  1. The new Socialist library is architectural GENIUS! The building suggests a stack of books on an end table. Pure genius! What Starchitect’s brilliant mind came up with THAT cliche’?

    1. Yes but as PJW correctly pointed out in the video, these were worn at the beach and swimming pool. Not out and about everywhere else. PJW presented Sean Connery in those exact same swim trunks in a different photo.

  2. The Taliban forces shocking women to ensure they’re dressed properly is in the women’s best interests.
The alternative – showing a bit of skin – will get them raped. Probably gang raped.

  3. I think that the building pictured was one of the proposals for the Vancouver Art Gallery. The pick up sticks design wasn’t even popular with Vancouverites, a very low bar indeed. The new library was built in 1995, from a design by architect Moshe Safdie.

    1. Ohhhhhhh mommaaaaaaaa … “a big open shower”

Dear Debbie; I entered HS in 1970, and graduated in 1974. Our boys locker room had one big OPEN shower, where we were expected (required) to shower after PE class before returning to class. Open shower as in “columns” of showers wherein 4 boys would assemble around a shower column, each with their own shower head … and look directly at each others pennnnises.

Nobody went all gay and whatnot. And when someone insulted your junk, you simply reminded them that you are a “grower, not a show-er” … or you whipped cracked them with a wet towel in their nutsac – and THAT hurt. It was actually a polite, meh. environment. The freshmen were a little apprehensive … but soon got over it, and got on with it. You were actually more of a queer if you were bothered by your, and others nudity.

I’m going on record by saying that was a much healthier environment than the one we live in now.
