He may have appeared so publicly, as he showed with the War Measures Act. Yet, he was always ready to please them, such as letting the FLQ kidnappers quietly return to Canada.
Trudeau was a separatist (and fascist, until he became a communist) most of his early life. At some point he realized that Quebec could not make it on its own, so instead he set about reforming the government of Canada to become dominated by Quebecois in every aspect of it’s functioning and demote the rest of the country to colonial status. There is nothing wrong with that ad. It’s a good one. Any criticism of the Liberal’s handling of immigration will be met with cries of racism. When you knuckle under it makes it look like you agree, that you are a racist. Yet to say nothing is to ignore one of the major threats to the country. Soon Hussen (or Trudeau) will be telling us that if we object to all the people crossing the border illegally and putting a strain on housing and social services, etc., we should find another country. I don’t think Conservatives are wrong to call attention to this issue.
And the Speaker had the gall to cut him off for “unparliamentary language.”
The truth is unparliamentary, apparently. The truth about Canada’s being turned into a Third World cesspit by the Liberals. The truth about the NDP being a pack of traitors.
Someone here pointed out that if you get into Canada and you have 8 kids like Mo does his family qualifies for 50k/yr in benefits – from all sources. The feds are leasing hotel rooms by the year for the ‘refugees’ as well.
A friend recently had the misfortune to spend the night in a hotel full of Mo’s. Kids running wild in the hallways. Elevators jammed. Wonder what the hotel looks like after a year of this mayhem?

This study on the US labor participation rate is both fascinating and boring (e.g. 30-70%). The most interesting fact is almost 50% of prime aged men (ages 24-59) who are neither working nor looking for work report taking pain medication and that likely at least 30% of these men are taking opioid-based pain killers. Pretty staggering numbers. Pain medication is increasing rapidly but there is no reduction in pain. Opioid use is higher in areas where more health care providers are available to make prescriptions.
Women who are not working or looking for work are just as happy as working women if they are looking after family members. If they do not have a family they are almost as unhappy as men who are not working or looking for work but they do not use nearly as much pain medication. Fascinating stuff that is boring to read.

Yes, you have put it very well. Père Trudeau was a bully, probably liked by no one, really, just like his egotistical son.
He wanted the smarter Englishmen to learn how to speak and write French because his own kind couldn’t. He forced the useless language down our throats, so that we now have succeeded to get along surprisingly well in Spanish and Italian. AH ha,ha, ha! Backfired!
… fils Trudeau le bébé… wha wha wha! TRUCK YOU too!
I wouldn’t exactly consider French useless, as it is, after all, the language of mathematicians such as Fourier, Laplace, Galois, and Fermat, as well as composers such as Marc Antoine Charpentier, Jean-Baptiste Lully, Jean-Phillipe Rameau, and Hector Berlioz.
I grew up speaking German and English at home and, when I started high school, those who wanted to go on to university were required to take a second language. My parents wanted me to take French, which I did, along with many of my other classmates. (There might have been a bit of family pride at stake. One of my aunts in Berlin spoke not only German and English, but she learned some Dutch when she married someone from the Netherlands.)
Ok but the hillbilly French those peasants in K Bec are speaking ain’t exactly what I’d call the language of mathematicians. More like chainsaw carpenters.
The October Crisis frightened many. Most Canadians don’t REALLY KNOW what we went through.
That doesn’t appear to be taught in schools any more, if it ever was after I finished in the early 1970s. Several years ago, I had some dental work done at the university clinic. I happened to mention to my student that this country had been under martial law at one time. She looked at me as if I was from somewhere south of Mars. Evidently, it was the first time she had heard about it.
Around the time when all that was going on, many of my fellow high school students were fearful that Quebec would actually leave. I was one who had the audacity to suggest that it should separate, considering what the Canada and, earlier, Britain had done to keep it happy, going all the way back to the Quebec Act. I figured that if it didn’t like the deal it was getting, why was it still part of Confederation? I wasn’t very popular in school for the next while.

My comments about Quebec and the French were a grain of madness from me. One tiny grain. I come from there, I make no apologies. They have Anglos in the province as well, so recently noticed by Premier Couillard…albeit a little late Premier? The following quotation says it best: ” Perhaps there is no political opinion that does not contain a grain of madness.”( Maurice, Baillard den. 1945, 487)

Yes woe is me, I’m done caring and I don’t care about Quebec, channeling Mordecai Richler’s “Oh Canada, Oh Quebec”. Also, “what does not destroy me, makes me stronger.” So in an effort especially for you and your seeming encouragement, I say: “Was mich nicht umbringt, macht mich stärker.” (Nietzsche)
PS : Ya would’ve been “popular” with us Anglos, in our gang! Are you kidding? A regular Johnny Rebel! Good story!

“WATCH: Ontario Environment Minister Says “No Carbon Taxes Now, No Carbon Taxes Ever!”
“The Ford government continues to stand up for taxpayers.
While the Trudeau Liberals keep ripping money out of the pockets of taxpayers and devastating Canada’s ability to compete economically, the Ford government is making it clear that they will stand up for taxpayers.
In the video below, watch Ontario Environment Minister Rod Phillips make it clear that there won’t be a carbon tax in the province:…”
“Phillips left no doubt that the Ford government will fight any effort by Trudeau to force the carbon tax on Ontario.”

“Republicans Move to Kill Carbon Tax Before It Gains Steam”
“House to vote on resolution condemning idea of emissions tax
Lawmaker readies tax bill that divides industry, Republicans”
“A new, Republican-led effort to tax carbon dioxide emissions isn’t likely to make it to a vote in the House of Representatives anytime soon — but opponents aren’t taking any chances.”
The House is slated to vote as soon as Wednesday afternoon on a resolution offered by Majority Whip Steve Scalise, a Republican from Louisiana, condemning the very idea of a carbon tax as “detrimental” to the U.S. economy.”

Mark Levin on ‘Psychopaths’ in the Media: ‘They’ve Had More Positions on Russia Than Stormy Daniels’
https://www.breitbart.com/video/2018/07/18/mark-levin-psychopaths-media-theyve-had-more-positions-russia-than-stormy-daniels/
I simply cannot say it any better than a commentor on the BB link already has….
“I realize that sometimes it’s easy to just read the few short paragraphs that summarize these Brietbart videos, and I’m guilty of that myself on occasion.. But in this case, Levin’s monologue was a mike-drop masterpiece that utterly destroyed the Left’s group-thinking conventional wisdom in just over 7 minutes, and it should be heard by everyone who clicked on this,, maybe even more than once!..The bottom line is that it’s all too rare in 2018 to have a chance to listen to this level of intelectual critical thinking based on facts, both historically and currently, so bravo Mark Levin!…..”

“Catherine McKenna, Ontario environment minister trade barbs in carbon tax spat”
“At 9:17 a.m., McKenna tweeted a photo of their meeting.
In her caption, she said the two had discussed “the national plan to tackle climate & create good jobs.”
“Her post did not criticize or mention the fact that the new provincial government has indicated it will back out of the plan to put a price on carbon.”
“Minutes later, Phillips posted his own tweet blasting the plan, which has been a considerable source of tension with the new Ontario government under Premier Doug Ford.”
“I made it clear in my meeting this morning with @cathmckenna that Ontario will never accept the Trudeau Carbon Tax,” he wrote in a caption to his photo, in which both ministers appeared to wear serious expressions.”
