Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Fascism certainly has socialist roots. That conclusion is impossible to avoid when reading Mussolini’s biography. But ultimately Mussolini came to believe in corporatism (which has nothing to do with today’s idea of a business corporation), where the economy is divided into professional factions under state direction, but not necessarily state ownership.
Hitler didn’t appear obsessed with economic systems. He was good with either private or state ownership provided everyone danced to his tune.
The critical point is that both believed in statism and command economies. Everything within the state, nothing outside the state, nothing against the state. Economic freedom (or any freedom for that matter) was dead as disco.
Franklin Roosevelt played with similar ideas during the Great Depression, but his policies were struck down by the Supreme Court.
“The socialist roots of Fascism” is well written and spot on. Should be shared liberally.
The one thing I would add is that Hitler saw through “international socialism” as old fashioned, run of the mill (Russian) imperialism and sought socialism on a national basis for his own imperial ambitions. Thus the name of his party.
‘The Socialist Roots of Fascism’
Yeah, the difference is only a few degrees.
Both want to dicktate (sic) how should one live. if you won’t accept, you are either, dismissed, cancelled or killed.
Both will falsely justify to the end of the earth that it is necessary.
The socialism is 99% supported by the ‘academia’, but of course, its their very source of wealth, there is nothing else. And as of recent times, by the mass media cartel since they are loosing audience, while they don’t want to admit it, it is because they produce mostly lies.
Yeah, socialism and fascism are in fact so close that to spot the difference is rather difficult.
It is the preference of free people to ignore it to their peril.
You can argue the point that socialism is the flower of fascism.
Not mentioned is Mussolini was the leader of the Italian Socialist Party until
1914. He was even buddies with Lenin.
