So allowing a single cartoon to run dispels all the talk of civil liberties being quashed, huh?

Can you imagine the outrage if the president of the NAACP was portrayed as Clinton’s “house nigga'”?
And no, that cartoonist would no longer be published in 140 newspapers.
And yes, if dissent was truly being crushed, and if BusHitler really was a fascist, Mr. Rall and his ilk would find themselves in a cell, labor camp, or worse.
What is so shocking, if not frankly nauseating, is how these “trivialists” as VDH so cogently calls them, still refuse to say whether or not they feel that the creation of consenual government is preferable to the torture, rape, genocide and tyranny, vis a vis the Taliban and Saddam. They must say explicitly whether or not they believe the US should return to the Afghans, the Kurds, and the Shi’a in Iraq their previous terror masters?
Why doesn’t Rall just come clean and say, “Free Saddam!” and “Return the Taliban!”
Of course, that Al Qaeda, Saddam, the Taliban, (add to the list Fatah, Islamic Jihad, Hizbollah, Hamas) would just as soon behead, incinerate, or blow up Mr. Rall, Mr. Kerry, Mr. Crystal, Ms. Goldberg and there families, as they would Mssrs. Bush, Cheney, & Rumsfeld and their families, is somehow always lost on these “useful idiots”.
