Now is the time at SDA when we juxtapose!
Steve, August 29th – Hi Kate, Since you’ve never experienced any time in academia and likely never will (online MENSA tests don’t have much weight with entrance requirements people), I don’t think your position on these matters is informed in any. As such, you may as well not post about it. There’s really only so much air brush artists can offer to issues of higher intellect.
National Post, August 29th – The University of Manitoba said it is reviewing its policy on how to accommodate students with disabilities despite winning a victory in court this week over a controversial decision to grant a PhD to a student who failed his courses due to “extreme exam anxiety.”

Daniel Ream: the link posted from Penolope’s site was the sceond one in her series. In the first, she states that unless one has plans for going into the science and engineering fields, graduate degrees are not what they are cracked up to be. She agrees with you – note she stated she went out and took courses in the technology field – she is saying you can’t learn everything on the job and if you choose the education route, pick a field that you really do need a degree in.
Question:
Think Steve will ever return? Or will he be licking his bruised testicles in perpetuity?
