Mark Wauck- Poland About To Learn The Hard Way
Poland has spent 30 years building its foreign policy around a strong US alliance. Yesterday, that foundation cracked. Andrzej Duda flew across the Atlantic for a planned hour-long meeting with Trump. He got ten minutes.

This is one of the most asinine articles I’ve read.
Poland is exactly what Trump has been asking for; a European country prepared to take responsibility for its own security. It spends 3.1% of its GDP on the military, well over the NATO minimum limit. It has one of the strongest militaries in Europe.
So Wauck mocks Poland for being a loyal ally of the U.S., and throws in a dollop of anti-Zionism for good measure, as is his custom.
Poland is currently spending 4.12% of GDP on NATO military… and 51% of that on equipment, somewhat higher than tier 2 Canada’s 18%
It may be a personal issue between Trump and Duda, who is not as right nor populist as his predecessor, he seemed to get along well with the previous Polish “Law and Justice” admin. of PM Morawiecki whom he asked to attend his inauguration 20. January 2025
https://polanddaily24.com/trump-invites-morawiecki-to-washington-for-inauguration-ceremony/global-politics/49299
https://www.nato.int/nato_static_fl2014/assets/pdf/2024/6/pdf/240617-def-exp-2024-en.pdf
A quick internet search brings up 3.1%, 3.8%, 4.7%, and your 4.1%. I’m so confused.
Given that your number comes from NATO, I guess I’ll go with that.
The numbers are growing because new purchases are being announced. The numbers are dropping because Polish economy is growing in the meantime. The plan is to keep military expenditure at above 4% of GDP in the long run and possibly above 5% in the immediate future. When your neighbor is a drunk pathologically aggressive ape with a straight razor and delusions of humanity you got no other choice until the ape devours itself.
Why are the Poles stealing money intended for the poor freezing Ukrainians? Lousy Polock bastards! https://anti-fraud.ec.europa.eu/media-corner/news/olaf-completes-investigation-suspected-serious-irregularities-eu-funded-procurement-power-generators-2025-02-18_en
Duda and Morawiecki are both from Law and Justice. You are confusing the change of government from Law and Justice to Civic Platform coalition, and thus PM from Morawiecki to Tusk with the change of President that hasn’t happened yet, but will happen soon. Yes, Poland has both the President and PM, it is a mix of French and UK political system that is very stable but carries a lot of checks and balances. Currently, for example, the president is in opposition to the government and both accuse one another of being in league with russians and yet are managing (somewhat) to find a common platform on international stage.
The writer lost me early on at: “the Anglo-Zionist war on Russia.”
Who knew it was the Jews after all.
Those damned Anglo-Zionists, and their complicated shoes!
Next thing ya know, this site will be posting “All Wars are Banker’s Wars”, or “The Protocols of Zion.”
Spent some time inPoland last fall and wondered – whats with all the Heinrich Himmler haircuts!
Ukrainian draft dodgers.
“Spent some time inPoland last fall …”
Please don’t do it again.
I will always be drawn back by the “Osobaya Krakovskaya” https://www.arvindguptatoys.com/arvindgupta/29r.pdf
^^^^ another proof why orks should not try to be witty.
Poland is the geopolitical version of that one friend/acquaintance we all have who can’t fight their way out of a wet paper bag, but after a couple drinks and when their big friends are around, they’re the lippiest piece of shit at the party that inevitably gets their ass handed to them before they learn their role.
I don’t see Poland like that at all. More than any other country, it was Poland that brought down the iron curtain. And it remembers its history well enough to know that whatever freedoms and autonomy it has today are a snap away from disappearing.
The Yanks helped a wee bit.

Poland lasted about as long in WW2 after being attacked on two fronts by Germany and Russia and after being abandoned by England/France who had promised to help, as France did fighting on one front with the help of hundreds of thousands of British troops.
If you want to go farther back, you can thank the Polish Hussars for the fact a lot more of Europe does not have a history of Muslim occupation.
Aye. And a Polish Armoured division fought as part of Canadian 1st Army in France in 1944. That division closed the Falaise pocket from the north and at great cost resisted fierce counterattacks by SS and Werhrmacht units.
And the Polish squadrons in the Battle of Britain, who showed the RAF how to stop poncing about flying in formation, and engage the enemy. Back in the day when the invading fokkers were Messerschmitts.
Ok this is isn’t entirely correct. RAF knew well how to be aggressive they just didn’t initially realize that they had two veteran squadrons of bipedal attack dogs with multiple aces that did not need any training. The famous scene in Battle of Britain is an exageration.
Once RAF realized the potential of the Polish units. The Poles got unleashed and those pilots proved their worth. By the end of the war Polish units fighting with RAF included, one Lancaster squadron, one special operations squadron on Halifax and Liberators, one Costal Command squadron on Wellingtons, two Mosquito squadrons (one bomber one night fighter), one army cooperation squadron and a total of eight fighter and fighter reconnaissance squadrons flying latest marks of Spitfire and Mustang.
Thor:
You may want to check out the siege of Vienna in 1683 when it was the Poles who may have saved Europe from the Muslims.

Only the largest cavalry charge in history, within minutes changed the future of the world.
All the countries of Europe should have been spending the last 50 years preparing for the day the US quits protecting them. Instead, they wasted those years getting used to being infantilized, subservient, entitled, and self-absorbed. It’s going to be a real shock.
Since they seem to be reverting to authoritarian elite control of their governments , with endless propaganda and censorship of their own people and everyone else they can bully, which accelerates the US pullout. If they aren’t going to uphold the true values of representative democracy, there is no reason the US should pretend we have common values.
Poland didn’t. They have built up their military significantly, as befits a country on the eastern edge of NATO.
What a crock.
The USA, with its Marshal Plan, turned western Europe into the welfare/vassal states that they are today.
Eastern Europe, by dint of being behind the Iron Curtain, while suffering tremendously under the yoke of the Soviets, was at least spared that ignominy.
What stopped the countries of Western Europe from climbing out of the pram for the last 76 years?
Same thing that stops the blacks in the USA.
Now that Trump is (hopefully) gonna end US welfare to western Europe, they can start at being independent nations again.
LJ
USAID graft did that.
One more time:
In 2025, the only natural border to the Russian sphere of influence is the Atlantic Ocean. Trump has nothing to gain and much to lose from trying to stop the various bands of bumpkins who claim to be great nations—because they have their own jabber and ways of preparing the rotgut brandy they use to drink themselves into early graves—finally pay the price for murdering the Jews responsible for what few real achievements their backwater provinces ever had.
Trump knows, or should know, that in the glory days of the United States before 1913, Poland was a Russian province. What did that matter to Americans then? What does it matter now?
The Poles have spent the last 100 years digging their own grave. The Jews they tried to murder will attend the funeral. Then, maybe, the ghosts of the Six Million will be able to rest in peace.
You yet again are proving so eloquently why russia has no right to exists. Same goes for russian supporters btw.
When your in the arena with a bunch of people all trying to be top dog its kind of silly to look for support from someone on the outside looking in.
When the cuban communist mayor of LA said that victims could remove “hazardous” waste in about a week, Trump said: “No, right now a week is a long time.
Obviously the shrunken time allotted the Polish leader is because an hour is a really long time.
Dunno if an empire in a precipitous decline can rise again but I’m really enjoying Trumpian entertainment.
Even 10 minutes is too long.
There are only so many ways to tell the Poles where to go and what unnatural acts they should perform for Adolf Hitler and Karol Wojtyla when they get there. It’s hard to imagine how many Trump would need.
POHLACK land is lucky Putin hasn’t hazel nutted Gdansk, one of the Ukes sea ports. As NO one has a defense against that critter.
Trump was running late and their meeting, for which a lot of preparation had evidently been made, had to be cut short for Trump’s scheduled speech at CPAC. During which the Polish President was welcomed twice, once as a friend with a standup call at 30 seconds in; and as a “fantastic man and a great friend of mine” at 8:20.
. . . reaffirmed our close alliance.

“Trump was running late and their meeting, for which a lot of preparation had evidently been made, had to be cut short for Trump’s scheduled speech at CPAC.”
So, in other words, both his earlier engagements and his CPAC speech were considered to be more important than the Polish President. Got it.
I don’t think anyone would reasonably expect Trump to delay his victory speech. I’ll hazzard a guess that you don’t know any better than I why Trump was delayed. Maybe the Beast picked up a slow puncture at Daytona.
It’s also worth remembering that Duda being at CPAC was a special invite for favoured conservative foreign supporters; e.g. Nigel Farage got a shout out; the leader of Britain’s Conservative party wasn’t even there.
“I’ll hazzard a guess that you don’t know any better than I why Trump was delayed”
No. I know only that whatever it was, it was deemed more important than the meeting with the Polish President (as I already said).
” Maybe the Beast picked up a slow puncture at Daytona. ”
Even for you, that’s a stretch…and not just because The Beast has run-flat tires or because he has access to countless other means of transportation (including helicopters).
You’re trying too hard.
– You’re trying too hard.
That you couldn’t spot an obvious joke indicates that it is you who struggles.
I offered some facts; you offered some speculation. Situation normal.
“– You’re trying too hard.
That you couldn’t spot an obvious joke indicates that it is you who struggles.”
You attempted to weasel your way out of admitting you were wrong by offering up a lame joke as a distraction. It didn’t work. Again: you’re trying too hard.
“I offered some facts; you offered some speculation. Situation normal.”
You offered nothing but ‘spin’ in a futile attempt to downplay Trump’s snub of the Polish president.
So do you believe the WhiteHouse and the President were offering nothing but spin in a futile attempt to downplay his snub of the Polish president?
Wauck is someone you have to take with a pretty big grain of salt. He’s pretty clear eyed about Russia / Ukraine, and he’s got no love for the American neocons, but he sees Zionists and Jews everywhere, and almost froths at the mouth when he rants about the supposed Israeli genocide of the Gazans.
I don’t know what he might have had to say about that truly ghoulish spectacle that Hamas staged with the bodies of those children. I’d not be surprised if he swept it under his moral rug, because it would force him to confront some very ugly truths about his precious Gazans.
He’s pretty clear eyed about Russia / Ukraine . . . . . . but he sees Zionists and Jews everywhere . . .
Kahane Tzedek hardest hit.
“He’s pretty clear eyed about Russia / Ukraine, and he’s got no love for the American neocons, but he sees Zionists and Jews everywhere, and almost froths at the mouth when he rants about the supposed Israeli genocide of the Gazans.”
It is not a but it is an end. Only in SDA bubble it is a but.
Really? A plot by “Anglo-Zionists”? Julius Streicher is calling from Hell to sue this guy for plagiarism.
And the bar for the most asinine article on SDA keep getting lower. Utter complete lack of understanding of both Polish past and Polish current situation. Posting it says a lot about where you perceive Polish place though.
Wait, so all the geopolo strategists who were explaining that Pootin does not want to escalate beyond Ukraine were wrong or were they full of $hit to begin with?
You spelt “and” wrong and should’ve put the “were” after the “they”.
Fair point.
One more reflection. Do I take it that Trump’s peace plan, where Europeans were supposed to guard the demilitarized zone in Ukraine is dead and buried?
I believe Darth Putin has altered the deal on that one.
Too early to tell, I don’t forecast success to those negotiations from the start. Besides, any peace would be brief and probably would not last until the end of Trump’s term.
– Too early to tell . . .
We do know the Russians have already said it is unacceptable.
https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/russia-rejects-idea-nato-peacekeepers-ukraine-warning-uncontrollable-escalation-2025-01-23/
I certainly don’t want British troops in there guarding Russia’s occupation against pissed-off Ukrainians. They’d be a target for both sides. Ludicrous idea. No wonder Kier Starmer likes it.
I would be much less worry about Ukrainians than about orks constantly sabotaging and taking shots at the civilized troops on the frontier. Russian beast cannot be coexisted with without a boot on its neck.
But that is a likely out for Trump… he may as well say “we tried to give russia everything but russia cannot be reasoned with, and we got the mineral concessions from Ukraine that we wanted. ” That is just one potential scenario. We will see.
On the positive note, at least this time it is the Jooooos not the Davos/WEF/Globohomo/Bilderberg, so there is that at least.
