      1. I haven’t either. Maybe someone should ask him. Even though they are french speakers, practicing Catholics aren’t exactly, with some irony, his “natural constituency”.

        Albeit he did speak out against the priest being stabbed at the Montreal oratory; so I suppose we should wait until some sort of statement is made; other than roaring silence.

  14. OK give the investigators some slack here and assume maybe it was an accident. How then to explain the apparent lack of security, or lack of supervision to ensure nothing happened to what is, or was,
    a priceless building. Given the known attacks on other churches, the irresistible longing to score big with world icons and the timing of holy week. I would expect round the clock security and utmost care with the restoration. The day after $ Billions have been pledges to rebuild, but even some of this could have possibly prevented whatever occurred. Something in Paris doesn’t seem quite right.
