Like any politician, Wilkinson cares only about getting re-elected. His constituency is North Vancouver, and they are anti-pipeline. The fact that Wilkinson is from Saskatchewan is neither here nor there, except that it allows Trudeau to claim to have Saskatchewan representation in his cabinet. More of the same. Not really and Andrew Scheer would have lost even without the existence of the PPC. They only dropped eight ridings where the vote totals would have swung the win over to them. That would have changed nothing.
The main political challenge at this point is for all forces of freedom to understand that the CPC has been given a mandate to resist globalism, even though they never said they would resist it and have showed no appetite for speaking in plain language about the challenges that face western Canada and all Canadians who want to be free of the globalist curse.
Max Bernier and the PPC are the only federal political party speaking without guile or disguise about these issues. So it’s time for the CPC to put up or shut up, and stop needling the PPC who are actually trying to change the situation rather than enduring it for personal gain, the usual Toronto-Tory approach to principled conservatism (they wouldn’t know it if they ran into it on Bloor Street).
The two provincial premiers of what I call the hostage provinces (held hostage by the combined elites of Laurentia and Salmonland) are the main players. Scheer would be wise to co-ordinate strategy with them and follow their lead. Bernier probably needs to realize that the federalist option is approaching the DNR status that it should have had years ago. His recent speech in Red Deer was fine as far as it went but I don’t think that as an eastern politician he quite realizes that western alienation is a lot more than a posture, it’s going to become a unifying principle for independence.
The attitude of the Liberal government seems to be, let’s do nothing but say a few kind if meaningless things, and allow the three stooges (May, Singh and Blanchet) to attack western Canada on our behalf, quite openly it has to be said, with an obvious foundation of malice and envy, and the end game being the destruction of the Alberta and Saskatchewan economies.
Speaking as a resident of the B.C. interior, I believe that it will be necessary for citizens of that part of our province to begin a process of determining who would be in and who would be out of any movement to join with AB, SK and possibly NWT, YT and even parts of MB in whatever political campaign they devise. It would mean a partition of British Columbia somewhere like the outskirts of greater Vancouver, although I have no illusions that support for western sovereignty would be as strong in any part of BC as it is in Alberta at present. The Okanagan, central interior, east Kootenays and the northeast seem like they might be more in favour than the West Kootenay region which is a socialist outpost of Salmonland, perhaps we could call it Inner Salmonland and the coast Outer Salmonland.
I would imagine a similar process starting up in Manitoba, with the Winnipeg region perhaps less likely to want to join in than the western parts of that province.
There is no time left now for any sort of long involved and ultimately counterfeit “process” to restore some non-existent entity some might call national unity. If half the country have gone nuts and want more globalism rammed up their behinds, then there can be no national unity and really no nation of which we would wish to be or remain citizens.
That does not make anyone a “separatist.” Canada was hijacked by the international globalist conspiracy as part of a United Nations led plot to punish the European heritage peoples of the world for a variety of mostly imaginary crimes, and to destroy our countries and our way of life. Well I’ve been a scrutineer at a real polling station and there is no way that the correct tally is available the next day, let alone an accurate analysis.

As a resident of “Salmonland”, I agree. I like the idea of something like a referendum by RD over the question of whether or not you would want to be part of a greater freer Western Canada or remain behind as an outpost of Eastern Canada with the potential outcome that the US may be your only hope of commerce without negotiating mutual agreements for transport of goods in both directions (Oil, Black Gold, Texas Tea, etc). I suspect that initially the vote would be positive in all but West Kootenays (Americans stationed there during the Viet Nam war never left – watermelon central), Sunshine Coast, half of the lower mainland, Victoria, Gulf Islands, Southern Vancouver Island, and possibly the North Coast. Even those concentrations of hypocrites would possibly rethink the issue after the first referendum as there wouldn’t be much left of an economy without interior resources and Ports at risk of isolation. Much of the hypocrite concentration exists as a form of hospice economy of retirees (Southern Vancouver Island) and someone else has to pay for their health care and 60,000 ferry crossings every year and I don’t think Quebec will come through for them.

Technically, I like Bardish a whole lot better than I like Chrystia, which, technically, ain’t sayin’ much. What’s true, of course, is that Chrystia put my health care at risk, along with a whole lot of jobs in SW Ontario.
Personally, I think they’re going to get slaughtered: if Andrew doesn’t get them (which he will), the ladies (Michelle, Candice and Karen) certainly will.
Who goes into a Christmas break having been slaughtered over the previous two weeks, followed by two weeks (at least) of talk over the dinner table? Nobody. “Old Tomorrow” was Sir John A.’s nickname, and Mackenzie “the CCF are Liberals in a hurry” King are exemplars of how to string things out.

This from a government that claims to value diversity. Or at least they spend a lot of time virtue-signalling that. Yet Central Canada gets more than 75% of the cabinet positions.
These guys are playing for big stakes: they want to solidify their position in vote-rich Ontario and Quebec so they can win the next election. They don’t realize the stakes that are actually on the table: the survival of the country itself. In doing so they have sent this message to the entire rest of the country:
