A Preview of Hillary Clinton’s Campaign Tactics?
There are lots of truly strong women who don’t shrivel when someone makes a joke about them. Then there are those who excel at playing the victim card whenever it’s convenient. Here’s an example from the UK. James Delingpole has a more detailed explanation.
This Is Not Your Grandma’s Humane Society
Lynda Raffard is responsible for the health and well being of four children, 30-plus dairy cows, two dogs, two horses, a few barn cats, several chickens and a handful of goats. She is not, however, responsible enough to “adopt” a dog from a shelter. Why? Because the dog will not sleep “with the family.” Rural properties are simply not fit for re-homing a dog, says Manitoba Mutts, a dog rescue shelter.
Never mind that the dog would have access to a garage, barn and insulated dog house. Never mind that the dog would spend nearly every waking minute with a human at its side (much unlike the city-dwelling dog that is alone for a huge chunk of each day). Never mind that the dog will be active, and capable of fulfilling all the necessary activities that make dogs dogs, like running, walking, sniffing, rolling, herding, hunting, digging and more. No, a rural or farm-based home is simply too risky, says an organization that is “desperately in need” of finding homes for dogs and cats.

Hillary’s hit-list
So everyone is talking about this.
Not a surprise. The Clinton’s have a long history of pay-back.
Australia’s Public Broadcaster is as Corrupt as Canada’s Public Broadcaster
Looks like conservative Aussies face pretty much the same conundrum as conservative Canadians: Their tax dollars fund a heavily biased broadcaster that supports all views except theirs.
It is galling that taxes paid by all Australians go towards funding that Lefty/Green echo-chamber, which caters for a small urban elite, staffed with inner-city Ultimo types who couldn’t run a chook raffle. Privately owned media organisations stand or fall on their output, witness the enduring success of News Corp, and the rapid decline of Fairfax, as it too panders to the latte-sipping, sandal-wearing intelligentsia, and in the process ignores the vast majority of Australians. The Age astonishingly endorses Labor for the election tomorrow – as one commentator pointed out, after asylum disasters, NBN, massive debt, waste, dysfunctional leadership, knifings, in-fighting, Craig Thomson and Peter Slipper, what would it take for them not to endorse Labor?
But the ABC is paid for by all of us, and it should be representative of the views of all Australians, not just a mouthpiece for the Left. It is probable that a Coalition government will be elected tomorrow, sweeping away six years of Labor incompetence. Yet you wouldn’t believe it listening to the ABC this morning, with the majority of stories either puff pieces for Rudd and Labor, or criticism of the Coalition and Abbott. Maybe they realise that the clock is ticking, time is running out, so they have to make the most of it, like the last gasp of the Roman Empire.

Remember when….
Romney was shovelling the cash in and everyone on the left was complaining?
No?
I think it was the Seattle game…
Green Bay, WI – Like a pot of bratwurst left unattended at a Lambeau Field pregame party, simmering tensions in the strife-torn Midwest boiled over once again today as rioting mobs of green-and-gold clad youth and plump farm wives rampaged through Wisconsin Denny’s and IHOPs, burning Texas toast and demanding apologies and extra half-and-half.
Cartoon that shocked Midwest
The spark igniting the latest tailgate hibachi of unrest: a Texas newsletter’s publication of caricatures of legendary Green Bay Packers coach Vince Lombardi.
Protestors demonstrated against the images throughout the Badger State yesterday, with violent egging and cow-tipping incidents reported in Oconomowac, Pewaukee, Sheboygan, Ozaukee, Antigo, Oshkosh, Waubeno, Wauwautosa, Waunewoc, Wyocena, Waubeka, and Washawonamowackapeepee.
Yeah, we complain a lot
Sometimes it takes an outside view to remain objective.
I think I agree
It is the most spectacular night view of earth.

The Future of Education?
An interesting fellow named Alex Lindsay recently wrote a piece called “The Future of Education“. It’s well worth a read as he presents some very interesting ideas.
Open Question: If something like his vision were to come to fruition in Canada, what changes would have to occur?

The Toronto Morality, err, Mayoral race
So yesterday, the Toronto Star ran with a story that’s heating up the Liberal blog world. Many of the usual wing-nuts are down right offended that Giambrone has been “let out” in this manner. Phaw, more proof of the “…a women scorned.” adage.
Naturally, and as expected, the most balanced assessment comes from Calgary Grit. He makes fun of the whole schmozzle. The expected result has now been confirmed. What I wonder though, is where were those wing-nuts when Bernier was being dragged through the muck for his own sex-scandal? Oh yeah, calling for an election, or something, maybe a facebook group.
I think both of these men are tools though not for sex with beautiful women. They deserve my disrespect because they scoffed at the public trust that had been granted them.
Bernier left gov’t documents at his girlfriends house, Giambrone supposedly told his girlfriend that TTC rates where going up. Each abused the trust relative to their respective jobs. They are equal actions deserving of equal consequences.
Cheers,
lance
