I knew one day that rocket launches would become common place. It won’t be until we reach for Mars that people sit up and notice again – or attempt to colonize the moon.
What I find most convenient is that I can watch this all without waking up at 5am … sleepy eyed in my pajamas … as my dad and mom excitedly talked about showing them Russkies a thing or two! No Chet Huntley or David Brinkley ‘analyzing the launch for me. Nope. Now I’ve got the geek squad to do the play by play!
Who imagined this future!? With everyone staring at their Dick Tracey watches? Oh! I guess we all did.
