There’s an old adage that “my enemy’s enemy is my friend”. This seems to be about the only way to explain why Leftists in the West, particularly much of the MSM, have dismissed the cries for freedom of Iranians:
Starting last Thursday, Iranians by the hundreds of thousands began expressing that disappointment along with rising anger — risking their lives by staging protests in more than two dozen cities across the country. As I write this, an estimated 15 protestors have been killed by government forces. Hundreds have been arrested.
Much of the Western media has downplayed this upheaval. Others have asserted that the protests are just about “a sluggish economy” and “an increase in the price of eggs” — in other words, apolitical and non-ideological.
The chants being heard in the streets tell a different tale. Among them: “We don’t want an Islamic Republic!” “Death to the Dictator!” “Mullahs Must Get Lost!” “The Clerics Act Like Gods!” Death or freedom!” “Leave Syria, think about us!” “Not Gaza, not Lebanon, my life for Iran!” Also this statement of grim determination: “We will die. [But] we will take back Iran.” No, it’s not just the economy, stupid.
Feminism was in poor shape before, but the adoption of identity politics has debauched it utterly.
What’s needed is some kind of political movement that works in the interests of women.
One need only look up ‘Iran’ in the Google search and go to the news tab to debunk this notion that the upheaval has been downplayed or that it’s been entirely pinned on the economy (although it was initially).
Well I did just that and the top three stories were Iran protests fueled by the lifestyles of rich kids, Iran forbids teaching of English and Iran protests caused by failing banks and poor economy.

The Iran freedom movement should have called itself Antifa
The Left (like the UNreal people here) praise and support ANTIFA for “speaking truth to power” (as they burn and smash things and shut-down Free-Speech) … yet mock the motives of a genuine (leaderless) grass roots Iranian anti-Mullah movement in Iran. But this is no surprise and no big deal … because it’s just one of many, many, examples of the leftists inconsistency. Leftist hypocrisy. Meh. Step aside while MY President handles this like an adult. Handles this responsibly … UNlike our former President who put his tongue in the ear of Iranian Mullahs and Theocrats. Which reminds me how the Left cringes, and fights against any self-confessing Christians in Congress (or higher office). They scream “separation of church and State! … yet gleefully support Islamic “church and State” Theocracy in Iran. If it weren’t for UNconsistency … the Left would have nothing. Empty barrels … making noise.
It would appear the Liberal Party considers anyone who doesn’t welcome returning ISIS fighters as Nazis. Yes Breitbart News has a story on a Liberal Party MP who is calling protesters outside his office as Nazis, for questioning little Justin’s approach to returning ISIS murderers.

Leftists have the idea that they are superior in every way to every one else on the planet. That being said they think it is their moral obligation to level the playing field for everyone who is not a leftist. Thus they suppress Christianity and elevate islam. Not that they agree with islam but they feel the nobles oblige to help the helpless or strengthen the weak. Of course leftist are too stupid and full of themselves to ever grasp the idea that their sense of superiority is their undoing and when islam becomes as strong as Christianity the leftists will be removed from power and slaughtered.

No, they’ll be removed from power but they won’t be slaughtered. They’ll convert. The hard core will love Islam, they can be mullahs and morality police, telling other people how to live, snitching on their friends and neighbours who are pure and enthusiastic enough in the new faith. The majority, so easily persuaded that government was the answer to everything, will go along with Islam promising the answer to everything.
Like so many German socialists and Communists who, seeing the Nazis ascendant, joined them or just went along. Only a few stand up and fight-they are destroyed-, some flee (Islam is already dominant in much more of the world than Nazi Germany even attempted to conquer, so there won’t be much of it worth escaping to when Western Europe is Muslim and Canada and Australia have turned dhimmi even before they are conquered so they can preen over being morally superior to the U.S.A. with it’s deplorable patriotism.)

Are you joking me? Obama bombed Libya and a bunch of other places, sometimes rightly often not (ex Libya). Further, it is not the USG’s job to fight evil across the globe.
