Big Education at Work

The Ontario Liberals more than doubled spending on elementary and high schools during their time in office. Why? A bursting at the seems system. Nope…

In 2004 there were 112,235 teachers overseeing 2,129,742 students in the province’s elementary and secondary schools. In 2018, by the time the Liberals left, we had 125,980 teachers plus 9,054 early childhood educators overseeing 2,020,301 students.

As always, there’s more….and it will shock.

Showing Up To Riot

German police say around 800 people have demonstrated in the southwestern city of Stuttgart against a new ban on driving older diesel cars.

Stuttgart, a German auto industry center, on Jan. 1 became the first major German city to introduce a large-scale ban on driving older diesel cars with looser emissions standards. The move aims to fight air pollution but critics say they don’t have money to buy new cars.

No, the “move” aims to take away their cars.

New Libranos

Old Tricks.

For some if not most backbenchers, stocking the riding war chest is a Via Doloroso of endless, small-town, turkey-tea suppers, alternating with too-sadly-familiar cold plates of ham and potato salad, mustard-pickles-on-the-side shindigs, where the take can be in the low hundreds of dollars, and then only if the parish hall or the Legion club offers a rate, the paper plates and plastic cutlery are donated, and the local women are moved to prepare and supply the victuals gratis.

By comparison, Mr. Grewal’s fundraiser, held back when he was still a member of the Liberal caucus, was a blowout to end all blowouts.

It’s Cold

And Hell has truly frozen over.

“One only had to examine the official Environment Canada data for Ontario as well as for the entire country to acknowledge that the claim made in the article was inaccurate. Such acknowledgement would at the same time have addressed the complainant’s criticism regarding the lack of data to corroborate Dr. Feltmate’s claim about the increased frequency of extreme rainfall events in Canada. To make that correction, and for it to be meaningful, the writer would no doubt have had to change more than just the sentence in question – which, I admit, would have contradicted, in part, the theory described in the article and the accompanying interview with Dr. Feltmate.
