  1. Possibly related… and these two events, are certainly related to each other:

    https://nationalpost.com/news/politics/alberta-announces-public-inquiry-into-shadowy-foreign-funding-of-environmental-groups?

    https://calgaryherald.com/news/local-news/corbella-krause-questions-why-trudeau-changed-charity-laws-for-activists?

Near the end of this inquiry, would be a good time for a referendum on Alberta – Saskatchewan staying in Canada.

And a treason trial for the federal members responsible for this.

  2. Just sent this on to everyone in my address book. I hope the legions of SDA readers will do the same.

  3. This needs to become mainstream news for all Canadians to hear in the next few months. I’ve never heard her speak but have heard her interviewed on radio and what I heard angered me and I think would anger a lot of Canadian voters no matter where they live.

  4. One of my favorite movies is ”Oklahoma Crude” starring Faye Dunnaway and George C. Scott.

In the opening credits, you’ll hear ”Send a Little Love my Way” that was sung by our own Anne Murray.

While it was a Hollywood movie, it does show the blood, sweat and tears that early wildcatters had to endure.

  5. This is wonderful.

Stop trying to justify the existence of an energy industry that makes industrial civilization possible. Its necessity is obvious to anybody with any business leaving the house without nurse.

Insist that the bankers of Wall Street (and Bay Street), the surveillance apparatus of Silicon Valley and the propagandists of Hollywood (and Toronto) explain what they do that justifies consuming as much fossil fuel energy as they do.

The answer is obvious: nothing. They are parasites, pure and simple, that a sane world would have been stopped from reaping where they never sowed long ago.

You want a sustainable economy? Don’t add to the pile of government debt. Repudiate every cent. Tell the bankers that the men of the west are done being tax- and debt-peons, and insist on the right of those who earn wealth to enjoy it as they see fit.

Yes, that would be the undoing of the global financial system in its current form. And not a moment too soon.

  6. Another effective version, portray a typical member of Gang Green on protest duty, then remove each item of clothing that is based on fossil fuels, cheap energy or modern technology.
Or a day in the life,if Gang Green got what they wanted,or claim they want.

I would be fascinated if even one of the indoctrinated nitwits realize how dependant they are.

Stupidity of this nature is too dangerous to share space with,Darwin needs to be honoured.
Let us banish them to a utopia free of fossil fuels and carbon..do we surgically remove all carbon from them before or after banishment?
Albertans will get back into the spirit of that add,Patriotic Western Nationalists, cleaning up the largest natural oil spill known to man.
Restoring the Athabasca Sands to their pristine glacial origin.

    1. – and also remove any item of natural clothing that was harvested by machines (forged with coal heat and fuelled and lubricated by oil).

” – But my unmentionables are COTTON!”

“Did you pick, gin, spin and and weave them yourself? Or did some machine do that? – Oh and, industrial pesticide applications – that’s why you’re wearing them, not some boll weevil.”

  7. @ John Robertson: ‘yer stealin’ my thunder!

Who could possibly be against tar sands oil extraction?

I mean think of it, you’re removing oil which would normally leach into the Athabasca River basin, and replacing it with steam cleaned sand? It’s the biggest natural oil spill clean up operation on the planet!! What could possibly be greener for the planet?

Go get ’em Vivian Krause, and godspeed Premier Kenney.

    Cheers

    Army Group “True North”

    1. @Hans.
I didn’t invent it I stole it whole, just putting everyday productive activity through the Green Speak lense.
As part of the open mocking of the idiocracy,we are doing Gods work, cleaning up an unholy mess that for time beyond man has polluted the waters from Alberta to the Arctic Ocean.
Before these clean up projects the spring freshnet used to rip out great chunks of Bitumen saturated sand and send it on its way to the sea.

Meanwhile the Federal Government has imposed a “Fee on pollution” ,not a tax,Taxing our transport and heating fuels as they do absolutely nothing to stop fossil fuels(Coal veins) burning unchecked.
For decades they have claimed these emissions cause CAGW/CC, yet they ignore these fires.
Which were and are their responsibility.
Imagine, if we extinguished those emissions, there would be no reason to punish the citizens for their transport costs.
The accumulated CO2 emissions from these “Natural wonders” probably exceed Canadians contribution to global plant food.

But the choice between stealing from citizens or acting as if there really is a CO2 emission related emergency,…What am I saying?
Of course the Kleptocratic Choice wins.

    1. Ask the CPC. Per the CPC Turning the Corner plan….”When fully mature, by 2020, total costs will be in the range of $XX per Canadian in today’s dollars. This could include price increases for consumer products like vehicles, natural gas, electricity, household appliances and even groceries. We need to be prepared for this extra responsibility if we are going to get the job done.” https://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/national/text-of-speech-by-environment-minister-john-baird/article1074503/

We need CO2 for them to create a Emissions trading scam. No CO2. No scam.

Per Dewar in her book Cloak of Green, the Canadian government funded the green NGOs who did the proselytizing for the government.. And the Captains of Canadian Industry (incl. Alberta Oil Patch) signed on wanting to get in on the scam.

“”Gagnier is senior vice-president of Alcan Inc. and chair of the International Emissions Trading Association.””

      https://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/national/emissions-trading-like-foreign-aid-but-better/article20394772/

      Reap what you sow.

  8. Your still pandering to the loons by trying to cut your carbon foot print.
Since its all phoney baloney. Send the money wasted on that back to investors or your employees.

  9. Those who wish to live without oil or gas or coal may do so but I will not starve, freeze or bake for their personal idiocy. If they, the left impoverish me, I will take whatever they have and that will include anyone and everyone who creates an unliveable circumstance. Oh look, all of the US and Canada are bright red on the weather map because it is summer again. By the way folks 30 c is not very hot. Humidity is not heat and no two people feel the same level of discomfort from humidity.

    1. If Calgary warms by 3 degrees C, the Greens say this will be the end of the planet.

Actually we still wouldn’t be as warm as Denver.

  10. Commercial I’d like to see:

“You can buy oil from Alberta and Saskatchewan, and the money stays in Canada, providing jobs and tax revenue. Or you can buy it from here: (picture cuts to a beheading in Saudi Arabia).”

    1. Agreed. Canadian energy companies need to specifically target Gang Green Hypocrites. What they wear, where they live, how they live. If somebody added up PM PantsOnFire’s air trips…gotta be well over 1000 flights by now.
If you exist you impact your environment. If you declare that your existence is “carbon neutral” you need to be declared insane.

  11. People cannot assume that the anti-oil lobby is only populated by environmentalists who think the end of the world happens by 2030. Gross oversimplification.
    – IMHO the Global warming crowd is a offshoot of the successful environmental movement. Their success demonstrated to many the employment opportunities to those who graduated from environmental sciences programs who had no serious job outlooks. Yes, protest movements in this area is a job magnet. Combine that with almost zero accountability on the monies generated.
    – The economic forces working against Alberta oil are diverse. The famous Koch brothers are the obvious example as their interests in the USA are/were threatened by oilsands development. Add to that those who can profit from weakened AB suppliers. Better pricing and acquisition of depressed assets.
    – Foreign competitors like OPEC and Russia. Known reality that these countries have worked against oil development, especially pipelines, in both Canada and the USA. Every barrel of oil produces in NA is $’s from their pockets.
    – Geopolitical realities: Russia, OPEC and the USA do not want a financially strong Canada. It threatens long established exploitation of cheap Canadian resources. It threatens Arctic ambitions by Russia and the USA. A strong Canada could assert claims in the North. A strong Canada could diversify trade away from the USA and thusly chart a more independent diplomatic future.
    – Internal Canadian exploitation: Westerners realize how the economic basics of the country are structured. The money flows east as it has for 300 years. The success of oil development in the West was a direct threat to eastern dominance of Canada. This threatened the political direction of the country and obviously would have led to a disruption in the flow of money eastward. While many in the West take comfort in labeling Quebec as the main beneficiary the reality is that this is all about Ontario. It might be revealing to find that significant Canadian funds, originating in the east, were sent to the USA to return to Canada via the environmental movement’s effort to shut down AB oil. Would that reality actually resonate in the West enough to start a serious separation movement?

While I hope the Kenney inquiry sheds some light on this issue I hold no hope that this will change the reality. What will break Canada apart will be the next fiscal crisis when a federal government has ran out of credit and starts defaulting on their social promises. Western Canadians are great whiners but weak on action. Western Canadians should be organizing at the municipal and provincial level for what will be an inevitable restructure.

  12. BC won’t allow Alberta oil, but they have no problem shipping the coal from mines in Montana and North Dakota through BC.

“Because Vancouver didn’t get atop the exporting coal heap simply by flogging the megatonnes mined in B.C. and Alberta. Oh no, that wasn’t enough for them. Instead, they’re merrily, if somewhat sheepishly, importing massive amounts of this major carbon-emitting fuel from the United States.
It seems mines in landlocked Montana and Wyoming have similar issues to Alberta in getting their product to overseas markets: they need co-operation from the two neighbouring states that have coastlines.
But the environmental lobby in Oregon and Washington has blocked that route to potential Asian riches, thereby providing a golden opportunity for the Port of Vancouver to step in and offer a suitable export solution, one to be rewarded with sizable moolah.”

  13. File under things you will NEVER:
    see on the CBC
    hear from Scott Moe
    hear from Andrew Scheer
    hear from Jason Kenney
    hear from the CPoC
    hear from the Saskatchewan Party
hear from the United Conservative Party
    hear from the NDP
    hear from Unifor
    hear from SGEU

You MIGHT hear, or have already heard it, from Max, haven’t checked.

Have you heard it from AFL-CIO (American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations)?
Have you heard it from whatever your union happens to be while they lobby to kill your job?
    You still paying dues?

  14. Cheap oil. Who benefits? Ont. and Que charge the same whether they use foreign oil or cheaper domestic oil. Owners or large investors of the refineries on the Gulf of Mexico get all they need and Venezuelan oil is no more. Get the names of the Tides contributors in the news and see if they are going for a name in obstruction. I bet they want to be seen as benefactors not as cheapskates.

  15. “Maybe they mistook our polite, head-down, work ethic for a posture of weakness”

Exactly. This is the SAME mistake that SHE made. Thinking that American’s would rather have an … “experienced”, “most qualified candidate in the history of American Presidential candidates”, First woman President … instead of a “buffoonish reality TV star”.

SHE mistook ALL that motivated HALF of American voters. SHE mistook REALITY. Why? Because SHE lives so far removed from OUR reality, that SHE has no CONCEPT of what matters to the average citizen. Similarly, the psychotic eco-elites have no CLUE what matters to the average citizen. They have mistaken “acceptance” of their “renewable” energy programs as a rejection of fossil fuels. WRONG! The average citizen isn’t nearly that STUPID.

Just wait till the economy takes a downturn … and you will see the average Californian REBELLING against the recent gas tax increases and carbon taxes instituted by a senile gov. Brown before his retirement. Unemployed and underemployed Californians will go apoplectic.

  16. A thought.
We have a federally declared Climate Emergency.
Shall we force the pollies to live as if they believe this nonsense?

Under Environment Canada rules the Oil Sands qualify as a national disaster, what the EPA calls a Superfund clean up site.

Imagine the chaos in Ottawa if Alberta pushes this POV?
All monies spent cleaning up this Natural Oil Spill are tax deductible or even directly refundable as a federal responsibilities.
Pipe lines are now required as necessary to expedite the clean up, again at federal expense. As in removal and safe disposal of the “toxin”.
A nasty cynical Provincial Government could run the Feds ragged with this file,or force the Confederated Kleptocrats to admit the obvious.
    It is a Provincial Affair.
Could you imagine the high school halfwits that man our federal government, having to argue these matters?

That would be almost as much fun as Trudeau Two having to negotiate with a West over Separation.
I hope the Liberals win in October,as the comedy will be glorious and the benefits to the West probably the best we can get.

Justine and friends are the best promoters of An Independent West.

    1. The German power grid crashed on three separate days during June which was so critical, it required neighboring countries to come to its rescue to prevent a total blackout.

The entire European power grid has been exposed as a risk. The cause of the insufficient power supply is not yet fully understood.

The issue in question is the EU demand for the reduction in CO2 and the push toward electric cars. The power grid of Europe will not be able to cope with such a mass convergence.

The shortages in June are a warning that the Global Warming agenda being pushed in Europe really needs to be reconsidered.
