    Obviously, their definition of Democracy differs somewhat from ours.

    Speaking of Democracy – Blackie, Kenney, and every MP and MLA in the land….we did NOT elect you to lead us. We elected you to represent us. Until that attitude shift happens, there will be no meaningful change.
    As Kate’s byline states every day…..when was the last time you asked us about anything of import? Whether we wanted to have two classes of citizens? I am in Prince Albert, Sask. Did our MP ask before he voted to ban conversion therapy for consenting adults who want to transition back to being a normie?

    These overpaid lazy parasites have half the year off, and constituency offices. Why are they not going door to door every time they have a month off to ask their constituents directly about issues? You know, caring about their jobs like they pretend to do during elections. Not just ribbon cutting ceremonies, but door to door asking for input on how to REPRESENT us.

    I firmly believe that every party, starting with the CPC, needs to overhaul their system for picking candidates for the next election.
    Every MP needs to be out of a job at the start of every single election cycle. Let them resign, and go to their local party riding to attempt to win that position back, and let any newcomers challenge them freely for the honour of representing their party in their riding. That might encourage more local involvement in individual ridings. If the MP’s jobs were truly on the line every 4 years, they might start doing more, or paying more attention to their local riding than the edicts from Party Headquarters. Right now, if you are a CPC MP from Alberta or Sask. you are a shoe-in if you do absolutely nothing but toe the party line.
    Under the current system, we have government by a few leaders, with about 310 MP’s along for the ride.

    1. Yes, the ‘Populism is a Threat to Democracy’ line.

      Do these people even proof read their own work, or do they simply forget they are talking with the public at the time.

      Truth is that the only people who really believe in democracy is the swing voting centre. They think the voting system ensures a fair and equal cross section of opinions are transferred into the positions of authority.

      The Right tolerates democracy. Conservatives basically want to be left alone to do what is best for their loved ones without having pointless rules enforced on them by people they have never met. They accept that everyone is allowed an opinion, but question why people who pay taxes have the same voice on how those taxes are spent as people who don’t pay into the system.

      The Left see it as a means to an end. They support it because otherwise they know they wouldn’t have a voice. However the moment they become the dominant voice they want all that voting rubbish cancelled in case the ‘wrong people’ get the vote next time.

      This is why they are scared of Populism. It is not that the voting system exists, it is that the voting system does occasionally allow focal point leaders of ‘the wrong sort’ to rally the people they normally keep in line.

      Popular leaders of the Right are not wrong. They are just better at the job of attracting voters then the Left is, and remember, being a Left means if first you don’t succeed, blame other people for your failure.

    In any case, it appears that they got what they voted for.

      They live in isolation safely protected from the hostile outside world by Fortress Australia. New Zealand is a country that can no longer defend their own airspace. They have two total ships capable of actual warfighting. They talk the big ‘anti nuclear’ peace because other nations will protect them by default. They talk the big ‘refugees welcome’ peace and love because none of them are actually turning up on their beaches demanding a new home and somewhere to charge their iPhone.

      They are actually a basket case and have been for years. Their economy was based around sheep, tourists, moving to the “West Island” and Hobbits. The Hobbits left (the Amazon show about to start was filmed somewhere else). Tourists are locked out and no one can move to the West Island for work anymore cause they are locked in.

      Despite this the South Seas Tyrant claimed in 2020 that she was going to solve unemployment because Australia would need to rebuild their economy and her people were just the one’s to do it. Yes. She wanted to turn NZ into a sovereign labour hire agency.

      As for how she got elected? Open to correction but NZ managed to convince the turkeys a few years back that their political system needed extra big traditional family dinners. There was reform and suddenly minority parties could form government.

      Then she timed the ‘I am protecting you from Covid and you need to thank me with your vote’ election correctly and managed to increase her vote and extend her government’s term. I understand Castro’s Son more or less managed the same thing.

      Problem is that time has past and Mr and Mrs Voter are starting to notice there are not dead people on each street corner and that maybe just not being an overweight heart attack waiting to happen was enough to protect from the dreaded Fauci Flu and that, deep down, the Government did sod all.

  14. Freedom is a privilege not a right. The only thing I can pin the stupidity of Trudeau on is fear. Just end the mandates and it all goes away.
