  1. So sweat lodges, healing circles, sweet grass ceremonies and stories of spirit animals are not an effective rehab strategy? Who knew?

  2. How about no new money until you come up with a plan on how to keep the kids from getting this stuff. Stop focusing on the tail end of the consequences and start focusing on the actual problem. Here are some suggestions:

    1. Native Dealers are expelled from the reserve and are cut off from the tribe. You’re poisoning your own people.
    2. Off reserve dealers are banned. If they venture onto the reserve they’ll be detained until the cops feel like coming around to pick them up. If there’s anything that can be legally confiscated that should happen to.
    3. Drug prevention training starting in JK. Tell the kids that stuff is not “part of their cultural heritage” or something. Model it on the anti-smoking campaigns from the 80’s.

The best way to treat addiction is prevention. We’ve known this for over 200 years. Why do we make such an effort to forget the important parts of our past?

    1. It’s not within their ability or knowledge to do so. And a non-zero part of it is from Huffing, which has been a problem for decades.

  3. Why on Earth would any civilized society spend energy, time, and money on a people whose collective IQ is among the lowest in the entire world. There is nothing you can do for them. It is scientifically impossible.

  4. Here’s an idea,,,
Quit throwing the money at consultants and social activist industries, who use the money to perpetuate the problems.
Otherwise, there is no real solution to the problems.
We live in a fallen world, and we all must work out our own salvation.
    Ever thus.
    Be kind as able.
Have a nice day and laugh at my naivete if you must. I am immune.
CS Lewis called it. We are bent, but not beyond mercy and grace.

  5. Any money that is dedicated to First Nations creates a cottage industry of grifter, lawyers and leftists. It is absorbed in that group of shysters and little actually gets to where it was “intended” to go. Kind of like foreign assistance money that evaporates into corrupt countries.

    1. wouldnt it be an interesting image if that cash suddenly had a source of illumination, and you get all the grifters in a huge concert hall, milling about, the big recipients clustered, then let the bills float out into the air, from a representation of the source, in kinda slow motion but accelerating thus symbolizing how the corruption spreads, and just watch the dazzling light show and see in what pockets most of it ends up.
that wd be a great special effect for the right kind of worthwhile modern avant guard film. (l find it quirky we say ‘film’ when its digital at some point. maybe everywhere now?)

  6. How fortuitous of your government to already have appropriated nearly $250 Million on empty “mass graves.” You can never be too prepared.
