Oh, Shiny Libranos!

National Post;

Still reeling from a conflict of interest controversy that has dominated the government’s agenda this fall, Finance Minister Bill Morneau got some more bad news on Halloween.
Notice of a $200 fine related to Morneau’s villa in France was posted Tuesday to the website of the Office of the Conflict of Interest and Ethics Commissioner.

That’ll teach him.

  1. Oh gawwwwd ! I have always said … and still believe that ALL white collar CRIME needs to be more severely punished. White men (99% of white collar crime perps) who commit white collar crime receive nothing more than hand-slaps for screwing people out of their life’s savings. It’s time to start handing out LONG mandatory Federal (pound you in the ass) Prison sentences. No more counrtry-club Prisons. Put them in the general Prison population. Do the crime … do the time … with all the prisoners. You are not “special” … just because you committed your crime “on paper” and with bank wire transfers. You are still a common THIEF!

  2. $200! You must be joking. But it is Mary Dawson who is the joke. Either Parliament can appoint a Commissioner with some backbone and teeth to punish wildly unethical behaviour, or they should forget the office and save taxpayers considerable money.

  3. Wow that’s a relief.
    Now imagine if he had submitted a receipt for a $16 dollar glass of orange juice or Gerald Butts spotted him the $200 to pay the fine?

  4. The bureaucrats Media whores and other assorted dumbshits that vote Librano will continue to vote Librano no matter what… Look at how the Librano gangsters behave during Question Period, laughing and yukking up like a pack of gangsters that just got away with another one… No Duffy treatment from the corrupt corporate Media whores, no 16 dollar orange juice “outrage” from the Media either… Nope, just business as usual. As that smirking turd on CTV Don Martin says everytime a Librano steps in another ethical Turdo pile… “does this story have legs?”, “Is this story over now?” This country is a corrupt joke… I pray for its demise.

  5. As much as logic dictates that Morneau should be relieved of his duties there is the observation that he is doing a great deal of damage to Juthtins branding…you know the one the liberals have framed their election strategy around….and nothing else.
    Conservatives meet your new best friend.

  6. Think about it!! If you leave your home and drive to 7-11 to pick up a slush, and forget to buckle your seat belt, the fine will be greater than hiding a multi-million dollar mansion in France. ”Hiding from whom??” you ask. Uhh, I think he was hiding it from ”we the people!!”.
    I was curious to see what the place looked like. Scroll down the page and you’ll see that it’s in the small town or Oppede, in the Cotes D’Azure Region of Provence. Mon Dieu!! That’s where zee most expensive real estate in zee world is located!!
