  1. Are conspiracy not illegal? There is irrefutable proof that the major news broadcasters in Canada are conspiring to help to oust the current government in favour of their preferred party. How in the hell could that possibly be legal???

  2. Conspiracy to suppress rights, conflict of interest, and I am sure there is even a case of bribery.
ABC-NBC-CBS-CNN-MSNBC-FOX might as well be renamed Pravda.

  3. Astonishing media corruption… How on Earth can the Trudeau Media get away with this ? Is media collusion to protect and shield their preferred candidate, Trudope, even legal? Obviously it is unethical but colluding to suppress information all in a desperate attempt to shield Justine from his own words? How is this legal ? How can the Trudeau Media thumb it’s collectivist noses at the Supreme Court ruling of 1988, deliberately ignoring the ruling, and I assume knowingly breaking the law. One things for sure, the Media are desperate to shield their candidate Justine from his own words and his many bozo eruptions, attempting to manipulate Canadians and manipulate the coming election, and the Media aren’t even trying to hide their corruption. Just wow!

  4. We are all paying the CBC a billion dollars a year, and they are using that money to collude with their “competitors” to fix the next general election. This goes beyond unethical and into the criminal.

  5. You have them dead to rights Sean…!
Congratulations to Ezra in exposing the blatant corruption of the Media Cartel.
You may now refer to the Media Party as the “Ministry Responsible for Propaganda”. Herr Goebbels would be proud of them.
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the (Media Party) State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the (Media Party) State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the (Media Party) State.”
The greatest enemy to this collusion of vipers is the burnishing sunlight of Ezra’s expose…Information Snakes Incompetently Lying (ISIL).

to supervise the formation of public opinion.”

  7. One advantage of having the CBC government funded. They are subject to freedom of information laws. Would Ezra have had any possibility of showing the truth if the CBC was private? This would have been a all the media companies agree about this law, and no one would know because they are all partisan hacks.
The partisan hacks including the CBC could have conspired in secret. No one would have ever seen those e-mails. Just like what happens with NBC, ABC, CBS, and CNN here on our side of the border.

  8. Send this to your MP even if you live in an opposition held riding then ask them if it would be tolerated in any other industry I.e:gas price fixing.

  9. Is a conspiracy illegal if it is to do something that isn’t illegal? As private companies the broadcasters are entitled to their opinions and to decide to not do business (sell advertising time to) with anyone they want to not do business with and they are free to wish for and work for a different party to win the next election.
It certainly stinks, but I don’t know if there is a law against it. I hope this forces a lot more people to realise what really goes on in the media, but I am sure many will think it’s o.k. because in practise it only operates against the Conservatives and Stephen Harper.

  10. If you reach the age of reason, and you still do not accept “conspiracy” (or more accurately “insider collusion”)as a natural state of human affairs, you are in denial of the historic record.
The greatest turning events in human history are all a matter of elites or insiders conspiring to move an agenda forward. Only those involved in conspiracy deny this is the common course of human events. If we remove the actuality of conspiracy in the course of historic events we are left with the “theory of coincidence” and if we subscribe to this theory we have to believe things like the American revolution or British revolution or French, Chinese or Russian revolutions were all a matter of chance and not planning.
So – if Ezra’s recently discovered (but officially undocumented)collusion to unify media and political resources against the current government, actually works and brings it down, and of course the record of this will be written by the winners so they will omit the fact of collusion, does that make Ezra a “conspiracy nut” if he keeps telling the factual side of these events? Those involved in the conspiracy will deny it and call Levant a “Conspiracy theorist”.

  11. Ezra knocks one out of park here.
Mansbridge comes across as a complete moron but a powerful moron just the same.

  12. Caught red handed, eh? Well well.
Being the jaded creature that I am, I expect nothing will come of this. Not even richly deserved firings in the corner office crowd at the CBC.
However. I must thank Ezra for this bit of sunshine, and for naming the roaches we see scuttling for the wainscotting. It is one thing to cynically assume that the media conspires to foist the likes of Justine Trudeau the Shiny Pony upon the nation. It’s another thing entirely to SEE them doing it.
My observations of Canadian culture when I lived in the United States were that it all seemed very contrived. When I watched Canadian news after not having seen it for a while, I noticed many topics were conspicuous by their absence. Since ALL the news was identical, I assumed they were all in on it.
Now I have proof that they’re all in on it. No more assumptions or indirect evidence, actual proof. Makes me pretty proud of myself that I figured it out right all those years ago. 🙂 yay me!
By the way. How STUPID must these media people be to pick the part-time drama teacher at a time when we have Russia moving nukes to the Crimea and Ebola killing people in Texas? Not to mention a six year economic depression that shows no signs of lifting.

  13. “…I expect nothing will come of this….”
Funny, eh? A guy would almost think that our electorate was shallow, stupid and uncaring about ethics….

  14. As always Ezra was brilliant. Quite extraordinary – the CPC has a year to solve this one. Take to court who u have to – there can be no sitting passively by on this one.

  15. The greatest turning events in human history are all a matter of elites or insiders conspiring to move an agenda forward.
Who were the elites that were responsible for The Black Death? 😉

  16. No matter how outrageous, illegal or unethical, the question remains: does this collusion help or hurt Trudeau or does it have no real effect? Do Canadians see through the collaboration? Do Canadian voters even pay enough attention to the CBC for it to have an impact?
When polled, Americans say that The Media is biased. What do Canadians say in similar polls?
Propaganda must be believed for it to work.

  17. They get away with it because they control the narrative. Only SunNews TV through Ezra is shining a light on this and the sheeple generally don’t care enough to care.

  18. the billion dollars a year that the feds give the CBC allow them to continue to do these illegal, anti-democratic actions. I have repeatedly told my local CPC MP and the CPC party that I will not contribute to them until they stop funding the CBC! this story is just more justification for my position.

  19. Also conspicuous by it’s absence from this “consortium” is the lack of an invitation for SNN to participate.
Just one more piece of evidence.

  20. “Propaganda must be believed for it to work.”
When a media conspiracy exists, on any level, it results in corruption of the political process.
The CNN 2012 leadership debate was orchestrated (false) by Candy Crawly to the disadvantage of Republicans. The Republicans MUST refuse to take part in any CNN political activity. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me
The Political Parties of Canada MUST refuse to partake in CBC political manipulation

  21. Just emailed a suggestion to Ezra that the Sun should crowd source legal fees to examine whether a suit can be brought against the ‘media party’ under the competition act or any other statute.
Even if nothing came of the legal action Ezra could keep this in the news for a while.

  22. Once you get the corporate side of the media party
involved in these shenanigans the equation expands
into areas that involve dollars and cents and how
the Liberal Party intends to “remember its friends.”
    That is:
If and when they achieve formal governing of the
entire country rather than just its bureaucracy as
    things are at present.

  23. Even Warren Kinsella is on Ezra’s side on this one!!!!
    ————————————
Having crafted many, many an ad for the Liberal Party making use of broadcast clips or published reports, I laughed out loud at the professed indignation of Messrs. Cullen and Goodale. Both guys know that party operatives of all stripes have made use of media material in political advertising, for years.

  24. The libertarian view on this might run something like this: The purpose of property rights is to establish the rights of contestable real property. i.e, property that if used by one person cannot be used by another.
Speech, including broadcast video footage is an incontestable good in that one person’s use does not diminish its use by others. Hence there can be no real property rights associated with it.

  25. Who needs a democracy, lets just let the STATE broadcaster choose who’s going to be Prime Minister, eh?

  26. Anyone noticed how Sun News was not approached to be part of the “consortium?” Surprised? No? Me neither. This blogger gives some legal background to the CBC’s censorship nonsense:
    http://excesscopyright.blogspot.ca/2014/10/much-ado-about-copyright-campaigns-and.html
“Whether or not one agrees that these kinds of ads are good or bad, it’s clear that Canadian copyright law already grants lots of scope for what the most avid proponents of these ads could want. And if what is copied is not “substantial” (in a quantitative and qualitative sense in the context), the Copyright Act doesn’t even engage and there is no need for permission or payment. And even if what is copied is substantial, the fair dealing doctrine allows plenty of scope to copy for legitimate fair dealing purposes.”

  27. Post debate (“debate”, ha!) polling showed that Candy Crawly’s bias was recognized by a strong majority of American viewers. Since most Americans, independent of party affiliation, want coverage to be “fair”, it could be argued that Crawly’s efforts backfired.
There will always be factional cooperation amongst media outlets. I see the real dangers as being 1) monopolistic dominance by ideologically narrow private concerns 2)government subsidized media which can’t help but be an extension of government power and authority aligned against the citizen 2) the suppression of media outlets especially if that suppression is through government action or regulation.
    U.S. examples:
    1) national TV news all located in the politically unrepresentative NYC
    2) the blatant distortions of the political process and political climate that are routinely broadcast on PBS and NPR
    3) the regulatory regime known as the “Fairness Doctrine” that allowed the government to evaluate radio broadcast content from 1949 until 1987

  28. I looked for any media coverage of this outside the Sun network. Zero – nada -rien! perhaps I just used the wrong search terms!?6x4zs6
Sun does have a good article by Warren Kinsella – totally supporting Ezra’s position and ridiculing those opposed. Good on Warren!

  29. I think 62% would agree with that observation. And, as one other poster commented: “I looked for any media coverage of this outside the Sun network. Zero – nada -rien!”
If the Media Party don’t report it, it isn’t news. How big is SunNews in Canada? Would anyone (the 62%) even care what SunNews ever said?
If the issue was dealt with as it was in 1988, why did the Cons even tinker with this in their omnibus bill? What exactly are their plans on dealing with what Ezra has revealed, if that was the aim – to draw the media out? Media refuse to run their ads, they sue? Again, only SUN reports it? Can CBC be compelled to run Conservative ads they collude to not run? What measures does the Government of Canada (duly elected) have to force the issue with CBC, a government entity? Probably untouchable.
Someone somewhere else posted that the Media Party would have to become more honest in their reportage by this revelation, but I don’t see that happening. Right now they are even going against their legal team’s advice of not going to copyright as a defense.
Ball’s in Canadian government’s court and they are still not getting their message out. Clock’s ticking.

  30. I watched this again this morning. This is a huge mistake by the Media Party. They have tried to hide their bias, but now it is out in the open. This collusion should be talked about in legal and political science circles for decades to come.

  31. Perhaps the best (or only) way for the current Government of Canada to reach the people is for the Conservatives to buy some live television time for the Prime Minister to address the nation regarding the coming battle against Da’esh and then close by alerting the public to the dangers posed to freedom by groups such as Da’esh and the MPC (media party consortium).Without knowing the content in advance, it would be pretty hard for these co-conspirators to hide their suppression of freedom of thought from the public.
