  1. Hate that BS myth that men are more whiny about having the flu than women. Where did it start? I think it was a cough medicine commercial in thew 80’s. “Barbara! Barabra! I have a cold.”

  2. Guys have always counted on their Mothers to look after them when they’re sick.
It’s a male thing. They just project that onto their wives. I’m guilty of that as well.
Being rejected just excaberates the condition.

  3. Most commercials these days are sexist in case you haven’t noticed.
    For example, airing recently:
    “Moms don’t take sick days”
Guy needs help to buy a car, so woman shows him how to use an app (can’t remember the name)
Helpless guy doesn’t know how to load the dishwasher.

  4. Why is anyone surprised by this? It’s long been known that women have stronger immune systems, hence the more frequent incidence of autoimmune disease.

  5. unme is correct..
since the 1950s , I’ve been told men react badly to virus/germ invasion’s ,while women have more
    autoimmune problems

  6. So trans people: female-to-male, will suddenly start suffering worse flu symptoms like the men experience? Even the ones who have not undergone any hormone therapy or surgery?

  7. Finally somebody else is saying it.
Wife does not believe when you have cold.
Those familiar with wives know they don’t believe anything you say.
    Heh

  8. ‘Unme is correct’ not a phrase that I ever expected to hear in this place, maybe that Mistle Toe on Bill Clintons belt buckle is really an olive branch.

  9. “Pam, call my mom.” HA HA
OMG, my wife has said forever to her girl friends, “OMG you should see CAS when he has a cold or the flu. You’d think he was dying.”
    Proof. ☺ ☺ ☺
    Love this story! Thanks.

  10. I had to mansplain this to my wife. Something about whimps. I don’t know, I’m not a good listener apparently.
