Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

This were they want it to go. Post Birth Abortion. https://jme.bmj.com/content/39/5/261.abstract
Look no further than in New York.
Who wants to overturn Roe-v-Wade?
New York State (and other woke leftists) want to overturn Roe-v-Wade.
This video just reminded me that Roe-v-Wade ONLY granted ABSOLUTE abortion rights to the First Trimester. That the statute clearly and concisely remands the remaining trimesters to the statutes of the States. So it is New York State that is undermining Rowe-v-Wade.
Brilliant move all you woke, third wave feminists and Anti-Constitutional murderous subversives! Brilliant. Your ghoulish power grab has unleashed the other States to JOIN your challenge of the Courts decision. Now behold the WAR you’ve unleashed. Idiots.
Post Birth Abortion. And people say evil is relative.

The Heart Beat Law protects the Baby (Fetus) and without ANY Exceptions does not attempt to Control the Mothers (Women) The exceptions for Rape or Incest are really a poison pill that can’t be anything but controlling. The State judicial system can/may have options in an individual application…..
The problem is States Rights vs Federal and All Republican States should consider themselves Southerners (Civil war) until the wrongs have been righted. The Federal system (including SCOTUS) have violated multiple constitutional Rights of State individual Citizens.
Each State has Rights that include, but are not limited too…
1. Health & medical regulations (Abortion)
2. Insurance regulation Health, Auto. Life
3. Education @ all levels
4 Traffic laws & State Taxation
5. Marriage regulations (Gay marriage)
6. Judicial Jurisdiction & Legal enforcement within the State.
JMHO… Remember to fly the Southern Battle Flag
There is no such thing as ‘state’s rights’ only individuals have rights. But by all means fly the flag of the slaver states. It’s who you really are.
States and other bodies have rights granted to them by their citizens.
They have powers and privileges, which are proper when used to defend the rights of individuals. Only individuals have rights.
One of our God-given rights is to delegate our individual rights to bodies that we assemble for those purposes that we cannot manage individually (ie. policing, courts, .. and other sewers) Hairy chested men with squirrel guns have their uses but are simply incapable of performing the complex jobs that individuals (in theory) mandate governments to perform. Similarly, in theory, State or Provincial governments surrender “rights” to a central government for the benefit of consistent and immediate handling of common concerns such as foreign affairs (read “war”).
Enter human nature; by a corollary of Parkinson’s Law, the people at each level of management will find space for assuming more of the “rights” of the other levels – and the trend is generally from bottom (individual) to top (senior government).
So, I have the RIGHT to ignore all my State’s draconian anti-fossil fuel taxes? Good to know. Time to exercise my “individual rights”
// The Heart Beat Law protects the Baby (Fetus) and without ANY Exceptions does not attempt to Control the Mothers //
Many women don’t even realize they are pregnant at that early age. So the “heartbeat” law rules out the choice of abortion.
That is control with a vengeance.
Terms like “heartbeat” and “baby” are emotive and bizarre at this stage. What can be detected is rhythmic electrical activity in a group of cells. The entire “baby” is the size of a lentil.
Every lifeform is simply electro-chemical activity in groups of cells; the “lentil” happens to have a full set of genetic instructions to become an individual similar to you. There is no time after the DNA assembles when there can be doubt that a baby is growing. We are just as human at 70 as at 12 as at 1 month after fertilization – only our stage in the progression from conception to death differs.
No, not simply. A group of cells is not a heart. A lentil-sized fetus may be “Just as human” but hat doesn’t mean it has or should have its rights determined by politicians or clerics rather than by the person in whom it is growing.
I understand the basic difference in values. For those who believe that “human” means having a soul & that it means in turn that a fertilized egg, blastocyst etc all are human in that sense & that killing one is killing a human. [not murder; that is a legal definition]
When the choice is life or death even a full-term fetus will be sacrificed to save the mother.
At earlier stages the mother should have the choice to decide whether to continue the life of the fetus.
I don’t like abortion. But there are a lot of situations I don’t like but don’t intend to correct, because the people concerned have the right to make those choices.
If one were REALLY concerned to reduce the number of abortions, early sex education, easily available contraception, better prenatal and postnatal care, day care etc would do that. Unfortunately, those states which are bringing in these laws are just the ones which fail mothers & babies at every stage.
Potential being =/= actual being
60 million babies killed while in the womb, yep, we sure are a compassionate civilized bunch.
The United States was founded by 13 equal independent countries that went to war for their own independence. They united for security with very limited central governance. They did not unite to make the union supreme over the states. Canada was also a union of countries independent within the empire. Provincial law is overturned constantly by the federal government. That’s not the way it is supposed to be.
It shouldn’t be that a centralised government has law made by unelected judges for an ignorant population but here we are.
You are right scar. Confederation means the uniting of Sovereign States or Provinces for a common benefit. Each Province has a Parliament, has a Head of State, a Prime Minister, a Supreme Court and lower courts, and Sovereign Borders. The Provinces created the Parliament at Ottawa. The land the Parliament Buildings sit on, belongs to the people of Ontario.
“Provincial law is overturned constantly by the federal government. That’s not the way it is supposed to be.”
That’s exactly how it’s supposed to be ex state constraints on gun ownership getting gunned down for the 2A
The US and Canada were comprised of colonies prior to independence, which by definition were not independent, but part of the British Empire of the day. American colonies won independence through war. Canadian (British North American) colonies gradually evolved to independence via the rule of law. In the US, after their revolutiion they attempted a confederal system which quicly evolved into a federal model. Canada’s “Confederation” was actually a federation from the start.
The pro-abortion harpies never wanted anything other than the right to cheat on their husbands and destroy the evidence of adultery before their husbands found out and won the right to throw them and their black bastards out on the street.
The root of all evil is not money. It’s women who don’t know when they’re well off.
LOL check out Captain Cuck over here
The SCC struck down Canada’s last abortion law in the 80’s. No government since has had the courage to address the issue. Canada and Vietnam are the only countries that have no abortion law.
The tide in the US appears to be coming in? Since Roe v Wade politicians have been loath to take the issue on. Public opinion seems to be changing and maybe the pendulum is swinging back toward the center? The USA is very religious as compared to a secular place like Canada.
