He Admires Their Basic Dictatorship

Canada is back!

China warned Canada on Friday that it needs to be aware of the consequences of aiding the U.S. in a case involving the Chinese tech giant Huawei that is believed to have sparked the detentions of two Canadians in China.

Foreign ministry spokesman Geng Shuang’s comments Friday came after U.S. Vice-President Mike Pence and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau called for the release of Michael Kovrig and Michael Spavor. […]

“We hope that the Canadian side can have a clear understanding of the consequences of endangering itself for the gains of the U.S. and take immediate actions to correct its mistakes so as to spare itself the suffering from growing damage,”

  1. Trudeau is regretful that he hasn’t yet achieved the level of corruption and tyranny required to ingratiate himself towards the admirable PRC. How will he ever regain their trust?

  2. F**k China. They want our wealth and they covet our resources and they would exterminate us if the US didn’t scare the living shit out of them.

  3. The ChiComs are concerned that the 5G network could be in jeopardy in Canada, then topple in the rest of the world.

5G is a weaponized system, using infrared wavelength to be a spying tool.

Canada, especially HNIC is sponsored by a Chinese company.

Refund CBC and the Chinese now!!

  4. Why we trade with these commie b*****ds is beyond me. They would and have killed millions of their own so we mean nothing to them. Shift our trade to others in the Pacific rim, India for example at least has elections and we don’t need translators to talk to them. (yes I know there is a great deal of corruption but who are we to complain with SNC and Irving).

    1. “They would and have killed millions of their own so we mean nothing to them. ”

And THAT, is all that needs to be said!

  5. Time to take a page out of Putin’s playbook on how to deal with those that use kidnapping for the purposes of extortion.
The detainees are as good as dead.
Now that its understood that they cannot be saved under the current situation, its best to proceed with the one action that will cause the chicom leader to dramatically lose face.
Put Meng on a plane to New York ASAP.
The message that will resonate through the entire politburo at that point is that if they can’t control a weakling like the Sockmonkey then they will not be able to control anyone.

But seeing as the Sockmonkey and his red dwarf still think they can negotiate with the chicoms by straddling the fence I won’t be holding my breath.

    1. New York? Where she can live under “house arrest” in another swanky apartment while the American judicial system drags its feet till a Democrat gets in the White House and the new attorney-general drops the charges?

No. Put a bullet in her head and ship the carcass back to party headquarters in Beijing. That message will be received loud and clear.

      1. Well, broken clock theory. But posts from “A Canadian” are correct far fewer times than twice a day. It has been a while since he used blatantly racist terms like “negress”, and “jewess”, … must be a different person issuing the talking points or something…

      2. better yet, find a worthy organ recipient.
        seriously.
even if the ones in charge forge her signature and arrange an accident.
in a different world and time it would happen.
these developments are a delightful intro to the true mindset of chirese communism.

  6. The fact that NK Kim killed 5 of his negotiation team for their failure…should warn those who think China is just a misunderstood Communist Government, second thoughts….Rabid Animals come to mind!

    1. Its getting easy to predict what actions the Sockmonkey will take on this.
Consider what actions a strong leader would take, and then expect that the Sockmonkey will do the exact opposite.
Then if asked about the issue he crawls out the window.

  7. Diversifying away from USA trade is a national security issue for Canada. China was an attractive option on the surface. Reality strikes a ugly pose as China demonstrates a long term plan for subjugating Western interests.

The depth of most Canadian thinking now rotates around the Raptors and ‘grass’ stocks. Far away from national strategic concerns. Canada had a world class industry in oil and gas and that has been destroyed. Not just an industry that brought billions of $’s into government coffers but also an industry of leading edge engineering and research. So why do Westerners now want to split away from Canada? 100’s of thousands lose their jobs out West and the country fiddles as the inevitable collapse approaches.

So many take comfort in thinking that Turdeau is the problem. He is a buffoon of the highest order. Eastern Canada took comfort in electing such a person and shunning Harper who was the closest thing to being an adult in the political room. Harper had lots of room for critic but then truly national issues are never part of an election process in this country.

By the nature of its economy Canada is a ‘price taker’ and therefore a country to be taken advantage of. Harper was actually diversifying Canadian trade with EU and S. Korea and forcing entry to the TransPacific talks. A cash rich Canada, via oil, threatened many countires, Russia, OPEC, China and yes the USA. Canada had the opportunity to put her ‘big boy pants’ on and failed miserably. I do not expect Canada to come out of the next debt crisis intact.

    1. “I do not expect Canada to come out of the next debt crisis intact.”

Well that would put an end to the transfer scam.

      1. The transfer scam will never end, as long as there is a “Canada”, the gold bullion wheels on the cash from the ROC train keep rolling for Quebec. And Quebec alone.

Sometimes they throw some scraps to the maritimes, and those rubes swallow that shit like it was Russian caviar, but that is about it.

    2. Your argument is incoherent. Since the carbon tax will also force Canada to “ diversify away “ from sales to the US, you must support it, big time.

By your “ price taker “argument, you totally discount the ability of Canadians to work competitively, or innovate. Canada, in truth, does next to no trade with the US- the trade is with 1000’s of US firms. Refineries on the gulf coast write contracts for crude delivery, not the US government. The only way that US oil trade with Canada is harmful is the devaluation of the Canadian dollar under Trudles. That’s it. The best thing for Canada is for the government to stay out of the oil trade. They would like nothing better than to deliver oil sands to Chinese “ investors “ on a silver platter.

What Canada needs to diversify away from is the Liberal Party rule, and government by the insider – Liberal or conservative- for the insider.

  8. Meng to the US Marshals would be one response. Embargoing all hydrocarbon shipments to China would be another. Escalating beyond that–and I hate to hear myself say it–would be nationalizing all China-owned or -controlled energy companies in Canada.

    1. Go for a twofer.

Hand them over to the natives as a gesture of “reconciliation”.

      1. I was wondering what to do after taking them. That might be interesting, though it still wouldn’t be enough to satisfy the grievance industry.

  9. Trudeau is a total wimp lets China Cow-Tow him Canada needs a better PM then this little twerp

    1. This servile, go-ahead-rub-my-face-in-the-shit-again from turdo and his crew is more than simple wimpishness, Spurwing.

It can mean only one thing: they are so utterly compromi$ed by the Chi-coms that they have no choice but to take it.

  10. Jesse Kelly
    @JesseKellyDC

There is no way Donald Trump is going to get help securing the Southern border from a broken, horrifically corrupt government full of criminals who’d rather take bribes than do something for the good of their country.

So I see why he turned to Mexico instead.

    Sounds like Canada eh?

  11. This is a real dilemma.
The ruling class in Ottawa don’t think they can do much. It is why it takes so long to dissipate the arrest of that Huawei woman. They would really, really, really like it to go away. The woman has no power she is just a figurehead, though a rich one.
This is what was reported, don’t know if this is a fact or not:
    https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2019/05/former_top_mi6_spy_reveals_huawei_99_owned_by_china_communist_union.html#ixzz5pAOm3HE7

Anyway, population of over 1B is not going to give any thought to population of 35M, other than get over here have a kid and get free stuff.
There is no critical mass here.
Chinese may stop importing from Canada, that will be painful. Although the population of the world is many B more than China and new markets means investing money and work.
Canada can stop importing from China, don’t know if Chinese would notice.

Nonetheless, the ruling class, instead of telling Chinese how to run their country, how to change their social structure and other such bs, should tell the Chinese to work on business.

As for the two characters that the Chinese busted, is there anybody that knows as a fact what was their purpose in China?
If they were there to admire the socialism, well they should know that communists and socialists will have the final say on approved behavior.
Other than that they will kill you.

  12. A figurehead perhaps.
But if she was only a figurehead then what value does she have other than symbolic of the reach of the chicoms, that they want to keep her out of a US court room.
If she faced the prospect of a jail sentence in a US prison what would she offer in return to US authorities?
And if she did, would she consider staying in the US a better fate than going back to an uncertain fate in China?

  13. People could have treated China the same way they treated the East Bloc and boycotted it until it cried “Uncle!”

People didn’t because they wanted the slave labour.

Justin has been offering bits of Canada to the Chinese. Of course they expect the lot.
