    1. Yea…well that’s all fine and dandy, but like any NDP-LIBERAL Sack of dung, He has done SFA about our Prov Deficit – Nor made any real cuts to the PUblic Service Trough feeders….99.9% of the time its nothing but shootin his yap off.

I regret voting UCP. He is nothing but a LIBERAL Federalist in Disguise.

WEXIT – both Provincially and Federally.

      1. Yup.

The morning following the election back in October, I called his office and left a message urging him to start drawing up terms to take Alberta out of Confederation. Obviously, he’s done zippo about that.

He also hasn’t purged the provincial civil service of leftover Rachelists.

  1. Pet peeve.
Please do not refer to Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez as AOC.

    It helps her brand.

    Just my rant for tonight.

    1. She can put on all the makeup and lipstick she wants, I still wouldn’t ask her for a date. Aside for being thick as a plank, she has an abrasively irritating personality.

    2. JeffK, good point. Also the use of ‘AOC’ suggests an element of affection.

For the same reason I do not like to refer to that other commie psychopathic pol as ‘Hillary’.

        1. After a while, I got quite good at it. I could look over a picture and check off what I found in less than a minute. The landforms tended to have common characteristics which made them readily identifiable.

        1. A celestial body beyond Neptune was long suspected. It was the search for that object that led to the discovery of Pluto by Clyde Tombaugh.

But its calculated size and mass didn’t match what would have been needed to explain the motion of the outer planets. Where the so-called “Planet Nine” would be, whether in the Kuiper Belt or the Oort Cloud, is the subject of debate.

The question remains whether it can be observed using current instruments and techniques. Presumably a black hole would be detected because of a surrounding debris cloud, but it would also indicate its presence from any radiation it produces. That, of course, assumes that small black holes behave similar to much more massive ones.

  2. Well, now, finally AOC is holding forth with convincing authority on her “new cream deal”. All toners matter, eh, chickita?

      1. BAD R we need to show them how Cancel Culture works cancel all Pro Sport channels and support and buy none of their merchandise. Support local teams in your town or community. The kids love playing hockey and all other sport. And the kids appreciate the support. Besides the hot dogs are cheaper and the company is more fun.

        1. You bring back memories Watcher.
The good old days were when there were outdoor rinks and many dads put outdoor rinks in the back yards for kids to practice and play hockey.

One day while visiting relatives who had such a rink I noticed there was a hockey game going on outside shortly after my arrival so I put on my outerwear to hopefully join in.

The boys were all about 9 or 10 years old and we’re outfitted with red Canadiens hockey sweaters, regular pants, red Canadiens toques, gloves, skates and hockey sticks. My goodness this was no place for a 6 year old girl with no gear, I thought. So I just watched them play. When the game was over my sweaty cousin came over and said hello. I announced the winners were impossible because I knew my numbers and there were two number 9s on opposite teams but with the same colored Canadiens sweater. I wasn’t having any of this. Cousin was one of them.

It was then that I got my first kiss from a boy! I remember going into S~H~O~C~K! I never knew what that was about!

But my cousin was there at every family gathering throughout life. It meant so much to me when he came to Mum’s funeral. She, of course was his aunt. What a guy! He retired from the Montreal police force. Was/ is–  a real stand up guy.

P.S. I guess you fellas all know who # 9 was eh? He was another real gentleman:
          http://ourhistory.canadiens.com/greatest-moment/No-9-Retired-Forever

          1. Number 9? Gordie Howe. Or was it Bobby Hull. Norm Ullman? Johnny Bucyk? Can’t think of any others.

      2. Same here, mate. And hopefully soon, enough people get sick of these narcissists.

@Watcher- hear, hear. I love hockey, just not the pro BS. Just a bunch of mercenaries. And I’ll keep going to my local track rather than watching F1 or NASCAR. Although IndyCar has fairly deftly side stepped most of this.

    1. So who are those seven players? Out of what, about a thousand? Why do they think they can run the league? They are so full of themselves that they don’t even think of submitting their requests, nay demands, to other players and see what they think.
If they are made up of fringe players as I suspect, the easy solution is just to waive them, and presto chango, they won’t be involved with the NHL any more.

      1. https://hockeydiversityalliance.org/ list the seven, only one I had heard of was Evander Kane, who seemed to be a walking PR problem from day one. The other co-head has been off playing in Europe apparently.

With the average pro hockey career being 3 years, I am sure a few could be cut short if the league were to choose to refocus on their core business.

        1. Their goal is to end systemic racism in hockey it says. So for it to be “systemic” that means it is inherant in the system. Part of its DNA. So every league going back decades no matter how minor, from the five year olds on up is run by racists? In every part of Canada from sea to sea to sea? Every part of the US that has an interest in the game? All through Europe and Russia? Every parent, whether they know it or not, that gets up at god forsaken hours to drive their soon to be racist little children to the rink is in on this systemic racism? Every coach, every ref that take on those thankless jobs are all part of this SYSTEM? I’d like to have these seven men answer to this. Have them expose those racists that brought them through the system. Point fingers. Name names. Lets clean up minor hockey of ALL the racists if this is for the betterment of the game. Haa. Is there anyone in the hockey media that will ask these questions? Absolutely not. Name one sports writer in your town that isn’t in this cult of Wokeness. I know in Calgary there isn’t one.

          1. Basketball was invented by a short white canadian guy.
Time to talk cultural appropriation and reparations.

    2. So the red line is such because of We Were Here First Nations?
Black Lines Matter…seems a bit offside to me.

    3. This says all that need be said: “Hockey Diversity Alliance, an association made up of seven players ..”

Wow, seven whole players – colour me impressed.

    4. Hard enough for goalies to see the puck now could you imagine a 100 mph slap shot coming off a black line you wouldn’t see it until it was stuck in your mask

  4. That fluffy ron mclean poopsie ended my desire to watch any more nhl long before he stuck the shiv into Don Cherry. The smarmy theebthee creep did more to damage a once manly game more than if the clown could’ve played. Pro sports might as well change their names to “the chicks” or the “lady a’s”. go to hell pro sports.

    1. It was actually the Cherry episode and Ron McLean’s sanctimonious role in that and NHL diversity that permanently ended my support for the NHL. This more recent leftist shit is just confirmation of that. I hope the league – one that I’ve followed for over 50 years – loses big time and goes broke.

    2. Ron McLean creeped me out WAY before he threw Don Cherry under the bus. Another one is Kelly Hrudey. They both have that ‘something’ about them that makes me cringe. And you know what? They’re both STARS according to the downtown Toronto elite that run the league. It’s sickening what’s happening to the game I love.

  5. Next time someone chains themself to anything as a protest, just dump a pail of piss or smelly baby diapers on them. They will be gone instantly.

  6. There’s been many “journalists” jockeying for top place for Trump DERANGEMENT Syndrome the last 4 years but I think I’ve found #1….
    for the moment.

**Ivanka Trump has tweeted a photo of her son, Joseph, with his grandfather at the Resolute Desk with the Lego White House. I’ve asked the White House if 3-year old Joseph indeed built it of his own initiative, and if he had assistance.
Will tweet reply if/when I get it.**

This is real. It’s not satire. Yes, she gets mocked. No, she has no shame.

  7. Did any of you bother to read the comments from the Vogue site?
All of them women, and most young and non-white.
Let me tell you, it’s like a different universe. They all adore and idolize her. So there is a substantial portion of the electorate out there like that. They think of her as a movie star. They love her lips, they love her skin, whatever. I bet none of them can tell you what is in the U.S. Constitution.
Kate herself says if women ran the world, we’d still live in caves, but have the most beautiful curtains. So I do not need to apologize to her for saying I am getting more and more convinced it was a mistake to give the vote to women. Civilization has been going downhill ever since.
No, I take that back. I think the solution is to require you pass a very basic civics test before you can vote. That and citizenship and residency. No requirements as to sex, race, or age. If you are six and can pass the test, you are probably a more intelligent voter than most.

    1. There is some merit here.
It’s fair to say women who own property in their own name should vote.

      1. That should apply to men as well. Only property owners should vote. No more of this universal franchise BS, where the lazy get to vote themselves the proceeds of other people’s labour, which, of course, is just another form of slavery. Yep, progressives are all for slavery, so long as they get to be the Massas.

        1. I have owned property and not owned property, quite a bit at times. Always bought to make a profit. I no longer own any property but have adequate investments to keep me going until death do us part, some of it as a result of owning property. Are you telling me people who make smart decisions and are productive but own no property should be denied a vote? I recently leased a new house, just built, my wife and I are the first to live there. At my age it is pointless to buy as it requires a great deal of cash that I use for daily living. Of course one never really owns property these days, stop paying the government your taxes and see just how long you “own” it. I do agree that citizenship and the ability to prove you are a citizen is of primary importance. Being a taxpayer should also be important. Those on welfare should not have the right to vote for someone who promises them more welfare.

          1. “Being a taxpayer should also be important. ”

Bingo, this and citizenship are the necessary and sufficient conditions.

        2. I wouldn’t go that far. I would go back to having 21 as the voting age. Every voter can vote for people in parliament, but only those who pay taxes can vote for Senate positions, which would control the budget.

      2. That’s exactly how it used to be in the days before so-called “Universal Suffrage”. Women who were landowners actually COULD vote. Landless men only got the vote a few years before landless women did. A colossal mistake on both counts IMO.

    2. Real property ownership. That used to be the requirement for voting; it should be again.

      1. 50 to 60 years ago a local county councilor was such an asshole some cottage owners from Edmonton and Calgary came to vote in the local election. Local elections were the domain of property owners.

        1. Number 9? Gordie Howe? Or was it Bobby Hull? Norm Ullman? Johnny Bucyk? Can’t think of any others.

    3. “I think the solution is to require you pass a very basic civics test before you can vote.”

It will solve absolutely nothing. Those tests will be easily circumvented. You have to remove the conflict of interest by prohibiting those who are funded by taxpayers from voting. So no publik sektor employees, and no welfare recipients. Only those who are net contributors should be allowed to vote, regardless of sex, marital status, age, race etc. Otherwise grasshoppers will always vote for a bigger share of ant’s labour.

    1. What a wonderful idea! My own fixes for these wastrel crybullies included following them home, identifying their neighbourhoods and driving a truck with monster airhorns through their neighbourhoods three times during the day. Let’s see how they wail over losing their sleep and showing up all b1tchy and whiny at the riot that night, “Ugh I couldn’t sleep, this noisy truck and I called the cops on them but the cops wouldn’t come, they just laughed when I told ’em…”

“Well get it together dude – we gotta’ man-up the bullhorns tonight for another “Wake up M…F…’s wake up” chant in the suburb next to the one we did last night – Soros wills it!”

    2. The Mail in Voter (fraud) plan by the Democrats is easy to control….Bounty hunters & Tip lines with Rewards….The cheats will be turning themselves IN..

BTW: The Credit Cards of the 12 year old mental midgets are Maxed out & in default by now….All that money that they think they gave to joe…bounced…..The big Democrat sponsors have very little available CASH to throw away….So sad… Riot & Looting keeps the thugs eating

  8. Because every woman and resident of Toronto will want to know this morning, Great Leader Angry Adolf is spending a relaxing weekend at Harrington Lake.

  9. Actor Chadwick Boseman died. 43. Cancer.

Juthtin the Weirdo will send a taped message of condolence after he blames whitey. Then he’s going to look up Wakanda on the map and try to send them money.

      1. According to the Canadian media Boseman was the most famous Hollywood actor in history. Meanwhile Heather Mallick at the Liberal Party’s Toronto Star explains this morning that the black and white speakers at the Republican convention are cardboard cut out figures who are poorly dressed. Isn’t that racist?

        1. Actually identifying Heather Malice as a human being is racist. I don’t know what the hell she is, but she ain’t of my people, or my species for that matter.

  10. Big protest today in Berlin — anti-Coronavirus restrictions: closures, masks and distancing. I believe these are happening elsewhere as well including London and Toronto, but whatever is happening in Canada is not well advertised, so turnout might not be great. Press will downplay or ignore it anyway. Here is Berlin:
    https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/aug/29/berlin-braces-for-anti-coronavirus-protest-against-covid-19-restrictions
Europe is wakng up to the reality that human rights and freedoms are being compromised and stats and information regarding danger of the virus exaggerated and distorted. An increasing number of people are viewing government actions as a control agenda– not a public health agenda. As someone posted (convinvingly I would say) “If you are not a conspiracy theorist at this point, you are not paying attention.” What’s going on in Melbourne is chilling.

  11. A little bit of serendipity due to our current federal government’s incompetence.

    https://nationalpost.com/news/canada-china-covid-19-vaccine-trials-abandoned-national-research-council

The Liberals haven’t a clue that everything China is doing against us is tied to China wanting us to release Meng.

The upside is that we are not going to be getting a vaccine ( if a vaccine is even possible against the Wuhan Flu) made in China, with their iffy medical moral standards.

I, for one, am breathing a sigh of relief that someone isn’t going to try to inject me with something made in China.

Why were we even working on something together with these communists?

    1. Z, there will be no effective vaccine. Do you remember all the times you went to a doctor because you felt like crap, headache, fever, cough and the good doctor told you it was a virus and there was nothing to be done except rest, fluids and something to reduce the fever. Well, guess what the whu who flu is? I wonder why captcha considers a mailbox a parking meter.

    2. I took high blood pressure medication made in China – at least until it was revealed it causes cancer.

  12. Kyle Rittenhouse, the 17-year-old shooter pilloried by the Establishment Media, for defending himself and a gas station, needs our help. Yes, we all support him through blog statements, but sometimes conservatives need to do more than cheer others on. They need to offer tangible support.

Here is a UK Sun article, describing how the #Fightback Foundation is now helping Mr. Rittenhouse out through pro bono legal aid:
    https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/12526350/fightback-foundation-kyle-rittenhouse-kenosha-shooting-protest/

Click on the first link in the article, to get onto the correct web page. Note that this organization differs from Fight Back Foundation, a small charity helping kids in Colorado. I will be contributing to the #Fightback group, waiting a while to see if they give more info out, in the next few weeks. From reading some news articles, the #Fightback Foundation is the legit web page to help out. But do your own diligence.

      1. From CTV: https://toronto.ctvnews.ca/new-covid-19-cases-in-ontario-surge-to-highest-number-in-more-than-a-month-1.5084421
        Run for the hills!
Now 148 new cases out of some 14 million denizens. How many flights in from Chinah did the MSM not point out, since January? Our “border” has never been shut since day 1. Never let a crisis go to waste, I’m guessing. Hide out in Muskoka, dudes. As one dude said: “Cases of a disease so deadly it requires a test to see if you have it.”
Oh, by the way….it originated in Chinah, not Trump.

  13. And now your Canadians are racist bastards stories for today. After numerous shootings and stabbings in diverse Toronto last night, the media is excited today about the abolish the police parade. A massive crowd of about a dozen Toronto protesters marched and chanted abolish the police. Great banners provided by the Socialist Alliance stating Fight For Socialism. Meanwhile at the abolish the police demonstration in diverse Montreal, the statue of our first prime minister was torn down and damaged. Thank you Liberal Party for turning our country into a socialist, third world shit hole.
