  2. I hope he realizes he has complete freedom to do whatever he wants.
    The media will hate him and spread lies about him no matter what he does so there is no reason to listen to them at all. Nothing he does will please them.
    In a perverse way they have freed him from their influence.

  16. Got a note from someone in the Ontario government (very low level): this is the first change of government for most in management there, and its a pretty radical one at that. They are absolutely panicking. While OPSEU and AMAPCEO members may have a cushion (i.e., they can bump younger workers), the managers are on their own. And they have no idea how to handle the change.

    1. In the private sector, if they had any marketable skills or connections at all, they could simply resign before Doug asks them to choose between that and internal exile in a part of Ontario where there are only two recognized genders, no mosques and nothing to eat but white people food.

      But they don’t, and they won’t. I look forward to their finding out for themselves that nobody will hire an unemployed white man over 40 with no marketable skills and without useful connections for anything—something anyone in Ford Nation could have told them if they had cared at the time.

      Experience keeps a dear school. Liberals learn in no other.

  19. It will be easy for Ford to do better than the egregious Wynne. All he needs to do is – nothing at all. I do hope, though, that he will take up social issues, such as education. Mike Harris never understood that – he kept on with his silly war against teachers, when all he had to do was walk a couple of hundred metres to the Dept. of Education, and FIRE a couple of dozen of the head honchos there. The teachers were largely doing what they were told to do.
