Well, it appears that Kate has gone on strike, something about shirkers.
This is in honour of the Ken Petkau, whom you may remember with the handle of Ken Kulak.
Those who may have known him, know.

To explain the country’s finances and stolen money as the Niger minister of finance.
He’s be given 48hrs by the military, after a coup overthrow, to explain the country’s missing finances or face execution by firing squad.
Should politicians in the US face the same?

The pundits and politicians have had their say. Give us yours. Eighty-seven seats up for grabs and the last election resulted in a 63-24 UCP win.
Things may be different this time if the polls are

Lota of grumbling about slow returns: I’m wondering if I will wake up in the morning and have Biden as premier.
Don’t count him out.

CBC hardest hit.
We said, “It’s a tax on everything and it’s going to raise prices on everything.”
They said, “Don’t be a denier. It’s ‘capitalism’. It’ll drive innovation.’
We said, “Costs will out pace the profit margins and business will cut back and increase the costs to consumers.”
They said, “Don’t be ridiculous.”
They said:
I don't think it should ever be okay — that in Canada Loblaws earned $520 million in Q4 profits while Canadians turned to food banks in record numbers.
Today – CEOs like Galen Weston have been summoned to Parliament – they’ll be forced to answer for it.

We said, “Told you so.”
That’s just about everyone that has leadership aspirations now, maybe a couple left over.
Eastern Canada’s PM is in trouble. Big trouble. I expect he’ll try to fight it as he can but IMO the “walk in the snow” happens before the summer break. I think the cabal around power in Ottawa is a little worried about the dope going up against the Conservatives. I don’t think they think he would win against Poilievre and let’s face it Pierre is as much a reaction to Trudeau as a reaction to the previous Conservative leaders.
In other words, while I think the CSIS thing is the real deal, I also think it’s being orchestrated.
That leads to a Liberal convention probably just before Christmas and a spring election next year with a different Liberal leader. Singh gets off the hook, Liberals get off the hook, the media gets a redo on the nasty Nazi running the CPC, etc. ad nauseum.
Be careful what you wish for, you might just get it.
I support swift, sustained, coordinated and crushing sanctions against Russia.
I support the decisions of the Gov’t of Canada in regards to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Glory to Ukraine!
The people of Ukraine are today showing the incredible strength of a free people fighting for their democracy.
This is one of those times, and one of those places, where freedom confronts tyranny.

Fun with cracks. The blank main page was redirected to an email harvester and the template was corrupted. We’ve reverted to a backup but expect further issues as we go through the process. At first glance it appears only the templates were affected but that’s an assumption of giant proportions.

Bumped for Update, from Kate: In response to some of the comments — site loading problems usually originate with the host server and are temporary, more rarely because something in the publishing software gets broken. When the day comes that I pack up the blog for good, I’ll say so on the main page. And should a terminal problem beyond my control take us down, I’ll ask Ed Driscoll to relay the information at Instapundit, and wish you all good luck in your future endeavors.
Via Instapundit, a study that compared 100k people aged 18-34, 10k of whom were from San Francisco for smoking rates.
San Francisco’s ban on flavored tobacco product sales was associated with increased smoking among minor high school students relative to other school districts. While the policy applied to all tobacco products, its outcome was likely greater for youths who vaped than those who smoked due to higher rates of flavored tobacco use among those who vaped.5 This raises concerns that reducing access to flavored electronic nicotine delivery systems may motivate youths who would otherwise vape to substitute smoking. Indeed, analyses of how minimum legal sales ages for electronic nicotine delivery systems are associated with youth smoking also suggest such substitution.

“I think the whole thing is boring,” Ocasio-Cortez, 29, said Thursday at the Queens Library event. “He should have been impeached a long time ago. I’m over it. And so that’s how I feel about it because we’ve got work to do.”
Hypocrisy, thy name is Trudeau.
But that’s okay, though. Despite a massive amount of this campaign being about virtue signalling climate hysteria, this apparently wasn’t a secret.
Yes it is true. I believe they also had two planes in 2015. The advance plane carries the equipment, lights, flags, etc. for the leader’s rallies and events. (This was not a secret).

Today, the so-called “Conservative” wing-nuts shut down the Rebel.

“I said, ‘I’m telling you, you’re not getting the billion dollars.’ I said, ‘You’re not getting the billion. I’m going to be leaving here in,’ I think it was about six hours. I looked at them and said: ‘I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money.’ Well, son of a bitch. [Laughter.] He got fired. And they put in place someone who was solid at the time.”
