What the hell do you have to lose?
“You’re living in poverty, your schools are no good, 58% of your youth are unemployed — what the hell do you have to lose?” Trump asked the audience in an unscripted moment from a speech in which he otherwise stuck to his teleprompter.
He accused Clinton of wanting to give jobs to refugees rather than unemployed African-Americans in the US, saying they have “become refugees in their own country.”

Y2Kyoto: It’s about control.
On how politicians, foreign and domestic, used the climate hoax.
I learned that both domestic and international actors had succeeded in using the poorly understood science of climate change to advance an ambitious environmental agenda focused on increasing centralized control over people’s daily lives.

US Daily Wire had Trump by 6. I admit, I’ve never heard of them before, so I don’t know their reputation. Lots in the breakdown that’s interesting.
Red Rose Country
Libin on the the Alberta NDP. He’s like, “What the heck are you doing, Alberta NDP?”
I’m like, “Uh, Kevin, that’s the effing plan.”
Libin likely doesn’t have much contact with the NDP or their beliefs.
What do you think happens when the Balancing Pool is running all of the formerly private power companies? If you guessed Alberta Power Corp., congratulations. If you think the ABNDP wouldn’t like to leave behind a few crown corps when they leave office, you’re mistaken.
What better way to nationalize an industry then using the capitalists own weapon? I’d be surprised if the NDP hadn’t game-planned this for years. Carbon Dioxide gives the perfect excuse to run up the bills, the contracts guarantee the companies get bought out by the gov’t., the citizens pay a tonne-more to ABPower, ABPower pays a tonne-more to the gov’t, the coffers run over.
This isn’t incompetence, it’s a socialist wet-dream.
If the interaction between a couple of our Alberta commentators is any indication, then bank on at least one more term. The Alberta right-wing appears to still be in stage two of grief, anger.

EXCLUSIVE: RCMP investigating Peterborough plane crash as ‘national security issue’:
“No, he’s not going to harm anybody. … Did he harm anybody?” he said. “[If] he was willing to harm someone, why [did] he go to Peterborough then? It’s a big city here.”
Good question.

“Mental health issues”
And the left accuses the right of using dog whistles….
Global News has learned the RCMP is now leading the investigation into a stolen plane that mysteriously crashed in Peterborough, Ont. last week and it is being treated as a potential “national security issue.”

Yellow Journalism Infects Blogging
An interesting video and analysis about how the demand for clicks and traffic has corrupted blogging. I’d like to say it only infects left wing blogs as those of lower moral caliber would sell out truth for traffic (and disproportionately it does), but I’ve seen enough click bait on right wing sites I don’t trust everything I read from that side of the isle either.
Banning the Burqa
Integration should be the end-goal of any immigration policy.
Austria’s Foreign and Integration Minister Sebastian Kurz from the centrist People’s Party, who plans to introduce a new integration law next year, said religious symbols such as the burqa were an issue that needed to be discussed.
