  6. High speed rail again! I recall
    living in eastern Ontario at the time, in the late sixties the turbo-train was the big deal operating for a short period of time. Lots of problems. Failed in the end for a myriad of reasons. More election posturing!

    1. There were a lot of technical problems with the turbo train. I remember seeing a TV news report about it having caught fire. The silly thing never worked properly and was soon retired.

    2. I used to ride that “thing”, Tronna/Moan Real. The running gear would freeze up in winter. But hey, we’ve got Globble Warmenting ™ now and we’re going net zero on hydrocarbons. Everything will be electrified, no natural gas, oil, or diesel to cause problems.
