1. It’s not hard to see how leftist delusion has permeated all corners of our society.

   The more committed lefties repeatedly demonstrate that they won’t hesitate to switch ALL the rules off when they have convinced themselves of the virtuousness of their crusade. For supposed ‘scientists’ to openly discuss skewing results to facilitate a ‘greater good’ is sickening to me.

   When you look at how the left steamrolled their propaganda machine over Kavanaugh and these Covington teens, to name only two, it is not hard to imagine their willingness to piss all over scientific integrity in the name of promoting their crusade, too.

   The current Global Warming scaremongering is Fake Science. Faked for the same reasons they fake their news. Control.

2. They really have no clue about any of it do they?

   1. Not only do they have no clue, they can not have a clue when something is so complex with so many variables and they are trying to account for each one. Before computers enabled finite element methods for analysis (problem is too big for such methods to be accurate) analogous models would be made to simplify the calculation and be validated against measured data, but those are out of fashion now.

      It is also important in any government funded crisis study that the studies conclusion be that there is indeed a crisis, but it requires further study, lest one become unemployed.

      1. I’ve mentioned this several times before on SDA, but it’s worth repeating.

         One thing I learned while I was a grad student is that most academics are after one thing and one thing only: tenure. Once they have their place at the golden hog-trough, they’ll do anything to stay there. But that seat comes at a price. They have to justify their paycheques and some will do just about anything to keep the money rolling in.

         Then again, the universities they work for are now little more than money-harvesting machines. Those same academics, who all claim to be champions of truth and knowledge, have to contribute their share to the system and will do whatever it takes to maintain their funding. So, if there’s money in saying that black is white, they’ll submit grant proposals to say they’ll investigate that black is indeed white.

         Another thing I learned is that, if one wants to remain inside the system, one does not challenge the prevailing orthodoxy nor should one be too original. If the consensus is that black is white, one shouldn’t go around saying that there are other colours, such as grey or purple and that those colours are equally as valid and can be proven to be so.

            I find it curious that invariably capitalism is condemned for all sorts of short comings primarily ethical and misguided use of resources. Academia gets a major pass on verifying what influences their conclusions and positions.

            I would suggest that much of the positioning we see is in fact promoting a cause to create a job. Yes the proverbial “rice bowl”. A huge number of graduates from academia have no skills that industry will pay for. How do these people feed themselves otherwise. PHD’s slinging coffee? IMHO the early GreenPeace movement set the stage. Their challenges were met by government funded studies which led to job growth and a subset of jobs based on the threat of long term environmental degradation. There is almost no accountability in this ‘industry’. Media love it as they can run expert based ‘scare’ scenarios that get them their ‘touches’. Their jobs become more secure. Government love it as they can tax to increase their budgets as well.

            In a slow growth world where industry struggles to increase revenue the toll on job creation becomes inevitable. Profitability is often based more on automation and cutting expenses. Governments increase the share of GDP in response. Turdeau can buy a $5 billion non-existent pipeline and get away with it. Notley can restrict oil production in AB and get away with it. The role of capitalism in the allocation of capital to scarce resources is usurped. The proportion of society that “fill their rice bowl” through this process grows. Since there is no checks and balances on this side of the equation there will be excesses and a gradual deterioration of the economy. It is socialism and it is what has destroyed Venezula. Anyone who cannot or will not see this repeating in Canada or even the USA are fools.

         The problem is they are avoiding all variables other than CO2. There are thousands of variable with the controlling factor likely being the intensity of solar radiation. The climate theocrats ascribe global warming which, by observation, isn’t actually happening to a 300 or 400 parts per million invisible gas.

         1. Actually, with the modelling methods they have, they are trying to account for each one, because they can not make the crisis case based on the properties of CO2 alone. But the effect of each one is only “estimated”. This is where all their talk of positive feedback loops comes from. The overall feedback loop has to be negative, or the earths climate would be an unstable system which could not support life long enough for it to evolve, much like placing a microphone in front of a speaker.

            Anyone that says CO2 is the driving force behind climate is clueless, as it is an inert gas that produces no energy. The driving signal is the suns output, and everything else is just part of the standard negative feedback loop. (Actually the best model would have 3 feedback loops, proportional, integral, an derivative, and the effect of all of these would be a stable system. Nobody really wants to get into the details of system modelling though.)

When people like No Time McKenna, a lawyer, tell us that “carbon” is THE pollutant and that it will doom us all (so we need to tax you filthy humans) it really shows how much contempt she and her kind have, not just for humans, but for the wonderful complexities of nature, the environment and reality.

6. A most interesting Article….I think that it lends itself to the notion that CO2 has squat to do with planetary warming….a Notion I find to be 100% MAN Made Bullshit. A Monetized – Weaponized Gas with 1 purpose: To extract every penny from you and me.

   Why is there never any mention of the Sun, and its output variability …??
   That ball of Plasma orbiting 93Million miles away is the ONLY Source of Planetary warmth…as it ever was, yet ….. crickets.

7. The agenda driven meme of Catastrophic Climate is proof of a simple fact,which was confirmed by the CRU emails released 2009,policy based evidence manufacturing has replaced evidence based policy making.

   When looking at the bureaus and NGO’s funding this agenda, this simple truth leaps out.
   Our government has declared war on the people.

   There is no way around this conclusion,the willingness to lie and refuse to provide the evidence claimed to exist,followed by blatant attacks upon citizens who ask for this evidence,shows a bureaucracy openly hostile toward those who feed them.
   They all talk of “The Science” yet none can produce it..Yet policy rules state that this evidence must accompany the policy documents.

   Catastrophic Anthropogenic Global Warming is an intelligence test,one that exposes the fools and bandits who provide high cost parasitic “services” to their hosts,the very taxpayers they openly despise.
   The Emperors New Clothes rewrit on a modern society,those who “see the wonderful clothe” are exposing themselves for the gullible or money hungry creatures they be.
   There is little middle ground here,either they are fools and fooled or they knowingly promote this hysteria in pursuit of power/profit,therefore being bandits.
