  1. I am no cop lover and think many today are power hungry sjws of their own accord. However, when you grab a weapon off of a cop and try to use it against a cop you are going to die. Your life is forfeit at that point. I think Darwin had something to say on this.

    Cops are not trained to wait until lethal force is used against them BEFORE they are allowed to return the favour. That is a good way to run out of cops.

    Maybe we just need to accept the price of removing stupid ass individuals like this is one Wendy’s apiece. Maybe we just build fake wendy’s drive thru’s, after all the stupid ones just pass out in them anyways.

      That actually would be perfectly fair. Instead cops kill just in case (see Wichita SWATing case or the cynical cold blooded execution of Erik Scott in Vegas). I much rather cops got shot more often then continued to routinely abuse qualified immunity.

  2. I live in the Atlanta area and have been helping with a ‘boots on the ground’ church group that has been helping people who were having a very tough go with the lockdown. The types of jobs many are working are hourly, a lot of restaurant and fast food. Some were just getting back to work as Georgia opened up. Then the protests and riots hit along with the curfew. Many of them found their workplaces closed yet again. Yesterday there were calls for help from people that are now out of work as the Wendy’s they were employed at was burnt down. Mostly black people. Clearly only some black lives matter.

      So that is what they will do. They can’t allow voters to decide this again. They made the “wrong” intolerable decision last time.

I was recently asked by a dithering White leftist to comment on a video he was doing for his Facebook page extolling the virtues of White people explaining how they personally can help undo systematic oppression and racism of Blacks. In one way it was really funny because the three Blacks (the only ones he knew since they aren’t abundant around here) being interviewed were just suddenly on camera without warning, being put up as representatives of their whole race by this guy. They seemed to be more embarrassed than anything else. Their comments were things like “Just treat us the same way you would one of your White colleagues unless you already are, of course.” Also a more neutral “Well I guess we could talk about it.” I should point out these were not ghetto rats. These Blacks were university people, professionals and decidedly not leftist in one case I know about. Anyway at my turn I pointed out Black Lives Matter was an Islamist group founded by a branch of the Muslim Brotherhood and their donations were going directly to ActBlue then to the Biden campaign and we should be careful not to support that which is not helpful. True equality comes when we stop looking at skin colour. I got censored out. I challenged having my comments removed and I got told that commenting was reserved for those who were part of “Team Humanity.” Afterward one of the Blacks said to me in a private message the whole thing was cringeworthy and he just hated it when reverse racist leftists put labels on him and forced him into accepting supplicants trying to relieve their White guilt. The whole thing was about on a level of people who find out my wife is Jewish and then stumble around a bit and finally blurt out something really stupid like “Jews are such smart people!”

Okay it’s not straight forward and there are plenty of exceptions but having said that Jewish law (which of course a lot of Jews don’t follow) requires “Six days shall you work.” That means for six days you go out and work. Work is sanctified. Work is blessed by God. Work is commanded. On the Sabbath you stay home and rest. The Sabbath is Saturday. For observant Jews that means you try to work more during the week so you can take Saturday off plus all those hundred or so mandated Jewish holidays. Unions tend to frown on stuff like that. Jews are supposed to take Sunday off like normal people. They certainly aren’t supposed to be working extra hours other days so they can take Saturday and separate holidays off. Plus there’s the whole leftist = antiSemite thing. Every major union in Canada has official support and sanction for the poor oppressed Palestinians. It’s always a bit disconcerting to be in a union that seems to think shooting bombs at kindergartens in Sderot is an acceptable way to behave and anything Jews do to defend themselves is somehow disproportionate oppression. All that being said some of the biggest union people are secular Jews who have replaced their religion with the religion of socialism. My opinion, YMMV

  7. I am 68 and have known for at least a decade that there is an incredible number of stupid people in this world or people who cannot make connections between actions or events.
    I agree with some of the posted comments above in that this Wendy’s was probably black-owned and had at least 51% black employees. Now, these people are out of a job and the franchisee is out of his investment. Will another one re-open? Probably not, that is why most ghettos are “food deserts”.
    I strongly feel that the United States/Canada are repeating the summer of 1968 with “Burn, baby, Burn!” Will the Democrat party convention result in riots as well? Only time will tell.

Great comment Mr Birch, about “true equality is when we stop looking at skin colour!” I have often thought that if I were ever asked the question of, “Do black lives matter”, I would be somewhat perplexed as to how to craft an answer. The obvious answer, for me is, “All lives matter”. But a rabid BLM proponent would consider that a racist reply. For them, and their lefty SJW appeasers, If I disagree that B L Matters, or say all lives matter, that would be a validation for their extremist views of whites and conservatives. In my long life, I have traveled all over the planet, and I can assure everyone that racism is in every race and culture, but not everyone is racist. Not only whitey can be racist, and I also believe that BLM, and their backer’s are at the core, also racist. When push comes to shove as we are seeing now, the mob rules apply, and the mob, applies the rules! Each of us with a thinking brain, would revert to a political tribalism in such situations.

    Unfortunately, the mob brain is primal, and the results are on display right now all over the US! There are no easy answers, and the various groups, BLM, SJW’s, and Antifa, are not really looking for answers, only retribution and the thrill of mob rule, allowing them to tear the fabric of our society apart. When Gays first came out of the closet, they meekly announced their presence to society. Somehow, that has morphed from a quiet entrance to a revolution, through to multiple genders, trans, and qwertyxyz, to now loudly and aggressively demand, that their rights and privileges be front and center. I see the same thing happening with Antifa, SJW’s, and BLM etc. This will not end easily or quietly, and could result in a civil war.

    All these factions are having their ego’s fed, and they will greedily clamor for more. Coupled with the Covid lock down, a battered economy, the dollar devaluation, due to over the top government spending, both in the US and in Canada for Covid relief. Large companies bowing to the BLM, movement, plus Dem Governor’s, Mayor’s, and SJW’s pandering to the same mob, our society is devolving, and as mob rule displaces sober debate and discussion about how we move forward, this will not end peacefully or easily. Instead of behaving like adults, these spoiled children will continue to unravel everything that Western society has built, until that society steps up and locks it down. Unfortunately I don’t see or think that will be happening!

    1. SDH it was the turning to shoot the TASER at the cops that got him shot. I wonder why the cop didn’t shoot him in the legs …. I know they are trained to shoot center mass but given the running away and lack of a real gun the police officer had the time to make the leg shot call and unfortunately made a bad choice IMO. Lots of adrenaline involved here for parties and the bad decisions …. run away and kill shot could be down to that simple fact.

      I went looking for a criminal record on the victim ( Rayshard Brooks) and found nothing.

      1. Mr Pid, Have you ever tried to shoot a moving target, while moving yourself, with a handgun at 15 – 20 feet? Even at center mass it’s not that easy, trying to shoot at moving legs is gonna be difficult, and a likely miss, shot at a downward angle, will ricochet off the pavement, and then you’ll have no idea where that bullet will end up! It would be a bad idea to even attempt that kind of shooting. Yes, a highly trained competitive shoot could manage such a shot, but it ain’t easy, and cops are not that highly trained. Perhaps you should try shooting IPSC competition to fully understand those realities!

      A more accurate framing would be this: “A drunk guy who fights with the cops, and even steals a taser from the cops, may not deserve to get shot, but it’s not an unlikely outcome.”

    What law, exactly, was Rayshard Brooks breaking when the police decided to arrest him?

    He was passed-out drunk, in his car, on private property. Now perhaps trespassing, since Wendy’s didn’t want him there. But is there any indication he was trying to drive away when he was accosted by the police? They gave him a field sobriety test and tried to arrest him because they thought he shouldn’t be driving, but is there any indication he was trying to leave the area in a car while too drunk to drive?

    Because I’m thinking the proper solution to this problem is “come on, buddy, you can’t stay here, we’re going to call you a cab”.

    1. come on. if you’re sitting in the driver seat and have the keys with you, it is assumed you’re about to drive, regardless of whether you’re asleep or awake. passed out in the drive-thru-lane, it’s not much of a stretch that he’d been driving.

    2. Look at the law book …. u can’t sleep pissed in ur car … it qualifies as impaired.
      However I agree and if Brook’s had no previous impaireds a cab ride would have been a better outcome.

    3. Don’t pass out drunk in your own car in your own driveway. It is assumed that you were drunk when you drove there and sure as hell you are going to jail and losing your licence for at least a year. In Canada the police can freaking charge you for being drunk in your own home. Canadians are very stupid. Private property means nothing and in Canada search warrants are not needed to come into your home. Just spend some time reviewing the SCOC rulings to find out just how much a fascist country you live in.

  12. Much has been made about this dead perp being such a wonderful family man and that he had just come from his daughters 8th birthday and whatnot. As a father of three … my family would have adult beverages at my children’s birthday parties … but nobody ever lost consciousness … most of all me! At 8yo … I was playing catch with my son’s new baseball glove … or riding bikes with my daughters new pink bike (she likes the color pink, so BACK OFF feminazis).

    No responsible, respectable, father gets blind drunk at his daughters birthday party … and no respectable family allows the drunk baby daddy to drive away from the birthday party shit faced drunk.

We all have friends and family members who are not as disciplined and smart as we are. When they fail as human beings, they do not deserve to be executed by the state as this unfortunate person was.

      1. I respect your response and can understand some people’s hatred of the police. I don’t share that hatred. But this shooting appears justified by all the rules and procedures for the PD. It’s horrible and tragic, but the LAW says you must NOT resist arrest, and you must NOT assault a police officer. Period.

        I like to tell (and re-tell) the story of when I was a DUMB college student at UC Berkeley, and had been playing poker and drinking Lucky Lager bottles of beer all night at a friends apt. The beer we POOR college students drank that came in 12 pack for like $4.00 and had the screw caps with the picture puzzles. You knew you were drunk when you couldn’t solve the puzzle inside 10sec. I left the poker game at about 1am … pretty buzzed … alright … very drunk. the streets were empty, and I lived only about 12 blocks away. And got stopped by a Berkeley Police car. When the cop asked for my license, I remembered that I had put my wallet in my gym bag behind my seat. I opened my door slightly and reached for my wallet in the back seat. When I started to come up from my reach-around … there was a 9mm pointing in my face. I froze. And told the officer, that I am SO SORRY! profusely apologizing for doing something that looked really bad and dangerous (to the cop). The officer KNEW I was wasted … he asked, and I told him the truth about where I’d been and what I had been doing … but had enough self control and awareness to drive the 4-more blocks back to my home. He let me go.

        I could also have been executed that night, but for my awareness and understanding that I had potentially put a cop’s life in danger. It was either a) my white privilege that kept me alive, b) my situational awareness and polite demeanor, or c) the Berkeley cops are simply a different breed. Probably a thru c

      2. IDNF, Unfortunately cops have to make split second decisions that we basement quarterbackers can chew over for hours. It was an unfortunate end for this man, but when a cop is in the middle of arresting you and applying handcuffs, and you then turn violent and scuffle with said cop, then take’s a Tazer and runs, the natural thing for the cop to do is chase. When the arrestee turns while running and discharges the Tazer, the cop sees a weapon, possibly a lethal weapon pointed at him or his partner, his split second decision was to discharge his firearm! Wrong? Perhaps. Maybe he should have just shot it out of his hand /sarc, It was also wrong to fire him without even an investigation, and they are also talking about a possible murder charge. To call him a low IQ thug, when he was doing his job, is just plain wrong!

        One day a cop might take a DUI driver off the street before he runs down you or someone close….at least hopefully they will. Why would anyone become a cop with all the crap being thrown at them is also a concern, because when the good ones resign, or don’t become a cop, you might end up with a bunch of low IQ thugs in that position instead!

        While I’m at it, that Minnesota cop charged with George Floyd’s murder that started this latest Sh&t show running, was wrong yes, manslaughter perhaps, but, I don’t think he would deliberately murder someone in broad daylight in plain view of many citizens just because he thinks he can get away with it!

        We are indeed, “on the brink of destruction!”

          America is going to burn down if justice is served and he is found not guilty. The coroner said Floyd died of a heart attack. He was charged with murder and manslaughter. Good luck arguing against your own coroner. He should have been charged with criminal negligence causing death for failing to recognize a heart attack in someone in his custody. Sure the privately hired coroner said it was murder but he was paid to give that opinion.

      3. Executed implies something cold, practiced and sanctioned by a court of law. Clearly since the cop was fired, that is not the case. Nor was it in cold blood, calculated and designed to cause death. FFS he stole the cops taser and turned to fire it back at the cop. Let’s not forget the facts here. If you don’t want police to shoot you, be polite, don’t break the law, don’t resist, and above all don’t attack them. For some reason knowing that seems to be regarded as a white privilege thing. When did common sense become white privilege?

  14. Sitting in my armchair, I wonder why the other cop couldn’t Tazer him. It was still 2 sober cops to 1 drunk. If a Tazer is life-threatening (and it is at the Vancouver airport in the hands of the RCMP) then why have them? Plus, the cops knew the dude and had his car. Where was he going to to run to, Canada? The guy was an idiot and a fool, but I think shooting him dead was too much.

    1. Watch the video I linked. The other cop was trying to taser him. Also, the video doesn’t go over this, but the one officer spoke to the guy for over 40 min before it was time to cuff the guy. He did a field sobriety test, and a breathalyzer, the guy blew over .10. But watch the video and see for yourself.
