Those Moderate Muslims!

SunNews;

At least four Canadian MPs and possibly some senators appear to have been forced to huddle in a bomb shelter in Jerusalem Tuesday after Israeli Defence Forces sounded the alarm because of fears Hamas terrorists would send rockets into the capital.
B.C. Conservative Bob Zimmer, B.C. New Democrat Jasbir Sandhu, Manitoba Conservative Ted Falk and Newfoundland and Labrador Liberal Yvonne Jones were in Israel as guests of the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA). It wasn’t immediately clear which Canadian senators were on the trip.

  1. Well we know there would be no Liberal Senators there,Justin fired them all from the party.

  2. One wonders when the Israelis go over and justifiably kick the snot out of the Rocket firing terrorists, if the libs and dippers will be whining about disproportionate responses this time

  3. If the Isrealis had been smart, they would have kicked them out of the bomb shelter and told them to go see what it was like in the streets everyday. Oh wait. That might have exposed these politcal a@@holes to reality. Can’t have that.

  4. “One wonders when the Israelis go over and justifiably kick the snot out of the Rocket firing terrorists, if the libs and dippers will be whining about disproportionate responses this time.”
Probably, the mediocracy is only showing the damage to the Palestinian areas. Sanitized news for progressive guilt/privilege.
BTW, there is no such military doctrine as proportionality; you crush your enemy – they can surrender or die.

  5. will obumbles try to choke Israel’s supply lines?
and that dipper, Falk, is Jewish, so maybe he will edumacate mad tommy, or not

  6. opps, Falk is a con, so maybe he will throttle angery tommy and inform him of what is going on

  7. I did some project work in Israel back in the late 90’s. First thing we did when we got settled into our a Project partner’s building was to get briefed on access to the building shelter.
The access was by a large metal door with multiple handle locks like on a Navy ship. The door seal was lined with lubricated silicone seals.
    In case of gas attack.

  8. The lesson really gets driven home, when they are issued flak jackets and helmets to tour the Gaza strip…under fire.

  9. “…protecting them was a wasted chance at educating them…”
    HEEEEEE, Heeeeeee, heeeeeeeeee……….
    Thumps up.

  10. This is really, really cool.
Some freeloaders getting good the taste of real life.
Could not happen to more appropriate crowd.
Israelis know what to do. They don’t talk shit.
You wanna make trouble? You’re not taking chances, you are certifiable idiot.
If only they treated the low life like that in rest of the civilized orld.

  11. Obama Has Been Great for Israel
Anyone who tells you otherwise is distorting reality.
As the Defense Department official with primary responsibility for enhancing Israel’s defense capabilities and deepening joint military cooperation with the United States from 2009 to 2011, I can attest to a different reality: No president in history has done more for Israel’s security than Obama.
The case for Obama’s Israel policy begins with record-high levels of Foreign Military Financing (FMF). The Obama administration has increased security assistance to Israel every single year since the president took office, providing nearly $10 billion in aid — covering roughly a fifth of Israel’s defense budget — over the past three years. To put this in perspective, this is about 20 percent higher than the remaining six dozen recipients of U.S. FMF combined. Historic aid levels have been complemented by other steps to ensure Israel’s unrivaled military advantage in the region, including high-level consultation with Israeli officials on U.S. arms sales to the region, operational cooperation to improve Israel’s conventional military and counterterrorism capabilities, and providing Israel with advanced technology, such as the fifth-generation stealth Joint Strike Fighter, to which no other state in the Middle East has access.

  12. I would have headed for the bomb shelter and closed the door before the NDP MP could have got in. He can go hang out with the Muslims.

  13. You can rest assured that the NDP and Liberal on their return will argue that Israel was somehow responsible. The standard line when nothing else comes to mind is that Israel used “excessive force”.

  14. Yes, always follow the money…the path is often different than the rhetoric.

  15. Fred….SOP in Israel re the shelters….
Atheists are a rare thing in foxholes especially after the “incoming” arrives.
I recall seeing something different in the road and stopped…flagged down a passing IDF vehicle….got hustled away to a safe distance…they stopped all traffic and set it off with rifle fire….an already dispatched dump truck(a tandem))almost filled the hole. The road was patched promptly with hot mix….otherwise no-one would drive over it.
Nobody got excited….the IDF was suspicious because there was no raghead traffic…..

  16. Just now I was watching Paul Hellyer’s address remarking about UFO’s, aliens and world government.
He blathered about a universal virtue…the golden rule….
    Nice thought but total rubbish.
The main reason for this nonsense about “moderate muslims” is simple projection.
There is NO mention or adherence to the golden rule in Islam….nor even lip service to the TEN COMMANDMENTs….zip, none, nada….they ain’t quakers…..

  17. I don’t know about the others, but the Yvonne Jones is capable of that (and much else). Her
unhinged attacks on Kathy Dunderdale in the NL House of Assembly most unfortunately weakened
Dunderdale (a good if not spectacular politician and administrator, who was excellent as the de facto chief of staff for
the charismatic Danny) and then scuttled off like a frightened rat to set up shop in Labrador.
She deserves to catch some shrapnel.

  18. Proportionality is nonsense, for sure. Field Marshal Slim, one of the most successful English commanders ever:”Hit the other
fellow as quick as you canm as hard as you can, where it hurts him most, when he ain’t looking.” Taught to him as a
young officer by an old and experienced sergeant-major.
