    From where I sit – but not while I’m peeing, unless its in the middle of the night – this seems more like an insult to women, than men.

    1. Watched it earlier – certainly wouldn’t say “This couldn’t happen” or “That wouldn’t happen”, ’cause the memsahib & I don’t trust any of the pricks who are manipulating society into the toilet.

  6. It was over when we disbanded our paratroopers for being scary individuals.. As they should be, but that’s another story.. Obviously, no real wars will ever be fought again.. All the big powers are all in bed together..

    So.. If you plan on signing up.. Understand that if you die it will be for no reason.. Side show Jihadists, commies and such.. Fighting over sand and goat scht so we can do out part?..

    Remember you are only as good as your enemy.. Its the main reason why war is just no fun anymore :)..

      Agreed. Chretien was a complete disgrace when it came to his handling of any and all military matters. I also think that many Liberals (and NDP supporters too) would happily disband our entire military if given the chance.

      1. The only uses that progressives have for their militaries is to have someone open doors and get refreshments for them and to enforce their will onto the populace.

    2. They were disbanded because they tortured an killed a prisoner. This was after several incidents of disciplinary problems by a group within the Airborne that were fans of a certain political ideology and that thought they were above the rules and the law. Threatening superiors, for example, verbally and physically. A carrying out these threats. Having units of scary soldiers is all good and well, but when you lose control of them… not so much.

      1. “Threatening superiors” my frozen a$$. Superiors are supposed to lead. If they can’t lead a bunch of wild-asses then they should leave and let someone who is a true superior and leader take the position. True superiors know how to lead and not just how to say the correct words. SHEESH!!!!

        1. Exactly. The failure of leadership was noted and a bunch of people were sacked and others court-martialed. One comitted suicide. There is a matter of leadership, which is the Army’s business, and there is a matter of criminality, which is justice’s business. I think there was a failure of both.

        2. The Airborne Regiment was out of control in the late 1980s and early 1990s, especially 2Cdo, and had been for a long time. Sadly, by time they changed the leadership and got it back under control, it was too late.

  7. Many years ago on a CeeBeeCee program of some sort, a guy said that the Canadian army could not control a Grey Cup riot. For those that want to get upset, he, of course, was joking.
    Now you can say that they could lose to the Canadian women’ soccer team. They may even shower in the same rooms.

  8. I’ve often thought, why in hell don’t the Russians and Chinese attack us now, but have come to the conclusion that in their view, we’ll collapse from within so there’s no need to start a shootin’ war.

    We can’t field a battalion, don’t have any ships with sufficient crews, our submarine fleet is non-operational, a retired RCAF friend said we’d be lucky if we could get 20 F-18’s into the air in a real war, and all operating tanks were sent to Ukraine, so yeah, I’d say our military is in sad shape.

    Maybe now we can recruit lots of LGBTQS2 and trans types to fill the gaps. Diversity is a strength, unless you’re talking about military strength.

    2. I honestly think that when it comes right down to it, the USA will roll North to defend its own interests about one nanosecond after either China or Russia makes a move.

      Once again, why are we out West still part of this burning garbage train wreck?

    3. The tanks that were promised to Ukraine are sitting at a contractors yard in New Brunswick getting upgraded to use current ammo and tech. I was out there in August and got a couple pictures. They’re 2 miles away from my sister-in-law’s place. I sincerely doubt that they will ever leave Canadian soil because we don’t have the capability to transport them anywhere and there’s not enough of them to make it worth Ukraine’s time and money to spring for it. Notice that no one mentioned who was going to transport them and no one bothered asking?

  11. Anybody reading DND’s weekly rag knew this was coming. Incessant talk about feminism, LGBTQ, racism and culture change. They got those menstruating kits very quickly, probably the only thing DND can procure in a jiffy, when you rememeber it took them 10 years to procure a pistol. Shows you where DND’s priorities are. But have no fear, if it’s like any government supplied item, it will be of the lowest quality and price. Hey, just look at government toilet paper.

  12. I’m not Canadian. But, I know what I’d do in a situation like this. I’d take advantage of the Canadian Govt. Fraud and Waste reporting system and get about 500,000 of my “friends” to do the same thing.

    1. V, on one hand I agree. On the other, I think it’s great. The quicker this shithole hits bottom, the quicker something will be done about it.
