      1. I was in CHEO yesterday visiting a friend’s sick child. On the 4th floor, there were no patients in nooks and crannys, nor patients in the hallway. Rather, the floor did not seem full, though it may have been. Could not help but notice, about 12-15 nurses sitting and chatting at the nursing station.

  1. I wonder how many of these hospital administrators have ever seen a deer covered in ticks and scabs? Do they know that young moose can bleed to death from black fly swarms? Nature lives thru death.
Except humans, humans exist outside of Nature.

  2. It’s either (a) not true, (b) vastly exaggerated or (c) a larger number of the mentally deficient among us who are now petrified of getting a cold… going to the hospital when they get a sore throat.

    1. Agreed! I had a winter cold beginning on Saturday December 28 with the classic “tickle in the back of the throat”. It took 3 weeks (standard time for me as I think I must have the world’s worst bronchial tubes!). The last time I was sick was at the end of January 2023, when my sister and I returned from the Panama Cruise. Now that I am retired and do not ride public transit or work with other people, I do not become sick as often. I did NOT rush to the hospital, thinking that the “sky was falling, that I had COVID25”

    2. They’re not going to hospitalize someone with a sore throat. Doctors will listen to patients’ lungs using a stethoscope, take samples of bood or sputum, or order chest x-rays. This tells them if the patient has pneumonia and is a candidate for hospitalization.

    3. I’ve not been sick, or had a cold or flu since 2003…the year I took 3 business trips to Toronto.
In October that yr, I spent 4 straight days in bed – Massive Aches, Stiffness, ZERO energy, little to no appetite.
103.5 temps straight thru, I honestly thought that was the end of me….

      Since that….ZERO – NADA.

      sars..??

      Since then & daily:
      6000 IU Vit D3
      2 ea Vit C tablets w/Zinc
      VitB12 2 ea@ 1000 IU
      Hemp Gummies

    4. I’m one of those people from the age where you didn’t go to the doctor, let alone the hospital, when you had a cold or flu. Stay in bed, drink plenty of fluids and take two aspirin. That was it, and I don’t know anyone who died.

  3. It almost seems like something kicked the crap out of their immune system over the last 3 years or so and now they are more susceptible to everything that comes along. Add that to a large new demographic that has arrived with no immunity to our winter diseases. They might want to up their vitamin D3 intake.

  4. Money! Send money!

656 “Covid” diagnoses since last summer, other than that the article states a few dozen admitted here and there. For all the billions they can’t handle a couple dozen patients in a month?

    1. As there is no covid I find the continued expression somewhat irritating. The PCR tests have been proven to give 97% false positives, and I question just what is the positive?

  5. Could be the shots, could be the years of masks and soaking everything in sanitizer catching up.

    1. Wearing bacteria incubators on one’s face is not healthy, the constant sanitizing has the opposite effect, and the shots will be making people sick for about ten years from the last shot.

  6. I call fear-mongering BS, just like during the plandemic, when they said hospitals were full, and erected tents, etc, that, when investigated, were empty.

    1. Remember when Samaritans Purse offered to set up field hospitals back in 2020 and govt said No. Same with Mercy Ships and their hospital ships. A relative coordinated setting up a canvas hospital at Western Fairgrounds in London, Ontario. Never used for 1 patient. I could go on and on. 10 of thousands Candians die waiting for health care. Millions w/o family doctors, hundreds line up in a snow storm to sign up for a new doctor in Walkerton. 100s turned away. And what to we do, complain about the ‘system’ but don’t really want it to change. That would entail $$ and personal responsibility.

  7. I have no idea about the numbers of people in hospital nor do I honestly care. What I do see is a very nasty bug going around that seems to be causing pneumonia. I was talking to a lady in church this AM and she was talking about her experiences with several friends getting very very ill. She said she came home from getting groceries and found an ambulance gurney outside her door. Fearing for her room mate who was just recovering from pneumonia she found out it was her next door neighbour getting taken to the hospital with you guessed it pneumonia. Funny thing is all the sick people I know and there are about 6 of them were sick for about 3 weeks and all of them have been jabbed like all good Canadians were. BTW I’m a bad Canadian. Not vaxed and fully supporting Danielle in her fight with Killer Trudeau.

    1. I as well continue to be remarkably undead despite being a bad Canadian.

  8. COVID
    RSV
    “Fancy” Pneumonia…

They’re ALL “smallpox” blankets wrapping up Canada’s “newcomers”. I don’t know … it feels as though the Canadian government is genociding the newcomers? Why would they do that?

  9. The following article deals with the British NHS, but there are many parallels to the Canadian system:

    https://www.takimag.com/article/pauper-patients/

    From the above:

“Mrs. Thatcher’s right-hand man, Nigel Lawson, once said that the National Health Service was the nearest that the British came to a national religion.”

“This religion was founded upon several false tenets. The first was that, before the foundation of the National Health Service, health care hardly existed in the country. This, of course, was nonsense. Indeed, in the report first suggesting the establishment of an NHS, it was acknowledged that the British health care system … was among the best in Europe—instead of the worst, as it now is.”
