  1. One letter AND an apostrophe. Oh, well. That’s different. The apostrophe changes everything.

  2. Took me less than 15 seconds, which is more time than you get on the show, so kudos to her, but it wasn’t that hard a solve.

  3. She revealed the secret. She practiced by watching the show. The more times you do the Daily Jumble the quicker you solve the thing.

  4. Actually, the apostrophe is a huge help. First word could only be “I’ve” or “I’ll”, and since you have the “L” in another word, first word can only be “I’ve” by elimination. Third word has to be “a”, as there is no logical English construction of “I’ve (word) I”. After that, sure it’s a guess, but it wouldn’t have cost her anything. Could have been “I’ve had a”, or “I’ve led a”, for example, but if it had been, we’d never have heard of her, would we?

  5. As KevinB stated, with the l showing, I’ve was the only posibility to start the phrase. The single a was obvious too.
Sometimes things just jump out at you.
    She may have considered:
I’ve got a chef boiling onion soup,
or I’ve got a bomb shelter under here,
but decided to gamble and go with what she did! ;>D

  6. We are big Jeopardy fans in my house, and we play a game we call “Jeopardy Wack” The object is to guess the answer to final jeopardy, after you here the category, but before you here the question. Its surprising how easy it is. It’s not always the case, because sometimes the category is just too broad, but it is usually the obvious answer if the category is a bit narrower.

  7. I’m surprised that it’s so surprising.
Years ago (and no, I don’t remember the puzzle, and only my wife witnessed it) I solved a Wheel of Fortune puzzle before the first letter was turned.
Yes, I do the Jumble and Jeopardy daily, so that probably helps, but it’s still no big deal.
