    1. Here’s my approach. As a white guy, I am no longer entitled to an opinion, therefore it isn’t my problem. So why should I care about these people?
      Liberals claim they have the answers, so they can wear their failure all on their own.
      I don’t think it’s necessarily racist, just common sense.

  9. Strangely enough, there has been a personal – and quite literal – silver lining to this wokery nonsense.

    Since I know I’ll be hectored as a cisgender white settler anyway, I no longer bother with museums (Canadian Museum of History admittance: $21 for an adult), I ignore the National Art Centre (shows often cost over $100 a seat now) and I skip all movie theatres (why bother with the expense and inconvenience of going out to see a crappy Hollywood offering in the age of the big, smart HDTV?). Ditto for sports events.

    And the list goes on from there.

    Those dollars are staying in my pocket, thanks.

    1. I’ve cancelled my ROM membership and I haven’t been to the Stratford or Shaw Festivals in years. I’m saddened because there really is no substitute for those, but I’m not giving them money to insult me.

  11. re – Canadian museums are too colonial. European immigrants came in numbers that overwhelmed the native population, their culture supplanted the existing culture. This, we are told, was bad. Evil. Hateful. Racist. White supremacist.

    But now non-European immigrants are coming in overwhelming numbers that will overwhelm current Canadian population and culture. This, by contrast, is good. What the Liberals don’t seem to realize, is that the “White guilt” brainwashing won’t work on these newcomers, and the native population will eventually lose their special place in Canadian society.

    Canada’s military (the opponent most feared by the Nazi forces in WWII) will be oh so woke, tolerant and LGBTQMSKL+++ but totally unable to fight.

  12. Why not just shut down the museums? Save some money rehashing these for whatever flavour of the month demands re-writing.

    It’s not like Canadians go to them or anything.

  13. Liberals are destroying traditional Canadisn heritsge. This is a bad thing — even for newcomers who are left with no notion of what it is to be Canadian. There are no social norms. Newcomers can have an impact — and they do. Aboriginals can also have an impact. But we are all impoverished when we have no sense of our historical roots. Liberals are destroying the ties that link people to the social cultural /framework that has made Canada a fine country for do many years.
