  3. Yes; a relatively balanced straightforward account of the present lamentable situation in the USA reads like satire.

    I think the definition that could more accurately be applied in this instance would be the word “tragedy”.

    the report is up to date and accurate.
    it is just that it is usually written by an American “journalist” that thinks of other places, including Canada as vastly inferior.
    That may have been true at the end of twentieth century however the Americans, without ever noticing have got past that under the fuhrer of today.
