    1. I can’t believe the Calgary Sun published this FAN BOY garbage but there it is.

      **Trudeau has exhibited a fondness for facial hair in the past.
      In younger days, including when he was first elected as an MP, he sported a variety of moustaches, goatees and the occasional beard, along with longer, more unruly hair. Critics carped from time to time that he looked like a pirate or a drug lord.
      But since being elected Liberal leader in 2013, Trudeau has resolutely stuck to short locks and a clean-shaven face — until now.
      His new beard is neatly trimmed and flecked liberally with grey. It seems to match Trudeau’s stated intention to take a lower profile, more businesslike approach to his second mandate, keeping the focus on concrete bread-and-butter initiatives and shifting the spotlight to his team of cabinet ministers.**

        1. I think it speaks more to how much Shiny’s favoured diversity groups and their media mouth pieces despise the CPC and their supporters. A more skilled CPC leader could have beaten Shiny even though that win would have been historic. Scheer’s lack of leadership is really showing up now that he lost. The CPC is going to split unless someone very skilled can keep the base on board. Frankly, I don’t see that person.

          The major problem with the CPC is that it’s elite are not of the same cloth as it’s voters. How many CPC voters would vote for Tasha? Rona? Anderson? Baird? Or, McLaughlin? All of them scolding the base on how they have to be more like the Liberal/NDP cabal!

  7. I see the Finns are about to embark on the 6 hour day 4 day work week. Having already tried and failed with a guaranteed annual income – this time they are determined to get it right.

    I could never figure out why Finland fought the Soviet Union in WW11, the Finns love communism. Many moved join the commies in Karelia in the 30’s. They found out good and hard what a nice guy uncle joe stalin was.

  8. Media reports this Tuesday morning say 35 Iranians were killed, and 40 more injured, in a stampede at the late General Soleimani’s funeral. A real tragedy that. Reminds me of the time of the dear Ayatollah Khomeini’s funeral, in June 1989, when the mourners became so frenzied, they charged the casket and spilled his corpse onto the ground.

And Post Millennial reports that Blackie’s CBC is asking permission from Ottawa to show less Canadian content. I guess over a billion dollars a year of taxpayer money is not enough. I hope this doesn’t effect its new Canadian version of Family Feud, or its revamping of Anne Of Green Gables every year. Well, as long as the cutbacks don’t effect its daily coverage that Canadians are racist bastards.

  12. SDAers are invited to flame me for this, but it must be said. Conservatives like myself support Trump’s actions against Iran, and as seen the dominant left-wing establishment has condemned Trump’s actions. But a few days ago, Trump tweeted that the U.S. has targeted 52 Iranian targets, “some of them cultural”. Needless to say, the anti-Trump media cartel distorted this to say that ALL 52 targets are “cultural”. And the cartel is playing the cultural aspect repeatedly.

    So why would Trump say something dumb like having cultural targets? First off, targeting cultural institutions, like antiquities, is a war crime. Ssecond, such a move would anger people of all political stripes, including me. Third, standard military tactics state that any initial cruise missle strikes would target leaders (“decapitation”), radar installations and Iran’s cruise missile sites. Only a fool would waste precious cruise missiles on cultural sites.

    To be fair, in a later tweet Trump said that, if the U.S. retaliated, it would target Iran’s leaders. But the media cartel will still sharp on the first tweet. It is idiot tweets like this which will put the Democrats in the White House.

      Twitter posts played a large role in dealing with North Korea for example.

      What are the Iranians thinking when they read about cultural targets? What are cultural targets anyway? Does that mean the mosque of the mullahs while they are all at services?

      Some people take Trump literally but not seriously, others do the opposite. As far as what gets targeted in Iran, I don’t much care. Iran has been at war with west since 1979, and every now and then someone on our side notices.

    2. David: I call Trump’s “cultural targets” tweet brilliant – for many reasons, but here I list a few. The Iranian’s were targeting American citizens. I’m not an expert but I’m pretty sure that is a war crime. Trump is saying to Iran “kill Americans (war crime) we will bomb your precious cultural targets (war crime). An eye for an eye. Second – the tweet was troll bait for Democrats who bit down hard. In one tweet Trump has the Democrats defending Iran for killing Americans. Third, the Trump rhetoric has exceeded the Iran rhetoric (which is hard to do). Most of what Iran has done is hide behind buildings and throw rocks. Trump wants to draw them out into the street where they can be suitably punished. But Iran is clever. They won’t step away from the safety of the walls. They just yell louder. Trump is crushing Iran’s leaders with trolling greats such as “Iran never won a war and never lost a negotiation”. This is a call out that Trump knows what Iran is doing (rhetoric) and he isn’t falling for it. I see your rhetoric and raise you a decimated cultural building. And I just spent 2 trillion American dollars upgrading MY military.

      Imagine Iran killing American civilians working in Iraq. Then imagine Trump blowing up a mosque that houses terrorists. Then imagine Iran going to any international body (like the UN or Unesco) and crying foul. Imagine Unesco trying to punish the US for destroying a building and not punishing Iran for killing innocent Americans. Finally imagine the Democratic party supporting Unesco and not criticizing Iran. Forget about impeachment. They are handing Trump an election victory.

  23. Blackie’s Toronto Star reports that Canadian troops will be moved out of Iraq to Kuwait. This follows standard Blackie’s policy that his new army should not be put in harm’s way, especially if that war criminal Trump is involved. Nice support for our American allies stupid.

  24. It is indeed amazing to see the left all over Trump about his culture tweet. While the left are in apoplexy over a threat to a foreign culture they are implicit in destroying our own culture. The left immediately jump on Trump by saying his tweet is a threat to destroy ancient historical monuments, these same people did absolutely nothing when the Taliban were destroying thousand year old statues and ransacking museums, but Trump tweeting about culture well that is a different kettle of fish. Notice how there has been nothing in the news of late about the fire in Notre Dame Cathedral. Was that fire caused by an accident in construction or by someone who was out to destroy a culture. A culture is not destroyed by a singular act of war it is caused by an incremental destruction and erosion of beliefs, and a pitiful acquiescence of a group of people that are more willing to succumb to an inferior influence than to defend, at cost, the ideals that formed their own culture. The West has been destroying its own culture by voting in quislings for the last fifty odd years. They have orchestrated this demise. It will only accelerate from here on unless we see more leaders like Trump, and sadly there is a dearth of them in this generation.

  31. There is a great story circulating around about the ruskies.

    Apparently the russian sports channel had the broadcast rights to the world jr hockey tournament and brought the games to their audience. The ruskies made it to the gold medal game against Canada. In steps Vlad who orders the big game be telecast on state run tv (think cbc) and pulls the game from the sports channel who had the rights.

    The sports net then simultaneously broadcasts the 2011 tournament that featured the same teams (Canada/russia) but that one the ruskies won. Well guess what? Half of russian thought they won gold and even ruskie hockey pucks who now play in the NHL watched the game sending congrats until they saw themselves playing! They then figured it out…..
