For One So "Generous" With His Own Traffic Stats

He certainly is stingy with the "quotes".

Speaking of stats... it's probably worth mentioning that for every visitor to the "Daily Hillier" this month, these pages received four.

Posted by Kate at May 17, 2007 2:06 PM

Thanks for posting that one I saw it and remembered the quote. Talk about moral ambiguity!

Posted by: Fergy at May 17, 2007 2:55 PM

Note that this sharp legal mind also saw fit to insert a period where none exists.

Need a blog entitled:

Posted by: Fergy at May 17, 2007 3:08 PM

Anyone can do the same thing. At one point or another you've either uttered or written any phrases or series of words that can be strung together to create something that is apparently "damming" like this:

-Warren Kinsella 2007

Prove that he's never uttered those words.

Posted by: Doug at May 17, 2007 3:09 PM

Thanks for posting that. Kinsella's been twisting my words and libelling me on his "enemies list" site. Nice to have the platform to give some of it back.

Posted by: Mark Bourrie at May 17, 2007 3:10 PM

Hmmm...apparently Kinsella has just had his ass handed to him by a girl......again.

Posted by: Bruce at May 17, 2007 3:13 PM

I guess the "Daily Hillier" is unacquainted with the ellipsis; otherwise he is simply dishonest as he puts a period inside the quotation mark at the end.

Posted by: Mark Collins at May 17, 2007 3:16 PM

"Speaking of stats... it's probably worth mentioning that for every visitor to the "Daily Hillier" this month, these pages recieved four."

Who cares?

Posted by: rudy espinoza at May 17, 2007 3:24 PM

In four years of journalism and three years of law school, he should have learned that what he wrote was an inaccurate and dishonest distortion of Hillier's words and the meaning of them.

Posted by: Mark Bourrie at May 17, 2007 3:25 PM

Plus he keeps on posting long, all-caps samples of the pedestrian, unremarkable spam emails he gets every day. Without comment, as if to say, "See what I have to put up with?"

Doesn't he know how to work the Junk Mail filter on his email?

Posted by: Kathy Shaidle at May 17, 2007 3:27 PM

It's much more fun to laugh at the flip flopping former tories like Garth, Belinda and Brison, who were actually elected into their offices.

Unaccountable, name-dropping former Liberal staffers-turned-lobbyists who can't even acknowledge their own party's past failures and criminal activity have zero credibility in the real world. I loved hearing his mentor swore in front of the Queen at the Charter signing. Stay Classy!

I saw that too, Kate. And note this aggressive legal brain who threatens to sue at the drop of a hat thought this total misrepresentation, period and all, was acceptable.

Good to see he follows his own advice.....

So the next tactic, is an attack on the there should be an attacke on Kate in 5...4...3...2.....

The actual statement before it was mutated by mutants:

"The days of farmers not being able to acquire a single deer-removal permit are dead. And the days of health inspectors cracking down on farmers markets and cleansing church suppers are history."

Again we get more proof the hyperbolic ego that calls itself "Kinsella" is unworthy to lick the cow poop off an honest farmer's boots.

In a war of authenticity Kinsella is unarmed.

As for "who's on the Liberal payroll these days" that list will prove very embarassing when published.

Warren has been Mr Grumpy pants ever since Dolton cancelled his croupier job at the now defunct Liberal-SN casino that was to be built on the DCE land in Caledonia. Sorry Warren you'll have to get your skim from another Librano racket.

Another appearance of the infamous Kinsella chickenman. LOL.

I wish everyone would email Warren a white feather every time he shoots off his mouth smearing someone then runs for cover.

Think maybe Kinsella has further dulled his mind with too much loud Punk Rock echoing through his brain.

Of course he's still retaining the typical Liberal modus operandi of picking out certain parts of whole comments leaving the main and most meaningful parts out.

It's all about whatever serves their agenda as usual.

Kinsella should hit the road with his band "Shit from Hell" and take another dirty trickster and agitator by the name of David McGuinty who can dish the bully stuff but cries when challenged.

Hey, let's show Kinsella we can do the same type of quoting.

Stephane Dionlikes to run around saying this- Stephen Harper says Kyoto is a socialist money laundering scheme.

So now we use Kinsella integrity in quoting Dion.

"Kyoto is a socialist money laundering scheme."
Stephane Dion-Liberal Party of Canada leader.

"I will tell you this, however (and here's where I disagree with one of Michelle's choices), 'smart' does not include bloggers like Kate who defame politicians by supplying fake, libelous quotes just to create hysteria.

That decision is not open to debate. Period. Anyone who attempts to dispute that decision will have their comment removed since I'm not interested in wasting my time reading any defences of her behaviour."

Watch out everyone!! The purple lizard speaks:

"In fairness, it’s not like Rampaging Randy isn’t without his defenders. He has, for example, the small dead gal out West who calls for genocide in Africa;... He has the cream of the crop, as it were."(Warren Kinsella, May 17 2007)

Or, as I choose to read it "... the small dead gal out West ... the cream of the crop..." (Warren Kinsella, May 17 2007)

Note to Warren: Good on ya for boosting Kate's hit total. You do owe her you know, as I'm sure your hits will spike today, as they always do when she links to your blog.

Also, since you seem to be having a bit of trouble with simple reading comprehension here, let me help you out: It strikes me that Kate is not some much defending Hillier as she is ridiculing you. Not that you need any help in that area mind you.

Now, take your Barney and go have your nap. You're getting cranky and the grown ups want to talk.

Posted by: Karl at May 17, 2007 6:29 PM

"genocide in Africa?'

I do believe that constitutes "actionable".

But it's the reading comprehension again - it probably explains how he managed to get involved in that infamous memo re: hiring Chuck Guite.

You know - and still not know what was going on under his nose. Or, over his head.

Posted by: Kate at May 17, 2007 6:34 PM

That may well be, but he seem to be well apprised of the situation up his own backside.

Posted by: Karl at May 17, 2007 6:41 PM

"the situation up his own backside" being he's been constipated and just not himself since his pick of the litter Dion got the nod to "lead" the disunited pack of wannabes. Things are not unfolding as he would hope, Steffi is not up to the task.

There's no doubt Mr. K has been having trouble defending the indefensible, wouldn't look good on his own credibility, lot of it flowing out and it's silenced the master of lambaste.

Posted by: Liz J at May 17, 2007 7:09 PM

Yea. We nailed him and now he's screaming like a stuck pig. Kate is big on African genocide, says the guy who lobbies for dump owners and tried to kill accurate stories showing the Ontario lottery system was riddled with corrupt practices. And then there's Adscam, Guite and the rest...
I "link" to David Irving, it's true. I don't have links to him, I link to an accurate blog post in which he rubs Kinsella's nose into the dirt for having to cough up $40,000 for libeling a Reform Party organizer in Web of hate. Since none of Kinsella's pals in the mainstream media would touch the story, despite its accuracy, I had to link to Irving's site on my Kinsella archives page (you can find it through Too bad Kinsella is so sloppy in his research that he libeled an honest man, had to pay for it, then had the likes of David Irving tear him a new butthole. Such is the life of the Pince o' Darkness (self-styled, that is).

Forgot to mention, maybe Punk Warren could have a little word with Martha H Findlay who is constantly defending the indefensible, including Prince Justin's misguided remarks.

Looks like she has no hope of going any farther in politics with the lack of smarts she's been showing of late.

Posted by: Mark Collins at May 17, 2007 8:07 PM

There was a disease outbreak in Africa a few years back where aid workers sent to help were being attacked. Kate suggested, in the face of such horrific ingratitude, that the aid workers should stop going to this place.

This is what Kinsella is referring to when he claims Kate "calls for genocide in Africa".

Warren, I don't think you are Satan incarnate, and I respect the fact that you (and Kate) put a lot of your personal life "out there" on blogs. I also commend your support of the Jews and Israel.

The problem is that you burn your own credibility when you say things about other people that are so torqued, and so disingenuous that there is almost no resemblance to the truth. Your attack on Kate and your misquoting of this Hillier guy (I have no idea who he is) are events, which repeated enough, will earn you some very widely shared and very uncomplimentary labels.

Truth has an annoying way of coming out.

I went to see what was up at musings just to get the latest dirt on a dirty political machine. Unless there is more to come, W is a spent force.

I have never EVER belonged to ANY political party or given one cent in donations. I have followed many journos, not just political, in my time.

When it comes to;
Seeing the real story.
Distilling the truth.
Being polite.
Being fair.
Giving a sh** kicking when deserved.
Being tireless.
Being unselfish.
Not having a mean streak.
Allowing all kinds of comments and suggestions.
Destroying punks with facts not insults.

Nobody, but nobody comes close to Kate.

In all honesty, I have no idea where she came from. How she got to where she is. Whether or not she had any traing in the multitide of topics she covers. How old she is. What experience. Motives.

All I know is, she is filling a void left by Canada's media. And doing it far better than any I know. Including old men with lots of "experience".

Posted by: real conservative at May 17, 2007 11:31 PM

agitprop: 1. propaganda and agitation, esp. in behalf of communism; 2a: a department or bureau in charge of agitprop; b: a person who engages in agitprop.

In his column in today's National Post, "Busted for being punk", Kinsella wrote than Monaghan has been unjustly attacked for the crime of merely "leaking some inconsequential agitprop about the government's plan to abandon (Kyoto)."

But then, breathtakingly, Monaghan is suddenly a "whistle-blower" -- one who breaks a code of silence by pointing out malfeance and crime. New-whistleblower Monaghan then nestles, completely unaccountably, in the bosom of this defense, for the rest of the article.

It's the "heads-I-win, tails-you-lose defense. See, what Monaghan did was not only trivial, and inconsequential, but it was very, very important, because we all know we do need whistleblowers.

That's why the Conservatives are hypocrites on this one, see? Remember Alan Cutler? Kinsella does. Therefore, the Conservatives are hypocrites. They have the nerve to attack some kid for inconsequential agitprop, while at the same time being a party that "loudly sings the praises of whistle-blowers (Heck, it even gets them to run for seats in Parliament, as did Alan Cutler, unsuccessfully in 2006) when the leaks are politically useful. Confused? Me, too."

Confused over Kinsella's passive-aggressive, partisan, water-in-a-balloon, unaccountable utilization of dirty-pool logic? Don't be. Perhaps he's just saying that Alan Cutler is comparable to Monaghan, in that both were merely engaging in..."inconsequential agitprop"...and therefore, if the Conservatives are in favour of inconsequential agitprop from the likes of can they now be so vicious to a real whistleblower, now that....

Ah well, it doesn't matter:

"When stripped down to its base elements, therefore, Jeff Monaghan's crime is, well, playing drums in a punk rock band with an idiotic logo and some equally moronic tunes..."

Well, that pretty much takes care of that, then.

A remarkable column, from a remarkable man.

I use to really enjoy going to WK's blog just to counter and temper my own attitudes with someone that is on the politial note diametrically opposed but on some of the human and personal values he use to express opinion that made me think.

As of the last 6-10 months however I have found little expression of his opinion but more of a ponted direction to blogs, news stories etc that I have already found, read and digested...

I would like him to return to express his OPINION once again.. for I may not agree BUT it does provide food for thought.

Well maybe it will change... I certainly can't write him about it because he has indicated in no uncertain terms that he is not interested in what anyone else thinks.. My opinion is not wanted.. I guess I just visit a little less often because there is reduced substance....

Posted by: bartinsky at May 18, 2007 12:27 AM

Thank you, EBD. I too noticed said column. It is one thing to be a pretend so-called "punk" so-called "anarchist" at the age of eighteen. By his age, Mr. Kinsella should know better, as should have Mr. Monaghan, once he signed his name to his memorandum of employment.

Unfortunately, Mr. Kinsella has now shown beyond a shadow of a doubt that while real men grow up and go to work, graying adolescents of his ilk continue to wallow in their shallow, wasteful ineptitude, attempting to jig the game in order to compensate for their personal inadequacies.

You're not that good, Warren; please, for your own sake, stop pretending. Perhaps take up an honest trade, like carpentry or plumbing. You would be surprised how satisfying it can be to be useful.

Posted by: Dork Boring at May 18, 2007 7:08 AM

Monaghan leaked, he did not whistle blow. Kinsella chooses(?) to be obtuse and call him a whistle blower, the more honorable act.

If he doesn't know the difference between a leaker and a blower he better pack it in, cash in his chips. Who would want legal advice from him?

Posted by: Liz J at May 18, 2007 8:01 AM

I may be mistaken but is Kinsella not a paid political lackey for McWimpy?

A media hack (if writing a low-end column counts) should declare his financial connections (past and present) to the Ontario Liberal party of McWimpy when attacking the Ontario Tories should he not?

If he is/was on the Liberal payrole, this is an ethical conflict.

Posted by: Warwick at May 18, 2007 12:44 PM

I am a resident of Ontario's Lanark, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington riding (hereafter L.F.L.&A.). I attended the recent nomination, electing Mr. Hillier, as a voting member, of the Constituency. There were 3 candidates, Mr. Hillier won on first ballot. I would suggest to Mr. Kinsella since he has such strong feelings that he run for the Liberal nomination in the riding and we will see what happens on voting day this October.
