’m like George Costanza; I never even noticed Morgan Freeman was black.
   ***I don’t just mean black. I mean black American Hollywood type who apparently voted for President Whatsit whose race eludes me because he never mentions it.
