48 Replies to “47: Hegseth Confirmed”

    1. Everyone knew “The Turtle” went soft on China due to immediate family financial interests, but this seems to indicate that he’s also dabbling in defense contractor profits. He would have been better off voting “aye”. He may have just guaranteed a closer look by people he doesn’t want taking a closer look.

      1. Mitch McConnell has no idea which button he pushed anymore than Biden knows he signed an EO to blockade all LNG exports. Mentally unfit. Yes, I am being generous to this TDS excuse for a “Republican”

        1. McConnell is a RINO rat, who, along with other RINOs, helped to discredit and weaken the Tea Party movement.

That movement was revived under Trump and became the MAGA army.

  1. Hegseth had my vote when he told that vile Sen. Kaine (Cain) …

“Senator, her child’s name is Gwendolyn Hope Hegseth, and she’s a child of God,” Hegseth responded. “She’s 7 years old, and I am glad she’s here.”

    Yeah, and she’s adorable!

Meanwhile … Hunter and Joe Biden went to court to prevent Hunter’s love child he had with a stripper from taking the Biden surname. Demo creeps are vile human beings. They aren’t worthy to lick the soles of Hegseth’s feet

    1. Kenji,

Thanks again for the update, I didn’t know that. I missed his take down of AssHat Kaine….wasn’t he supposed to be a VP pick….

      Cheers

What are the chances of Dem environmentalists, Newxcum, etc. tying up reconstruction efforts in the Cali courts?

        1. Based on what I’m reading, the reconstruction will take at least 5 years to complete, due to all of the regulations in California.

          1. The California Coastal Commission is just about as fully Communist as any organization found in Beijing. The idea that Newscum will diminish their powers is laughable. The Coastal Commission will make life utterly intolerable for every parcel in Malibu, and a big chunk of Pacific Palisades. Bottom line is that the Coastal Commission exists solely to STOP Development on the CA coastline.

The elephant in the room, that Trump is utterly unaware of, is the CA State Housing MANDATE … much of which JUST went into effect Jan. 1, 2025. The rules, which are currently in effect allow for virtually ALL of the small (formerly) single family lots to allow 4-units (2 homes + 2 ADU’s). Current Law allows those units INCLUDING the ADU’s to be sold-off as separate parcels … just as Condominiums are parceled-off and sold. If enough people chose this option … those formerly peaceful, quiet neighborhoods would explode to at least 4-8 times the population in an area with infrastructure designed to handle a tiny fraction of that.

And even if property owners didn’t elect to pursue 4-units … I predict that nearly EVERYONE will include an added single ADU to their properties. That would be MY advice to any client I worked with, as you know 95% of your neighbors will be doing so. Hence the neighborhoods will swell to 2-3 times the prior population … with less parking as many ADU’s require no parking. The character of those peaceful, quiet neighborhoods will become a shitshow of inadequate infrastructure. Pacific Palisades, Altadena and Malibu are forever lost. They will NEVER be the same. Trump is utterly naive about this.

And NONE of this is some crazy anti-Newscum conspiracy theory. These laws are ALL on the books NOW! They were all engineered by Newscum and that pole-smoking, LGBTQueer creep Scott Weiner. They ensured the rebuilt burn areas are forever RUINED. Trump is naive when he says let’s hurry up the rebuilding, as these neighborhoods will NEVER be the same … and they certainly won’t be “better”.

            Thanks for posting.

Left unsaid, is that once a city splits lots designated for single family homes into four units, developers will apply for much bigger 8 and 12 unit developments. Their argument being four plex units are already approved.

          3. Joe, you are 100% correct. Developers will … at the very least purchase adjacent lots or blocks of lots and redevelop them as PUD’s (Planned Unit Developments) by which zoning and setback rules are relaxed to accommodate large developments with common areas. About as non-single family residential as you can get.

Oh! And that will definitely happen

        2. Kenji-

What you wrote about is happening right now in Calgary Alberta. Lefty urbanites elected a lefty council who have effectively destroyed decent sized single family homes.

          1. Chairman David Eby has done the exact same thing. All leftists want to destroy the Single Family house. Streets full of “rabbit hutches” just like Europe. No one in the future should grow up on a single family lot with a yard.

          2. And let’s not forget that Mount Royal and – I believe – Elbow Park are exempt from these new regulations “to preserve their character”.

      2. You know, in hindsight … I believe our current LGBTQueer military complex were particularly offended by Hegseth’s heterosexual virility. Multiple wives, and 7-children. And no … Hegseth never strapped on fake breasts and pretend-nursed ANY of his children. THAT is the most likely source of their hostility toward Hegseth. The far-left Democrats and the Queer DEI military are revulsed by Hegseth manly good looks and net child output. That’s my main takeaway. Oh! And his devotion to family … devotion to his children … even if he has … what do the Dem’s. call it? … a “blended” family.

        1. Don’t blame Trump.

I feel sorry for them , but if ultra-wealthy Malibu and PP don’t want this, they should fight it.

Chamath said on Tucker, many of the ultra rich who are vital to the Dems vote D no matter what. Maybe they don’t care?

          1. I didn’t mean to blame Trump. He’s a builder/developer … he sees new construction as a universally positive thing … to which I generally ascribe. But the State’s destruction of single family neighborhoods in some misbegotten socially engineered means of dropping poor folk into wealthy, insular, suburbs will not end well. No social engineering programs by the government EVER end well.

But yes, the people who’ve been burned-out by ultimately destructive eco-policies should have something positive to look forward to. The government should get out of the way as much as possible … and for the love of God, they should be able to return to their burned out lots. Now!

  2. JD Vance @JDVance 24m
I thought I was done voting in the senate [crying laughing emoji face]

  3. Re: Kurt Schlicter’s comment … yes, Kurt … but unfortunately they actually FILMED their sphincters being gaped in a Senate Hearing Room … on the witness desk. So they’ll be having trouble puckering their loose sphincters about now …

    1. It’s the second last thing I want to hear – 1 million sphincters puckering …

      1. Also got a bunch to write her onto the ballot when she lost the primary. Lots of frozen brains there. Murkowski needs to be turned into polar bear bait.

  4. Off topic … sorta … watching MY PRESIDENT operate today in NC and CA makes me finally proud to be an American again after 4 long years of suffering thru Mao’s America. Trump is a BOSS! He’s done more, and says more, and takes more unscripted questions with candor and honesty than any other POTUS in my lifetime. It’s almost SHOCKING how transparent, honest, organized, energetic, and SMART … MY PRESIDENT is …

Trump is setting a new HIGH standard for the office of President.

    1. He did it before and he’s doing it again. It takes a long time for idiots to understand that most politicians are liars and most of the others are stupid.
But, like Newsom and Trudeau they have nice hair so morons think they’re smart.

    2. Kenji, you nailed it. Americans were desperate for change because Democrats have been trying to force their insane liberal-socialist changes down our throats for four years. Trump is just what this country needed: Ronald Reagan on steroids!

  5. BTW …

5150 refers to a section of the California Welfare and Institutions Code that allows for the involuntary psychiatric hold of individuals who are deemed a danger to themselves or others due to mental illness. This hold lasts for up to 72 hours for evaluation and treatment.

Yeah … the Senate is all of that and more.

  6. I was very worried about this because I feared it would setup a domino effect for Kennedy, Gabbard, & Patel. Thank goodness Hegseth has been approved!

  7. Poor little sniveling ass kissing careerists at the pentagon wetting their pants now, nice ribbons though!

  8. The night before it’s 18 months, the next day it’s right away and shortly thereafter it’s soon. These are the people you voted for California. They are running the shit-show you will endure.

      1. My thoughts exactly. The Guardian. Next he will link to a Reuters “Fact” check site. Snigger chortle

    1. If you link to the Grauniad you are not a serious person. I will make an exception for flagged ridicule.

    2. UnMe, C’mon man! We know you love to poke the bear, but even you’re not dumb enough to believe this crap!
From “Revealed: Trump Pentagon nominee endorsed extremist Christian doctrine…”
“…Pete Hegseth… appears to endorse the theocratic and authoritarian doctrine of “sphere sovereignty”, a worldview derived from the extremist beliefs of Christian reconstructionism…”

      “Extremist Christian doctrine”?
      “Sphere sovereignty”?
      “Christian reconstructionism”?
Where do smear mongers come up with this BS? It’s Christianity for God’s sake! Remember Christianity?: ‘Jesus died for our sins’, ‘Turn the other cheek’, ‘Love thy neighbor’, ‘The prodigal son’, etc., etc., etc.?
Next thing you know, you’ll be comparing Hegseth to Jim Jones.
