Telegraph- Niagara Falls ‘at breaking point’ after surge in migrants

The lobby of the Wyndham Garden Tower Hotel in Niagara Falls at 8am is busy with chatter in all manner of languages. The chatter is not from tourists heading out to admire the mist-covered waterfalls, however, but from children who are living at the hotel after arriving from Africa with parents seeking asylum. Minutes later they are gone, climbing into two yellow buses to take them to school. The scene plays out in 11 nearby hotels each morning.

  2. So how exactly are these “refugees” walking to canada to claim asylum?

What organization is flying them from safe third countries in order to allow them to claim asylum here?

  3. I went to the Wyndham Garden Tower Hotel in Niagara Falls website to see what the rates are. I was a little surprised, but maybe I wasn’t.

$99 per night Canadian—– $72 per night American

This is a touristy area with the Falls as the centerpiece. You would think the rates would be much higher. I haven’t seen $72 room rates since the 1980’s….especially somewhere that isn’t called East Bumf*ck. This suggests that the hotel chain has agreed to a deal with your government (likely much higher than what is advertised to the everyday consumer) and the hotel realizes they are going to get a lot of complaints from someone showing up on vacation or a honeymoon…so they tanked the prices in concession. And, a company like Wyndham is only going to do that if the federal govt. makes it worth their while.

    1. The Falls is a dump. Has been for 10 years at least. Housing refugee overflow from Toronto I’m sure isn’t helping. Can you imagine the schools? And the hospital? Oh yeah, baby.

To be fair, the NY side is a dump too.

NY generally is a dump. I always use to laugh when I crossed from NY into Connecticut, and -everything- improved 50% or more. The roads, the signs, the houses, the cars… All of it was nicer and better kept. Like flicking a switch.

          1. I visited Niagara Falls in the early 70s and thought it was a dump then.
The falls are cool, but Madame Tousseault’s wax museum and sundry other tourist shite was stupid.
Now, I guess, it is a wog museum.

      1. “I always use to laugh when I crossed from NY into Connecticut, ”

Amen to that. Connecticut may be a Limousine Liberal shithole but compared to NY it is still an improvement.

  4. I stayed at hotel hosting migrants. Kids playing with the elevators, diversity in the lobby. The hotel was slowly getting trashed. It’s not easy spending a couple of weeks in a hotel with kids. Imagine spending months with undisciplined bored kids with parents that have different concept of hygiene acceptable behaviour in the first place. I’m guessing the hotel chain is making enough money off gubmint contract to get the building revamped after the migrants trash it.

  5. It tells us EVERYTHING that this is not being reported in a Canadian paper

    The Canadian Shield in action

  6. Sigh, they been hiding this story until voting day for a reason? We won’t vote for them so they import those who will vote for liberals, part of me hopes Carney wins because his voters are going to get hit hard financially. They own cottages and will get hit with capital gains, they have grandchildren that can never buy a home or a new care like I said liberal voters will become the low class in a short period of time.

  7. What a total shit show. I’d boot them all out, and be willing to kick in to cover the costs!

  8. Who is paying for the hotel rooms because it isn’t the immigrants. Oh, us? Crap.

    1. Oh, and there are many old motels across the country that have been converted to house the unhoused, the druggies, etc. I have seen it from BC to Ontario on a road trip when I foolishly thought it would be nostalgic to “motel it” across our vast country.

  9. Import turd world, become turd world. No exceptions. Everyone around them suffers.

  10. Obligatory jabs at Trump in the article, but it doesn’t actually state that these illegal aliens fled the US, it just implies that. “Journalists” are scum.
