    Love the new captcha system! Less fond of having to back out to the main screen each time I want to change stories. Indifferent to the change in looks, since the content is what brings me back. Same PayPal link still won’t let me donate, tried in Brave and Chrome browsers. Possibly because my wife has a work PayPal account that I’m not logging into, trying to use direct VISA instead?

  5. It has NEVER happened before in the history of television here in North America, but here in Canada they literally shut down a complete network on our collective television system!
    (Sun T.V. News) This channel always gave both sides of the story but the channel was just not there one day without prior warning. Many jobs were lost. Much much too right wing for our lefty powers that be, so some said. Course it was not the case. It was maddening and a real loss, this toss!

  9. I spotted logos for CBS, NBC, ABC and Fox. (Not sure if I missed any others.) These are competitors to each other. All reading the same script. How does that happen?

  10. A Russian was watching the one-eyed monster, flipping channels. The first channel showed Leonid Brezhnev. He switched to the second and it was Leonid Brezhnev. He kept flipping through channels and it was Leonid Brezhnev again and again. Until he reached the last channel. How refreshing to see someone other than Leonid Brezhnev.

  16. Actually, the threat to democracy comes from the media/political cartel.
    The video shows something that is akin to some Buddhist chants, no offence to Buddhists.
    It is also much the same as the sloganeering at antifa fascist gatherings and other socialist extremist’s “protests”.

    The hope for the totalitarians is that the plebeians have no other source to let them know otherwise.

    This is where blogs like SDA need to be more widely read for the single reason that there are more news sources pointed to and more opinions, some wrong, some right. It would be up to the reader to make sense of what is news and what is fake.
    People actually have the capacity to do that.
    Those that are indoctrinated, well, there is no help, the only thing that would help is something like Betty Ford clinic.

  17. The US is a constitutional republic of limited government. Not a democracy. The classic example of a perfect democracy is a lynch mob. A slightly less perfect example is the twitter mob. Might be fun for a while, but most sane, functional people wouldn’t want to live under a real democracy.

  23. The T.V. NEWS often recycles their same news stories the following day also….in case we weren’t paying attention or didn’t notice. If they’re so short of stories they should go back to the 15 minute news show and play a soap opera right after, like the 1950 -1960s style of daytime T.V. with 15 minutes of each. Oh heck, I would even love to see Percy Saltzman again with the weather report flipping his chalk!

    What will the existing CNN NBC ABC Journalists cover in the political world of the 2018 Elections.. They need to clean-out those Journalists who pissed all over themselves….The good old days of Network realignment when suits changed on the way to the Board room… What Republican Fool would go on those Networks as they now exist… April is the meeting of the Network Affiliates (Owners) .. The diving ratings are bad news for everyone.. Won’t see 2020
