  1. I would love to see this horse run in North America. Does anyone know its 2012 racing schedule or if its owners have plans to race here?

  2. Syd B. – The main objective since last fall has been to race at Royal Ascot in June although they haven’t ruled out the Golden Shaheen ($2 million) at Dubai in March. However, that race is on a synthetic track while all her races so far have been on turf. Although turf horses usually do adapt well to synthetics. No plans beyond Ascot. I suspect she would be retired after Ascot – she is 5 years old and if she remains undefeated she will have broken Zenyatta’s record.
Unlikely she’ll race in NA. Consider this: All of her races so far have been 6 furlongs or less. The Breeders’ Cup this year is at Santa Anita which means she would have to race on the quirky 6 1/2 turf course. Or prove herself at a mile. Or run on the dirt.

  3. BRAVA! and tears: a creature of such beauty, strength, and courage, doing just what she’s meant to do.
    (Is that allowed anymore?)

  4. TimR, thank you for the informative response. Black Caviar is a wonderful looking horse. Wouldn’t it be great to take the best of several eras, including Northern Dancer and Secretariat and put them on the track at one time. I woundn’t want to be the odds maker.
