OK, I’m confused. I thought that was what they were supposed to be doing. I’m pretty sure that’s what Bill Clinton had in mind when he was lobbing cruise missiles onto assorted patches of desert and rocky crags in Afghanistan. I know that is pretty much was George Bush was talking about with his “dead or alive” speech. In fact, when the U.S. military blew up Abu Musab al-Zarqawi and the CIA started lobbing Hellfires into Yemen and Waziristan, I thought that was the basic idea. Kill al-Qaeda leaders.
Since the daisy cutter in Tora Bora didn’t leave enough of bin Laden to identify its quite evident that the big Owe is trying to shift focus away from his dismal performance/approval rating.

They knew damn well what they were voting for, they just collectively voted for instant gratification(you know, the Hip hop Inauguration)and to then hope some $change$. In my opinion the Americans have shown themselves to be spoiled brats not having the slightest clue what their votes are worth, or the responsibility that comes along with it. There was more dirt on Obama than a pig would know what to do with, yet they and stuck their fingers in their ears and said “Na Na I can’t hear you” when conservatives were exposing his past.
Analogy: The Americans remind me of the kids from the cell phone commercials that don’t want the “roll-over” minutes they get from their plans.
It should be noted that GWB stopped referring to Bin laden, by name, around the tora-bora campaign time frame. What does that suggest?

If someone is baming Bush, Cheney or Palin for something (it doesn’t matter what it is), disbelieve them immediately and ask what happened to the bodies supposed to be in the assigned burial plots.
So Bill Clinton’s attack that killed the camel and blew up an aspirin factory (coincidentally on the same day Monica Lewinski was being deposed) was supposed to accomplish what exactly?

I always felt that bin Laden bought it at Tora Bora. A few years ago, a private company that does voiceprint analysis analyzed a known bin Laden tape and one of these new ones from Tora Bora Rose, and said no way it was the same guy. Then the CIA “confirmed” that it was bin Laden and they withdrew.
Also, there was a video that purported to show bin Laden, but the only time the mouth matched the audio was when bin Laden spoke words he is known to have spoken before Tora Bora. They claimed the problem was corrupted mpeg compression. What are the odds? I would say about zero.

No serious analyst of the CIA or the way leaks are done thinks for a minute that the CIA had a secret group planning to kill bin laden that only reported to cheney…more will come out, almost certainly that cheney wanted to kill american citizens extra judicially, or at least planned to kill people in other ” friendly” countries without asking 1st.
I’m still in two minds over the question. Was OBL killed in Topra Bora? Quitre possibly, dead anominously in a cave and no survivors to report his death. He could be living in an NHS hospital in London, UK. I just don’t know.
